My heart goes out to Heath's family! His was a life that has touched millions, and his star will no longer be able to brighten the lives of all those he did. My prayers go out to anyone feeling his loss. His loss is a great sorry that we all will collectively bear. God bless Heath. God bless us all.

I think we need to stop speculating about what happened inside heath's apartment. This is a private family matter and his family needs to grieve without having everyone making acusations that he committed suicide. As a famous person of course we are all intrigued to know what happened, but really folks, we should wait for an official statement. The media has absolutely no compassion for Heath Ledger and his family during this tragic loss. They specifically requested that there be no speculation and look there is anyway from suicide to accidental overdose to substance abuse to depression. How sad that when Ledgers daughter is older and she watches the reports surrounding her fathers death thats what she's going to see. Let the family grieve privately like they asked, and have some respect!

i agree with waun 100% people die every day whether you are poor, rich, famous or simply a "nobody" and i don't think what he said was disrespectful. would everyone react the same way to a 18 year old kid that died in a car accident somewhere in pennsylvania? no....so...again...people die everyday from natural causes, accidents, homicides.....so R.I.P to all those who have lost their lives..my condolences to their families...and thats just the way it is....life goes on

I am so very appreciative that someone else (Fred Larkin on 1/24/08) saw the way the NYC authorities treated Heath's body as it was being wheeled out of the apt. I can't bring myself to watch it after seeing it once. Is there NO regard for human remains anymore? He was treated like a sack of potatoes and as a Brooklyn born natice, I am ashamed.

heath ledger is an amazing man that caught my eye in every movie he made not just because he was what the world of women called "hot" but because he had carisma on and off the set i wish i could have met him before he died its tragic and heart felt because although you and i didnt know him on a personal level he became a part of our live homes and he was an inspiration. He became a part of my heart when he entered my house on tv. if thats not the best contribution and making a difference i dont know what would be?
After i saw this case, i started thinking about my own case and I really got scare.
I am taking pain killers i just srarted with methadone but i the same time I am taking sleep pills and antidepresses and I have to take another pill to wake up. I wandering if he was just following the doctor's order. If that was the case I don not think thadoctors will say it, but please this can be a wake up call for evrery body and relly check what the doctors are doing with our bodies.
You're damn right, blame the FDA. Can you imagine the outcry if Heath Ledger's body was found next to a pile of Chinese herbs? The media outcry would be deafening, and nearly everyone would leap to the conclusion that the herbs must have killed Ledger. But when Ledger's body is found next to bottles of FDA-approved pharmaceuticals, there's hardly even a whisper about the deadly side effects of such pharmaceuticals (and the likelihood that Ledger was, indeed, killed by FDA-approved medicines).
Even if he did die of drugs that were approved by the FDA, you can almost guarentee that he didnt recieve them leagally. Depending on if this was accidental or on purpose, If he had been under a doctors care, then he might not have mixed them causing his death. Its a shame that he won't be able to watch his daughter grow, and his daughter will have to go on without her dad. He is a talented actor, and could have continued to entertain us all. I will miss seeing his work. Its a shame whenever someone goes before they have lived their life to the fullest.

After I saw what happened with this great actor, I started thinking how many people is taking medicine under doctors supervision and we do not know what can happen. I said that because I am taking pain drugs antydepresses sleeping pills and wake up pills, after this case i relly going to check with my Doctor how much this drugs are cutting my live.
