Careers: Jobs That Pay $100K or More

Remember the jobs bill that President Obama urged Congress to pass in his State of the Union address in late January? Well, he finally signed the $17.6 billion legislation last week after it Ping-Ponged between the Senate and the House for nearly two months. The bill gives tax breaks to businesses hiring people who have been unemployed for at least 60 days and bolsters the federal highway-construction program. The hope: building bridges and roads will translate into new jobs. Will the bill really ease the jobless rate? Even Obama remains skeptical. At the signing, the president said the government still needed to do more to help small businesses access credit and to encourage hiring in the private sector.
