A few days after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump was roasted by those ”liberal movie people” at the Golden Globes, his predecessor received a far more favorable reaction from the stars.

Hollywood names including Ellen DeGeneres, Katy Perry and Kerry Washington showed their love for President Barack Obama as he addressed the American public in an hour-long farewell.

Talk show host DeGeneres, who has welcomed Obama and his wife Michelle Obama on her sofa numerous times, tweeted:

Scandal star and Obama campaigner Washington echoed the president’s famous rally catchphrase, “Yes, we can,” which he dusted off Tuesday night adding, “Yes, we did.”

Pop star Perry thanked Obama for his “incredible grace in leadership” in an Instagram post:

Actor and director Elizabeth Banks praised Obama’s “classy, eloquent” address, while many other celebrities were similarly effusive.
