Reeree- Nope. The most strategic and tactical way of genociding a race, culture, religion is to just go do it. Peacefull? Are you kidding? I have been to many different "Muslim" countries. Peaceful is the last word I would used to describe most of them. Interesting, deep culture, powerfully religious, beautiful, chaotic, etc. But never peacefull. Naver: you are right about one thing - "it has to do with the leaders wanting to keep and expand power and authority in their fifdoms." But i think you refer to the wrong people - it is the US and Israeli leaders that are willing to sacrifice the lives of an unending line of innocent civillians to maintain control of the precious fiefdoms. If you support Israel or the US, you support genocide and international war crimes - read the geneva conventions on war crimes and some reasonably unbiased history before you weigh in to a topic you understand so little about.

Oh and as far as the "PR" thing. Well when you intentionally put your missle launchers into houses with "civilians" knowing that Isreal has a system that automatically backtracks where the rocket/missle came from and that the house or building is going to take retun fire almost automatically. All of the schools and hospitals that are in Palestine were built with either Palestinian money from exiled Palestinians or a combination of that money and Arab money. I was a journalist before I was forced out of Palestine and I never saw these donations that you claim to have been spent on us. F or more than fifty years the genorous people of the U.S.A. have been giving food, medicine and financial aid to the Palestinians and hoping that they can end their bloody cycle of violence. The americans have supplied the Palestians with schools and hospitals and better sanitation only to see them wasted on a people who consider these gifts as an obligation to the poor long suffering victims of america's ally Israel. Let's face it, in reality, the Jews have a far greater influence on the world than any Arab in this day and age. Look at Reuteurs, one of the most powerful news wires in the world. Who owns it? Rupert Murdoch. What religion is he? Jewish. One of the most influential film directors who created the film Schindlers list. Who? Steven Spielberg. Religion? Jewish. From my eveyday life as a regular 23 year old girl, I am in constant reminder of the Jewish faith. I watch Sex and the City, Friends and The Simpsons and they all make reference to the Judaism but never, or extremely rarely, do they mention Islam. I'm not claiming to be a great intellect, a scientist or a historian. I'm just a regular British girl, but from the way I see it, it's practically brainwashing us that the Islamic faith does not exist or is not worth of mentioning. Even Seinfeld is Jewish!

My point being, as a Westerner, I can not escape the Jewish faith and their influence, however I can be totally ignorant of Islam and the Arab world. And when they are portrayed in say Hollywood Blockbusters or on the television, they tend to be the "dogs" or "the baddies" of the storyline. And you can quit with all the "Arabs don't make good movies" as I beg to differ. I have seen some raw Arab talent viewing their opinions and struggles in the form of a movie. Have any of them ever been comissioned in Hollywood? No. Why not? I'd love anyone to list 5 Arab or Muslim celebrities outside of the Middle East. I'd be surprised if you could but even then I could write a list 10 times as long with influential Jewish celebrities. I'm not a massive Michael Moore fan, but luckily he showed the other side of the coin to the world for a mere 90 minutes and if that one average Joe questions the 90 minutes of film he's just seen, then that's an accomplishment.

The people voted for Hamas because the PA did not deliver many of its promises of freedom from the occupation. The PA failed because the israeli government does not want a Palestinian state. We are not give up anything and we don't care if the west in not willing to do anything. The Arab and Muslim worlds are going through a rough time now, but that will not last. No one stays weak forever and change constantly happens and the scale will eventually tip in our favor. No western weapon will be able to stop us from freeing our land.

hamsa, you are obviously unaware of the fact that the israeli government does not want a Palestinian state and all that it's willing to accept is Palestinian cantons or properly put, ghettos. Why should we accept that and allow foreigners to live on our lands and in our homes while we live in ghettos? Since Hamas, a radical Islamist military entity, was elected by the people, I think it is safe to assume the majority of Palestinians support their ideals. So, what freedoms do radical Islamist Palestinians want? Not the freedom of expression, seeing as male and female dress is rigorously limited. Not freedom of speech or the press as anything seen as Un-Islamic is routinely punished. Definitely not freedom of religion. I don't think any examples are needed here. The right to bear arms already seems to exist. Don't get me wrong, I think a Palestinian state should happen and Isreal is at least 50% to blame for the deteriorated situation in the middle east. But lets not fool ourselves. They do not want freedom as we know it. That is why the U.S.A. or any other country with a contemporary definition of freedom has no business trying to "give freedom to the Palestinians". The only freedom that the Hamas government and their sympathizers want is freedom to enforce Sharia law on their people, spread their ideaology of oppression across the globe, and destroy Israel. And as far as Israel goes, it is time to s**t or get off the pot. Grant the Palestinians a secure state with coastal access, evict them out of what you consider to be Israel, or just kill them all. But please, stop dragging out the inevitable. And to the Palestinians, give up Jerusalem as the capitol, it is not going to happen. To be perfectly honest, as long as the West is not too affected by the conflict, most people on this side of the globe are perfectly content to watch Jews and Arabs kill each other. It just means there are less of them to reproduce and make future generations of fighters. And with America's "stick your nose is everyone elses business foreign policy", that just means there will be less of you to fight eventually. Let's hope everyone can figure out how to get along or how to blow each other into oblivion.
