Who is Chris Fischer? Amy Schumer and Rumored Boyfriend Share Instagram Kiss

Love (apparently) is in the air for I Feel Pretty star Amy Schumer. On Sunday, the comedian took to Instagram to post a black-and-white picture of herself kissing chef Chris Fischer. Rumors have swirled since November, claiming they were dating. But Schumer’s Instagram picture, taken in a photo booth at Ellen DeGeneres's 60th birthday party in Los Angeles, seemingly confirmed the chatter.

“Happy Birthday @theellenshow thank you for having us!” she wrote. The picture was liked more than 160,000 times by her 6.4 million followers.

Fischer, 37, rose to fame after working as Mario Batali’s sous chef  this Manhattan restaurant, Babbo. He also wrote the cookbook, Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha’s Vineyard, winning a James Beard Award in 2016.

Since 1961, his family has been in charge of Beetlebung Farm in Martha's Vineyard. “I grew up with a dad and a grandfather who were extremely thrifty,” he told Boston University in 2016. “Getting dinner was an activity. My dad more than anyone displayed to me the pure joy of growing and raising food.”

According to E! Online, Fischer met Schumer through her personal assistant, who is Fischer’s sister. Dating speculation swirled after they were pictured having dinner together in November.

They might have been dating since June, when Schumer said she moved on from ex-boyfriend Ben Hanisch. “I went through a breakup about a month ago,” she told the crowd about Hanisch at the Hilarity For Charity event. “We [dated for] a year-and-a-half, you know, it's not that bad.”

“I'm dating this new dude,” she said, possibly referring to Fischer. “He's awesome. He's like Stephen Hawking…sexually.” At the time, the crowd wasn’t clear if she was kidding or not.

She and Hanisch called it quits in May after meeting on a dating app in November 2015. “Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends,” her rep told E! Online at the time. “As time went on they realized they weren't on the same page or heading in the same direction,” a source added to the publication.

Last year, Schumer opened about her relationship during an interview with Marie Claire. “Being in love is the scariest thing in the world. You want to f--king cry and scream. I can't handle it. Every time we say goodbye, I think, 'This will have been a nice last week together.' Or I tell myself nothing is real and he's going to leave me and tell me he never loved me,” she told the magazine. “I feel so bad for him. How exhausting it must be dating me.”

I will be on @theellenshow tomorrow!!!! #ifeelpretty #balmain
