Gaza is a hostile territory from which four- thousand rockets have been fired into Israel since its withdrawal in summer 2006.
The Palestinians when Israel withdrew could have concentrated on building their economy and society. Instead they focused on aggression and violence.
Israel is blamed for trying to defend its own citizens, for for instance reducing supplies of fuel when those supplies of fuels are used to fire rockets aimed at killing Israelis and terrorizing its population.
What tremendous one- sided hypocrisy on the part of the hitting and crying Palestinians and their knee- jerk supporters. .

Gaza is hostile territory indeed; thousands of rockets have been fired into Israel from there. In the past six years they have managed to kill twelve Israelis. How many raids on that part have been carried out by the Israeli army and what is the "score" on average? In a recent raid they killed around forty, and demolished several buildings. Use of disproportionate force, I would say, to take care of some hoodlums, who know that the firecrackers that they call rockets would not cut it.
Sometimes I fear that some section of Hamas is probably taking instructions from Israel. For, whenever there is talk of peace and Israel is in a tight spot about the illegal settlements the "Qassam's" start raining. Now, as I have pointed out these fire-crackers are nothing more than a bad nuisance that can occasionally be dangerous. But once there are a sizable number Israel comes up with a deadly response. There is a lot of condemnation, of both sides, and the peace talks stall and we start hearing about new, illegal settlements.
You complain that after Israel withdrew, they could have concentrated on building their economy. Building with what, did Israel at least give them compensations for their lost agricultural land? Were they given opportunities to do business? Forget about all that did Israeli raids stop? None of that my friend, even on occasion charities coming from abroad were blocked. I know a lot of people complain about the Palestinians' unwillingness to get on with their lives, but will someone let them?
Israel has every right to defend its territory, but the one that everyone agrees, and of course without using disproportionate force.
Hitting and crying Palestinians indeed. The fools kick the stout stone wall, built by the US and Britain, with their bare feet and sit down crying clutching their legs. The knee-jerk supporters are just the ignoramuses who do not see it the right way, the Israeli way. Tell you what; if there are any true Israelite in Israel they are among the knee-jerk supporters of the Palestinians.

Someone please explain to me, if I came to your house and told you I was confiscating it; if I kicked you out; dumped you in Gaza, which for all intents and purposes is a barren wasteland; built walls and checkpoints so you have to check with me everytime you want to move more than a couple of feet, what would you do? Would you fight? Is that justice? After the Holocaust we all said "Never Again," never again were we going to sit by and watch while a power used its military might to murder, oppress, and destroy another group of people simply because of their race, religion, or ethnicity. But is that not what is going on right now? As the Nazi's pushed the jews out of their homes, the Isrealis push Palestinian people by building illegal settlements. As the Nazi's forced the jews into ghettos, the Isrealis push the Palestinian into refugee camps and areas like the Gaza strip where they are almost completely dependent on foreign aid to survive. As the Nazi's murdered innocent men, women, and children the Isrealis drop bombs after bombs onto Palestinian houses or they starve them. And yet the western world looks on and says nothing, despite the fact that Isreal is in violation of more international laws than I could list, the world sits by and does nothing. Instead, most western media portrays the image that the Palestinians deserve it because they are all dirty terrorists who don't want to live free, funny is it not, how closely that mirrors the Nazi's justification.

Reports and images of Palestinians from East Jerusalem and the West Bank taking to the streets in jubilation, chanting 'All??hu Akbar' (God is (the) greatest), passing along sweets in praise of Bin Laden, honking car horns, holding up the V sign for victory and holding up Palestinian flags were broadcast around the world, and most American networks aired the images. In addition, many newspapers, magazines, Web sites and wire services ran photographs of the festivities.

On the day of the attacks, The Times (British) and Fox News (American) reported that 3,000 celebrants were pouring into the streets of Nablus and dozens of people were celebrating in the traditional gesture of handing out sweets. The Times notes that in traditionally Arab East Jerusalem, there was a smaller gathering of about two dozen people.[11] FOX News adds that in Ein el-Hilweh (Lebanon), where about 75,000 Palestinians live, and also in Rashidiyeh camp south of Tyre, revelers fired weapons in the air.[12]

The Times also writes that Nawal Abdel Fatah, a Palestinian woman (age 48) wearing a long black dress, was quoted saying she was happy because "America is the head of the snake, America always stands by Israel in its war against us". Her daughter Maysoon (age 22), expressed hopes that the next attack would be against Tel Aviv.[11][13](VIDEO)

Your sources reveal your error - fox and the times backed the WMD claim in Iraq which was clearly false! They can't be trusted they are just mouthpieces for expensive lobby groups and the Pentagon.

The Jews of Germany never sent suicide bombers to German caf??s or bus stations. The Jewish leaders of Germany never called for the killing of German children. The text books in Jewish schools of Germany never called the Germans apes and monkeys or taught that spilling the blood of Germans was the highest goal for children to achieve.

