Disgraceful article. Ron Paul is mentioned ONCE, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay at the end, and HIS name is not in searchable blue type!1

Newsweek, you suck as bad as the rest.

Glad to see that finally (March 25, 2008) you gave the man some serious coverage.

I for one will WRITE-IN RON PAUL's NAME on my ballot in November.

He is the only one with any principles or any real courage. The rest are wannabe moviestars.

After all the toro poop I believe a small amount of levity is in order. While watching political candidates on television, my eight year old grandson asked for an explanation. My first reaction was to go into mechanics of politics but after seeing his innocent semblance, decided an analogy was in order. Hoping to circumvent his attention span I chose the circus. I purposely used words alien to him in order to augment his curiosity. The text however lacks form of speech and pauses considered necessary when attempting to communicate with a third-grader. The discourse was as follows.

Think of it as a circus that comes to town every four years, a spectacle anxiously awaited by citizens of every state, city and town in the United States of America.
The circus is unusual in the sense it displays two animals, an elephant, a donkey and a unique troupe anxious to entertain the masses. The animals are icons for the clique or party each group represents. The show begins when the ringmaster, known as the media, announces the names of participants, be they Republican elephants or Democratic donkeys.
Although lacking high wire stunts and normal apparatus seen in a standard circus, the performers, known as candidates, give the impression they???re doing a balancing act with statements sometimes difficult to comprehend. There are no clowns with costumes or painted faces only candidates performing with expensive garb and makeup designed to thwart something called High Definition. Another interesting presentation is the debates between performers. The verbal interaction is sometimes comical. As the campaign ensues the rhetoric becomes more intense, a truly impressive event to witness.
To add further excitement, a woman and an Afro-American became part of the main attraction. Another event worth mentioning is when members of each group turn against each other. The traditional spectacle is necessary to select the best person to lead each clique. The circus travels throughout the U.S. with elephants and donkeys seeking acceptance from the public. Most get discouraged and drop out. After this the elephant and donkey groups meet in separate enclosures where they convene to select combatants for the main event. The grand and final spectacle occurs when everyone gets together to vote in November. After the votes are counted the media gets to announce the next President of the United States.
What???s that grandson, what animal do I prefer to ride? A donkey of course, elephants tend to weave from left to right and confuse people.

I agree with vanessa, huckabee i think is a great candidate mainly for his ablility to understand people that may have viewpoints that differ from his, he made that clear at the debate when he declared that more than half the nation i.e. 'non- republicans' is comprised of pimps, prostitutes, and gangmembers. He appararently has a really good feel about how those of not of the republican evangelical persuasion like to spend our time.

    • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 9:43:57 PM

Do you mean that Huckabee is good at dodging comments about positions he doesn't agree with. He is definitely the candidate that is best at changing the subject when it is something he doesn't want to talk about.

      • Posted By: bigbrewhaha @ 01/28/2008 1:02:10 PM

sarcasm bryce...., huckabee is a joke.

Are you a Democrat, Republican or an American?? Think about it, our voting system is broken and as a free America, we should stand up and change the voting system. I know, I know that sounds crazy but why can't we just have all candidates lay out their plans in righting, provide them in a public forum, then let us vote. All the parties are talking about how they are going to change Washington and stop all the spending, yet they are spending MILLIONS in just these few weeks. In the era of the internet, with each candidate stating their position and allowing us to research topics on our own, there is really no expense to that at all. If the candidates still want to spend MILLIONS to make them look good, how about they donate that money to the needy or some other good cause. After all, wouldn't that make them look just as good, while helping others. At this point, since the money is all wasted, let's elect the candidate that will be willing to listen to the public, rather than only having interest in implementing their perfect plans. If someone was really willing to listen to the Americans, we might have a chance to really make change, not just say it on expensive television ads...........

So are you trying to tell me that you don't look at their charisma as a speaker or how they handle themselves when they are attacked. You just want to read a bunch of bull crap on a peice of paper then choose. The common people don't even understand all the political talk and would not understand everything if they read it. They vote on the character of the person and how that person is able to get their message across. Plus half of John McCain's web site is so confusing i got a headache trying to figure out what his actual positions were. I hear him say something in a debate, then his website position is way different. We need to hear a future president present his positions by his voice so we can see how he will rally the american people and be able to stand up to the people in the world that would have the U.S. destroyed.

