I enjoyed reading the article but no where found a base of showing smartness or pretending to be clever and having male ego could really affect evaluating IQ. Intelligence is soley inherent which can be polished to ascend a certain level rather can be brought in by any conscious effort. Many consider intelligence as intangible possession of any human being. Taking this tangibility facet into account, I do not think, a person can get something right even if he is not aware of. If he is getting it right then it is that person intutive ability which counts. And somehow being intutive adds value of being intelligent. This concludes if a man scoring more in IQ on the basis of intution then you have to agree that he is more intelligent.
Second point is about clubbing confidence with Intelligence. I hope this comes in package. Confidence is an integral part of intelligent. On the contrary, an intelligent person is always confident because it is not abysmal. Knowing things not necessarily makes a person intelligent. Its a person`s intellctual essence along with intution, confidence level, being analytical, way of approaching things make a person intelligent.
Man might behave as if they are more smarter but then by doing this he is not showing off rather adding values os being intelligent.
