He's Not as Smart as He Thinks

I enjoyed reading the article but no where found a base of showing smartness or pretending to be clever and having male ego could really affect evaluating IQ. Intelligence is soley inherent which can be polished to ascend a certain level rather can be brought in by any conscious effort.Many consider intelligence as intangible possession of any human being. Taking this tangibility facet into account, I do not think, a person can get something right even if he is not aware of. If he is getting it right then it is that person intutive ability which counts. And somehow being intutive adds value of being intelligent. This concludes if a man scoring more in IQ on the basis of intution then you have to agree that he is more intelligent.
Second point is about clubbing confidence with Intelligence. I hope this comes in package. Confidence is an integral part of intelligent. On the contrary, an intelligent person is always confident because it is not abysmal. Knowing things not necessarily makes a person intelligent. Its a person`s intellctual essence along with intution,confidence level, being analytical, way of approaching things make a person intelligent.
Man might behave as if they are more smarter but then by doing this he is not showing off rather adding values os being intelligent.

Well, guess you guys have yet figure out the equation? The reason why women underplay their intelligence, is so that men get to do more work. Myself, being a 21 year-old male, would like to take this moment to stroke my considerable ego. I am double majoring in mechanical engineering and international business with a minor in chinese. However, the only way I have been able to make progress in my education while running a successful manufacturing firm is through the unbelievably patient support and understanding of a wonderful woman (that I go to for all varieties of advice). People can be so petty; I have no intention to pontificate to an entire gender. What purpose does it serve?

"Men with average to below-average intelligence think that they are quite clever. And very smart women think their intelligence is low." I thought this was funny. It reminds me of a roommate that I once had. His story can be told briefly; lots and lots of drugs for many, many years. He had been clean (excluding alcohol and marijuana) for two years when I roomed with him. The drugs had effected him. He spoke at one volume-- Loud, very loud. He really enjoyed bragging about his cleverness, but unfortunately, we see in a mirror dimly (1 Corinthians 13:12). Another roommate of mine (a double engineering major from Colombia) is an avid Cosmo reader. He said that the things women read about speaks volumes about social affluence.

Anyway, to address two issues: I would like to know how genetic disposition relates to intelligence. I sense a correlation to hunter gatherer roles. I think this correlation has more to do with sociocentric ideology and less to do with intelligence. However, I think social conditions have a lot to do with the development of the mind. I have heard birds of a feather flock together; does this mean anything in context of the first quote cited? Very thought provoking, maybe someone has some female perspective to share?

Hi I read the british researchers conclusion of the survey they made, my question is , can they please actually put all the anonymous data they collected and then how they came across the conclusion ( i mean what algoritm or the logic they applied) to arrive at the conclusion. Finally "mind sees what it wants to see" and hence different people can interpret the data differently correct interpretation should be proved not just accepted.

I think everyone..... men and woman equally are very smart..... in their own ways. I think we balance each other out and one could not survive without the other.... I think a lot of woman are more in touch with their emotions and are better able to freely express those and help men to be able to do the same and I think men have a lot of qualities to help us woman better ourselves. I really dont think there is a smarter sex.... I have met some men and woman who have equally in my opinion been a waste of life and breathe for their stupidity their ambtion their motivation their drive to suceed and better themselves and its sad..... I think everyone should want life period to be as full and MAKE it exactly how they want it to be instead of making excuses for the why they cant do something..... I came from the gutter and personally I have strived everyday to become a better woman reguardless of anything.... I have made stupid decisons and have learned from them and have met people who I cant understand the way they choose to live their life in stupidity...... wow this became quite long huh?? lol.... Honestly, your dick doesn't give you any extra brain cells. And to the little knob who wrote about how women were so unsuccesful throughout the years 'even though they were given the chance' to be a part of politics in Egypt and rule England etc. Give me a break. Might I remind you that women had been taught far less than men. And I mean that as in how girls were never sent to school for the same subjects as boys. Am I not right? And should I also point out that girls were only taught to sew, cook and clean?
And yes, Queen Elizabeth may have had the power to change this, but then again she didn't. Do you know why?