  • Posted By: markhmercer @ 01/26/2008 3:56:21 PM

ridicules...... let me get this right..... u want candidates to mud sling? Holly Bailey your a joke

  • Posted By: vanessamcbain @ 01/26/2008 3:06:36 PM

If you take the time to study the facts, you will see that Huckabee is the only candidate, on either side, that has a clean record and has already made a great difference in AR. Unfortunately, most only get involved enough to listen to the media. I personally don't want anyone to think for me or direct me to vote in the direction of their party. I will take responsibility to vte for the best candidate and I wish others would take the time to do the same befoe we are in a communist situation. Think about it. Do you want to pay a fine or go to jail if you elect to not purchase insurance? Do you REALLY want your young girls to have the right to make a grown up desicision to kill their child, when they are not old enough to even know what that means. Come on, let's use our common sense and humility.

IT IS SO CLEAR WHY ANY REPUBLICAN (OTHER THAN R PAUL) DESERVES TO BE THE LEADER OF THE USA. THEY ARE QUALIFIED, EXPERIANCED, RESPECTABLE, AND MATURE. OH, YES, MATURE IS UNDER-RATED. THEY ARE CONSISTANT AND DESISIVE. THEY WILL CRUSH ANY DEMOCRAT. TOO OBVIOUS FOR WORDS!

    • Posted By: ConcernedForAmerica @ 01/25/2008 4:23:18 PM

What planet are you from? Here on earth, any Republican candidate OTHER than Ron Paul would lose (and lose badly) against Hillary or Obama. Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican candidate that stands a chance, as MANY people want to bring the troops home, not send more, and certainly don't want to keep them there for a hundred years, unlike McCain.

      • Posted By: mother of 3 @ 01/26/2008 12:57:21 PM

Just food for thought: Mike Huckabee is the only Republican candidate in this primary that has run against the Clintons in Arkansas. By the way, he beat them 4 TIMES!

  • Posted By: mother of 3 @ 01/25/2008 9:02:07 AM

This is the second comment I posted on this article. The first was taken out after being up only a couple of hours - maybe it stepped on too many toes? The basic thought of my previous posting was how tragic for the GOP that 2 of the 5 candidates had drastically more airtime than the other 3. And those 2 gave even more free advertising to the democrats than to the republicans. How is it that our liberal media expected someone to "stand out from the fray". When the types of questions being posed had been covered over and over again in previous debates? There are fundamental differences between America's 2 major political parties, but our liberal media is trying to spoonfeed Americans into which candidate to vote for. For instance, why should the GOP candidates "be able to get out of their position on Iraq before November?" Ridiculous! Just because their viewpoints don't coincide with MSNBC and their affiliates doesn't mean that most Americans want us to finish what we've started over there, respect the lives that have been sacrificed and push for a victory. The best debate of the year was the YouTube debate where Americans asked their own questions to the candidates. It was actually something worth watching. We need to hear more from candidates like Paul and Huckabee! I encourage every responsible voting American to check out each candidates' website. Please don't rely on the our media to give you the answers!

Mike Huckabee is a FAKE! He is a backstabber and hypocrite! What kind of man is he to point out his own class envy on Mitt Romney who has worked his butt off for everything he has. He is not presidential, or credible. He needs to go back to Arkansas like the Clintons and stay out of the race. He has no more money and no more time! Mitt is IT!!!!

      • Posted By: mother of 3 @ 01/26/2008 12:55:48 PM

In reading some of your other postings on this site, it sounds to me, rchristley, that you may have a slight problem with anger management. You do, however, have a right to your own opinion...and so do I. Here they are; There are enough people in this country that believe so strongly in Mike Huckabee that they are pledging (in advance) to give their own economic stimulus checks to the campaign, selling personal items on eBay with the proceeds going to the campaign, making calls from their own homes (on a volunteer basis) to inform voters about Huckabee, and the list goes on and on. The other night in the debate Romney suggested that once he gets to Washington he wouldn't owe anybody anything because he used so much of his own money to get there. I propose that when Huckabee is inaugurated he WILL owe somebody something. He will owe each American what he has promised - balancing the budget, protecting America, promoting the sanctity of life, etc. He has shown what he can do in a financially "less than wealthy" state like Arkansas, and he continued to be reelected. This, combined with his consistent record, convinces me that your harsh opinion is just that - YOUR opinion. As for me - GO HUCKABEE!!!!