The Palestinians are the Nazi's disciples. Haj Muhammed Amin al-Husseini, mufti of Jerusalem was allied to the Nazis, he recruited Muslims to fight in Nazi unites and signed a secret pact to exchange Iraqi oil for the destruction of the Jews of Palestine, with plans for a concentration camp to be built in Nablus. He was later was indicted as a war criminal but never arrested.

The Palestinians well learned that if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it. More Palestinians have been killed by Jordan. Lebanon or each other than have died because of Israel.

Te Mufti???s nephew was Mohammed Abdel-Raouf Arafat As Qudwa al-Hussaeini, better known as Yasser Arafat.

    Dear vdifr9,
I think you should be ashamed of such comments.. Such resentful comments and rememberance of the 9/11 don't help anymore.. Isreal is killing innocent people day and night.. They have contaminated the water for palestineans in order not to be able to give birth anymore... Furthermore, all the rockets and pla pla you are talking about hasn't done not even 0.0001% of the damage that Isrealis (Zionist gangs) are doing to Palestineans minute after minute... Isreal is just keeping on its violation to all human rights and UNO treaties, something that you guys can't conceal or confuse the public opinion about like many others.. all what you are doing guys is just use your ''super powers'' against children, women, old people and frustrated gunmen who were converted to be so due to your oppression and lack of humanity... All what you guys are doing is to try to blind and control the international media in order not to reveal your filthy imperialistic plan to invade and raid a whole nation in order to keep their land for yourselves...
However, nowadays I think that your plan is quite obvious for a 5 years old kid... Isreal is the worst seen 'country' on Earth according to various international quests... Jews are the most hated people everywhere eventhough no body would say so in public... You guys will be suffering the deep hatred of all the next generations and if you don't care... I think you will receive a bitter punishment from God even if you think there is nothing called God anymore...

      Dear tmrslh,

Your hatred runs deep. This is the same hatred that will never allow peace to come to the middle east. In the U.S. we live in peace, Jews live along side of Palestinians, without killing each other. As far as the U.S. trying to take over Palestine you must be joking. If we wanted to do that it would be over in hours, not days. American are not imperialists and we don't want to invade other nations. We do, however, want to crush the terrorists and should take every opportunity to do so.

      • Posted By: tmrslh @ 01/24/2008 3:24:14 AM

        Dear vdifr9,
Taking over Palestine is not definitely a big deal for Isreal. For Isreal, having nukes will undoutedly finish the whole zone in a more couple of simple hours in cold blood . Isreal is taking over the Palestinians by oppressing and forcing them to be converted into desperate people who blow themselves up in reponse to the assassination of their families and dears by isrealis. Taking over Palestine is depriving children of having their rights to go to schools even in the harshest cirumstances ever. Taking over Palestine is letting people die without giving their families the chance to watch them dying because of the lack of energy supplies. Taking over them is not necessarily killing them, it's exterminating their human soul though. I don't hate Isreal or Jews because of their being Isrealis or Jews. I'm an educated man and have decent tolerance and understanding. If I don't like them, it's because of their actions and deeds though. It's because of the injustice and the so many turns around in order to justify the unjustifiable. I understand that you jews and palestinians are living like milk and honey there in the states, it's never been about religion indeed. Do I have to remind you of the true Torah jews that are against Zionism!! It's never been about muslims and jews.. It's always been about Greed and Injustice... Judaism, Christianty and Islam are three wonderful peaceful divine religions that never ever asked us to oppress and humiliate one another... I don't hate american people, I work with them day and night as a matter of fact... If I hate something about US, it would be just the government that never has taken a reasonable action to push the peace process a step forward. All what it does is just reassuring its obedience and faith to zionits in a caring gesture to maintain its mutual interests florishing like ever. Such gesture of permissive attitude to give green lights in order to keep on raiding a weak nation. By the way, it's not something that anyone could be proud of that Isreal can take over Palestine as a matter of hours, don't forget that they are civilians and if an 'armed wing' exists among them, it just a small group and they don't use such amazing fascinating peaces to 'inciate an offesive' with fancy names.

Always funny to see a man justify genocide talk of hatred.

You seem to be making the common error of equating Jews with Israel. In the US, Jews are not stealing Palestinian land. In ISRAEL, they are.

  • Posted By: pinchasso1 @ 01/24/2008 2:39:19 AM

Why don't the Gazans just get all of their electricity and supplies from their Arab brothers in Egypt.? Guess Egypt would rather the Jews foot the bill.

    • Posted By: Aldous21 @ 01/24/2008 3:04:19 AM

Same reason Mexicans don't get to travel to their Christian brothers in the United States. I guess Americans just want to keep thier wealth to themselves.

This is the problem, Israelis and the West see Arabs, in particular the Palestinians, as "backward". So many times have I read such comments on forums similar to this one. In the early 1900's, the zionists had this ludicrous point of view and therefore justified their invasion of Palestine. Brit-Shalom Ihud, a member of the Jewish Agency even stated that: "If I weigh the catstrophe of five million Jews (in Nazi Germany) against the transfer of one million Arabs, then with a clean and easy conscience I can state that even more drastic acts (in Palestine) are Permissible".

