I find it curious that many of the comments here appear to have been made by people who clearly didn't read (or understand) the article.

It's about the perception of intelligence. Men are PERCIEVED by themselves, as well as most females, to be the more intelligent. It stated several times that males and females are generally equal.

Men have bigger egos. Is that a suprise to anyone??

I believe there is much more drama here about the title of this article, than the body of the article.

There is a lot of mob like mentality going on here. When men are with men they disrespect talk about women and women do the same thing. But when comes down to one on one and there is a bond between them all this matter of who is perceived smarter goes right out the window. This game of Domination is silly yet it has been going on for centuries.

This article was a woman's opinion, I would like to see the facts. I bet she only manipulated the data she found relevant. I know plenty of woman who think they're brilliant, whom are not. Lets see more data and less speculation.

I always though that we have the same intelligence, but I think historically the idea that men are smarter it has been so convenient for them, is a way to keep the women behind, so they can take the decisions and have more control of the world, the real problem here is when we let them do it because we believe it, now we need to start teaching our daughters that they have the potential to do anything they want, to teach them to have self-esteem.

OMG this is so dumb.. and all these studies and articles that aim to demoralizing the male gender is just getting old. Women are smart and men are smart. Ok? We both have to be in order for our children to survive this complicated and dangerous world. That is the true human condition. Women generally are smarter at some things, and men are smarter at others. You see it in daily life. So what. But keep in mind that not everyone fits into a perfect mold, it's all very fuzzy with many generalities, therefore we should always keep an open mind and be flexible with our perceptions on gender and even race. Gender strengths exist for a reason, and are important to the survive of race and culture. We come together to compliment our stengths and weekness. In other words men and women need each other. It is a team effort. That is how human nature works best. So lets just stop this silly crap. The writer of this article obvously (and probably the editor too) has issues and biases toward men. She is probably a divorced lonely career woman with a big feminist ego. It's really her problem. Moving on.

Look people..Men are in no way smarter or BETTER than a woman... Men have had more opportunity than women and therefore have had a hell of alot more success. One can hardly say you are better than someone else when the other hasn't had the same opportunity than you. It's like you saying your faster than someone because you beat them in a race when in reality you've had a head start all along.. As an Africna American I have had several discussions about gender and race..etc and how they affect us within society. And stating that men are smarter than women because they have done more is the equivelent of saying that white people are better or smarter than black people because they have done more and have ruled for so long.( I wouldn't be suprised if half the idiots here actually thought THAT). Lets cute the bullshit and be honest here ok... The world is run by men and men think that due to their Physical strength they are better than women...well let me put it this way.. I really don't give a *** about how much you can lift or how fast you can run... ( Because that in my opinion does not warrant respect.)..Rather show me how much you can TAKE....and excuse me but it seems to me that women deal with A HELL of alot more than men do on a regular basis....For all the Ego and Bravado that men put it would appear that it is more due to a LACK of confidence because anytime you have to put another down to make you feel better about yourself that speaks volumes and throughout history that is EXACTLY what men have done... And seriously WOMEN bash MEN?...lmao give me a break ..the last time I remember it was women in parts of the world that were being treated as second class citizens and living in conditions to that of slavery by the hands of MEN (or am I wrong?...I think Not)... tell me the last time you've heard about a woman doing the same to a man...The Point of THIS????? Here's the point men think they arebetter due to physical strength...that IS the only reason and it has ALWAYS been the only reason....noone is better than the other MENTALLY.
