I like what I have just read "WE ARE NOT ANIMALS" and this is true. We are creatures of Divine creation and must learn that now is the time to begin to look at all affected by the problems that comes our way with open eyes. WE ARE ALL AFFECTED DAILY. It is time for use to beging to rely on our Divine Creator, Our Divinve Mercy, and the Dinive Comforter to bring us that we are our bothers keeper and that NO Greater Love has Any Man or Woman than to lay down thier lives for another. The world is full of AFFECTED LIVES, and since we all are created by the same Divine Creator let us learn not to brand someone who hurts but to stop and think about how we can respond properly without judgement, and with the knowledge that we are LOVED and must LOVE back the way taught to us from the Divine Source Our Creator, Our Divine Mercy, and the Divine Comforter.
May Heath's daughter remembered, as well as all of us who loved him for him and his willingnes to use a given talent to cause us to understanding and LOVE. I will miss the fellow as we all will, and let us embrace Heath's daughter in Love and Prayer.

This really bothers me that for the past few days Heath Ledger's photo has been plastered all over the internet and the television. Soldiers that are fighting for us and our country die every week, yet they remain faceless. You do not see their pictures plastered everywhere you look. What was Heath Ledger, nothing but an actor. What did he give back to society, nothing. Atleast our soldiers have died for a reason, they are the true LEGENDS!!!!

I had a cousin who died from taking a pain med and drinking a couple of beers.. He went to a company
party while on pain med and sat down and died at the bar during the party. People thought that he was drunk and did not discover him dead until the party broke up............

I agree with this article! I think he was sick from going a million miles an hour shooting his film in London and he couldn't breath from his illness and was tired, he just wanted some relief and sleep! The drugs could be more effective if he had an empty stomache too. I should be dead myself if this truly the reason his heart stopped, because I also have sleeping problems and anxiety and take medication for it. I pray that his family can endure this pain and loss and always remember the good times. He was a rising star and he was so humble and sincere with whatever he was doing. It's hard to find an actor that is very true to themselves, but he was the exception. I'll miss him!

Zopiclone, Diazepam, Lormetazepam, Temazepam, Alprazolam and Donormyl-doxylamine. Zopiclone is Lunesta, which is similar to benzodiazapines (drugs that end in pam are generally benzodiazepines). The last one is an antihistamine. Seems a benadryl would have worked alot better and been cheaper. Even better melatonin to sleep and pseudofed for congestion. The FDA accepts payment to fast track drug approvals and perfectly good old drugs aren't used anymore so pharma profits. Better yet. a puff of pot. Nobody has OD'd on that. We are all complicit.

I agree that no matter how he died it is still tragic. However, the fact that he was a talented actor and georgous doesn't make it any more tragic of an event.

I didnt know Heath or really anything about him on a personal level however, I feel terrible about his death. He was a very talented actor that took risks and didnt mind stepping outside the box. Considering the words spoken by friends, family, and fellow actors you will be missed and thought of often. From the perspective of the outside world you will always be the actor that could and would have gone on to do wonderful films. Rest in peace.

A person's sleep habits are a fragile thing. I would imagine that if I'd had as busy a life as a person in the public eye, and needed to resort to medications to put me to sleep and wake me up, that I would at some point lose track of when I took my last pill and possibly make a mistake and consume too large a dose. The world seems to be on a fast track, but we need to remember to take proper care of our bodies and minds.

I think what is going on is horrible. I agree with lindseyb... imagine what it will be like for little Matilda when she is old enough to understand the attention surrounding her father's death. When someone passes, especially at such a young age, their family needs to grieve. What the media is doing, (suggesting sucide, illegal drug and so on) is making it impossible for Heath's family and friends to mourn the loss of a great person and to celebrate his life. I am a huge fan of Heath and his work. He will be greatly missed by myself and many others in the world. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this sad time.

Heath was and always will be a legend. I for one will miss all the movies he could have made. I will cherish the ones he did.
My thoughts are with his daughter and family right now. Rest in peace Heath.

It is so unfortunate that Heath is dead, but this should be an example to more people that anti-anxiety medications are extremely dangerous if taken incorrectly. I know the cause of death is not concrete yet, but average-every-day-individuals die from mixing medications such as anti-anxiety and sleeping pills. We never hear about all the deaths, unless they are "famous" people, so its about time the public takes an active interest in the dangers of medications. It is time to educate - and if "mixing" is indeed what caused this tragic death, then we have a responsibility to learn from this so it wasn't in vain. Perhaps Heath's untimely death can save other lives.

I know someone that is taking ALL KINDS of ' prescibed meds", and to me, it is frightening....This man takes Rozerem, Zyprexa, Depakote, and also takes Levothyroxine ( a Thyroid med)...he previously took Diazepam. and also Ambiem. On top of this he has a "cocktail'...namely Crown Royal and Coke, he drinks this during the process of taking the Zyprexa. I do not understand how this can be allowed, to prescribe all these medications, rather than really get to the bottom of a health issue. Western medicine's treatment , is , of course tied to the $$ and that is one reason why they WANT to keep people on these prescriptions...if we were well, as a whole, they would most likely be out of business !! This is sad, and a contradiction to the way we are being told to "take care of your health" and things like that. It really bothers me to know that the bottom line ( the $$) is far important than a person losing their life over taking all these medications, and to know that Doctors ( and Nurses, as in the case of the man mentioned above ) can prescribe all this stuff, and not really KNOW what it is doing to that person, because they do not LIVE with that individual, and are not the ones having to deal with behaviors created by some of these medications!! A NURSE, that is allowed to prescribe meds, just because she has a bunch of ' Initials' after her name , is cause for concern , in my book......there is no regard for any other method of treating someone..." Let me prescribe this for you , so you can be better" is the name of the game...........

Marijuana was America???s number-one analgesic for 60 years before the rediscovery of aspirin around 1900. From 1842 to 1900, cannabis made up half of all medicine sold, with virtually no fear of its high.
