Prescription drugs seem more deadly than illegal drugs. Drs should educate patients on their use whether the patients are celebrities or not. Since the prescriptions were not written in the US, perhaps their are other policies in other countries. It seems similar problems happened to Elvis and Judy Garland.

I think it's bull how that church is planning to picket and protest at his funeral. That should not be allowed under any circumstance. They call themselves Christians but they certainly are not.

I am so sad.Another big actor died so young.Heath seemed to be sensitive.I hope the best for his family and for everyone else who faced the death of a young person in his close family.

What a waste of a perfectly good person.

My wonderful talented daughter had three very close calls last year. She was prescribed anti-depressants and ambien because she was unable to sleep. She also drinks when one drinks and takes a anti-depressant it takes you to a very very low place. All she wanted to do was go to sleep when one didn't work more were taken. Thank God each time she was found in time twice she was almost gone. She is now off
the antidepressants and the ambien and doing much better. Ambien can cause one to forget everything but as her mother I remember each and every moment. My prayers go out to the family hopefully someone else can be saved because of this tragedy.

Health Ledger? If it is your job to cover this unfortunate story, then it's also your job to show some respect and do it right.

May Heath Ledger rest in peace, he will be missed. Heath was a fantastic actor, I still can't believe he's gone. A life taken away so young. I send my condolences to his family. Our prayers are with you. RIP Heath Ledger.

I find it so sad that we have to swarm all over this story with our speculations and accusations. I wish our society would be a little more patient and wait for all tests to be done, then KNOW what happened instead of dragging him through the mud unnecessarily. Just like when Anna Nicole died. It was horrible to hear all the hype not knowing the truth. With Heath, he has a family and loved ones, Please walk in their shoes and make it so the press has def ears for all their "what if's" and that way they will move on to more important stories. May he rest in peace and may his family be allowed to grieve without everyone prying.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Ledger Family. To have someone so young taken from you, no matter the reason for the death. Now his daughter will have to grow up not really knowing her father and his wife will have to find stength in herself and in God to get through this. God Bless you all.

Anybody can make a mistake, it's just unfortunate that this one may have costed him his life. Alot of this is media trying to make it more than what it is. He was having problems with sleeping and he had pneumonia; sometimes if not told the correct facts about mixing prescriptions something this unfortunate can happen. He should be remembered for his amazing actor portrayals and missed because we will never know what could have been for this great actor.

I have to agree with lisab21. Leave it the hell alone. He is a person, how would you feel if it was your family member and they were accusing them of being an addict. Hell, the press makes up a lot of crap, so don't believe everything you hear or read! It is their job to make it sound worse than it is. The Heath's family and friends alone and allow them to deal with their loss! Damn it - what if it was you! STOP IT! This is hurting his family more! You people are unconsiderate!

I have watched adn read all that has been printed about this young, talented man. He was a father first, I think, as the way he felt about his daughter showed on his face when they were together. Finding out the casue of death is important to his family for the closure however, raking him over the coals prior to the determination of the cause of death is insensitive and frankly rude. Until facts are confirmed it is only speculation and to speculate that he was an addict is insensitive and destructive to his family and friends not to mention his daughter. She will read what all have written remember the internet people you will not get away from it. So think long and hard when you do write about this young talented man who lost his life tragically to soon.

R.I.P. Mr. Ledger. Your talents brought us many laughter and tears and you will be greatly missed. Having had trouble sleeping in the past and relying on medication in order to get regular sleep i sympathize with his difficulties and associate with the strain it takes on a person physically and mentally when not able to get quality sleep. This is a sad story that will maybe help others with similar issues take heed.