The Israelis narcissistic attitude and self worth is becoming more and more evident in their continuous efforts to drive Palestinians out of their homes. I suspect that their intentions were to drive Palestinians into the Sinai by sealing them off from all supplies. The Hamas rockets are of an insignificant number when in contrast to the "terror" that Israel has set into many innocent Palestinians.

Finney29 is right, too many Westerners buy into Israeli propoganda through the outrageously biassed material found in Western media. More images of Palestinian suffering need to be seen in Europe and the states, perhaps if a handful of you watch Al Jazeera, you may find that the Arabs are not terrorist dogs and are entitled to live as "freely" as yourselves.

To Notals: But the Jews did something that made a majority of Germans their enemies! Hitler alone could not have done much against the Jews. There was something that happened, was it the recession? Who were the biggest industrialists of that country that could have caused the recession? I could have told you to go read the history, but the trouble is that history has the bad habit of getting written by the victor.
So, Yasser Arafat's uncle was a Jew hater. Why should he want ill of the Jews? Could it be that he foresaw what they were planning? Why he was not arrested? Could it be that he was falsely accused, by the Jews, of collaboration with the Germans, but there was no real proof?
I agree that there is a lot of hatred for the Jews among the Palestinians, so much so that it seems un-Islamic, but tell me if your relatives are killed, if you are driven out of your land and if doors are being closed on you from every side for being homeless and stateless, how will you feel? On top of that they are living like chicken in a poultry farm, every now and then the Israeli army comes up and picks off, a few that seem to make more noise. The picking off does not happen with a shot gun, nor with a rifle, but with missiles and a few houses also get demolished and some innocent folks get killed; their relative becoming new recruits for the Jew hating army!
I do sympathize with the Jews, but they have got themselves in a pickle by depending too much on force and by ignoring the voice of their moderates. Now it is time for them to do tshuvah, one meaning of which is repenting. If there are any true descendants of Jacob left among the Jews of Israel, their prayers will be answered with ???do what is right, do what is just???. I promise you that.

    vdifr9:

I am certain that if the Palestinians had american-made F-16s, american-made missiles and american-made smart bombs they would stop targeting civilians and hit the Israeli Army instead. As it is, there are NO Army bases in range of the home-made rockets, just the illegal settlements.

Also, there were less than a hundred Palestinians "dancing and rejoicing" on 9/11. It happened on a SINGLE city for a FEW HOURS. If you weren't so full of Zionist Propaganda, you would check your sources first.

    • Posted By: vdifr9 @ 01/24/2008 2:42:35 AM

      Aldous21,
I was home watching the dancing and celebrating on TV with my own eyes. You can lie about, you can wish it weren't true, but the Palestinians danced in the streets while were were trying to recover the bodies of our loved ones, were calling to see if our relatives were dead or alive. Its documented for the world to see and we should never forget.

    • Posted By: vdifr9 @ 01/24/2008 2:22:58 AM

The U.N. gave the land to Israel after World War II, not the U.S. or England. In any case, time after time Israel gives in to concessions and works toward peace. Again and again, the Palestinians fail to keep the peace and use terrorism for their political gain. Some day the U.S. may not be able to hold back Israel from a massive attack against the Palestinians because they are fed up with living with terrorists threating their peace and ability to live a normal life. I for one am fed up and say let Israel do what it must do to protect itseld and its citizens.

      • Posted By: Aldous21 @ 01/24/2008 2:42:29 AM

Nope. The land was to be divided 60/40 between the Jews and Arabs. The Arabs objected to the uneven split and refused to accept the 40%. Hence only Israel was created.

Since then, the Israelis have never stopped expanding settlements and confiscating Palestinian land. Those "concessions" you brag about are just Israel offering to give back property they stole. Some concession!

Gaza and all of the Ocupied lands since '67 are a humanitarian crisis. I wish I knew the answer. What I still wonder is how Israel could build a wall between Gaza and Egypt without Egypt kicking them around for it. Frankly, if I were Mubarak my tanks would have backed over that wall long before now. How an Arab nation can stand by and watch the starvation of Arab people is beyond me.
And good man r8118s, Israel is not our colony. I am beginning to wonder why we hand billions out in this whole region like it was our problem. Maybe it is the blackmail of nuclear weapons? I can see President after President being told by Israel that if X or Y isn't done, they will have to use their weapons, etc. That is why Bush is so manic over Iran, Israeli pressure on one side and his Oil buddy Cheney on the other.

    >> ...in response to intensifying rocket fire from Gaza...

This is what I don't understand: an entire article with only one sentence that addresses the true source of the unrest: terrorism. Why are the Gazans not held accountable for their actions? Why is the focus on how the Israeli's respond and not the actions that provoked the response in the first place?

My common sense tells me that if the Gazans stop shooting rockets at their neighbors then their neighbors will leave them alone. The Israelis pulled out of Gaza a few years ago, so I don't understand why the Gazans continue to provoke them.