  • Posted By: WendiR8 @ 01/25/2008 12:08:27 PM

I was extremely impressed with Mitt Romney last night, and he will most definitely get my vote. I was very disappointed in McCain's inability to answer Ron Paul's economic question, where he started citing his advisor's names to cover up his ignorance. He also lied about admitting he was weak on economics...he has several times. So much for "straight talk"! Also, he didn't win the Republican majority vote in any of the first primaries....he came in distant seconds or 4th. Senator McCain also got the endorsement of the New York Times this week, the most liberal newspaper in the nation. What do we want as conservative Republicans? We want a leader who will go to Washington and rip it apart and fix it. Go Mitt Romney!!!

    • Posted By: Pavoter @ 01/25/2008 12:51:51 PM

How can you vote for a man who needs help to answer the questions? Mitt's a fake. You've been deceived by his perfect hair and fat wallet. He has no ideas of his own.

      • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:57:08 AM

You have made a very uninformed comment. Mitt had no earpiece. Tim Russart and Brian Williams both suspect that the sound came from behind them in the audience. Nice try. Mitt is the strongest on all the issues and his opponents can only resort to personal attacks to try to bring him down. "Mitt is a manager, I am a leader." That is a bunch of crap. All of us know that managers are leaders and by the way, a governer is more of a leader than a washed up senator.

      • Posted By: saintandsailor13 @ 01/25/2008 4:17:17 PM

The thing about Mitt is that he makes american's wallets fat too. Right now I am all for a fat wallet.

  • Posted By: bigbrewhaha @ 01/25/2008 12:34:01 PM

As a 'non republican' I was happy to see that the rest of us had finally been recognized by a republican candidate, specifically mr huckabee, for all of our professionalism hard work and contributions we provide to the american economy through all our pimping and gambling.

    • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:51:54 AM

Yeah, i thought that was funny too. I guess he lost the "pimp" vote.

  • Posted By: ProudOfMcCain @ 01/25/2008 3:26:03 PM

If Romney wins, it will be because he bought Florida votes. If McCain wins, it will be based on his years of service to this country, experience and morals. Of all the Republicans up there, not one has sacrificed for his country, NOT his party, but for his COUNTRY like McCain has.

Romney has what? A one term governor? Failed in bid for US Senate? Oh wait, he has the money to buy his votes.

Come on people, come on Floridians...we are much smarter than that...we cannot be bought.

Romney is robotic, says whatever he thinks his current audience wants to hear and gives his stump speech almost each and every time he talks or is asked a question.

    McCain IS America.

    • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:37:03 AM

"years of service" A selfish stint in the military (most vets don't like this guy), arrogance in the senate, never voting with his party when he "thinks its the best decision, " is not years of service. We are voting for the republican nomination, not the "vote for whatever the heak you want" nomination. McCain is the conservatives worst nightmare and the Floridians know that. This is why Romney has been constantly rising above him in the polls since he got there.

    • Posted By: hoopes_az @ 01/25/2008 3:44:51 PM

"Romney has what? A one term governor?"

Yes. And to many of us that is a strength, not a weakness. Politicians are talkers by trade -- that is their expertise. Romney was a doer...that is his expertise. No question, if McCain wins the nomination, I'll support him. But it was painfully obvious last night (despite his protestations) that he has NO idea what he is talking about when it comes to economic policy. When confronted by Paul with a serious question, he simply started naming people that he was associated with who could probably answer the question, but he never answered anything.

      • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:31:27 AM

So you were impressed with McCain's naming game too. I was laughing out loud, especially when in between his names he put a ummmmmm. Ummmmmmm i wouldn't want someone who can't figure out what to say trying to stimulate the economy. There is a reason he lost the primary to George W. Bush. Even though Pres. Bush can't talk and messes up every speech written for him, he's not as bad as McCain. The only reason McCain shows as being more electable than Romney against the Dems is because the people they asked for that poll have not thought about it yet and have only heard of McCain's name. So they just say him when the poll asks.

    • Posted By: jazzbebop @ 01/25/2008 4:14:09 PM

get real Proud of McCain..... McCain has spent how long as a senator? And accomplished what? As near as I can tell, the longer they are in - the worse they get. we would do better to establish better term limits for senators rather than get someone like Kennedy or Mccain who have been around for ever and a day. Romney's loss to Kennedy by a very narrow margin in a heavy democrat state is remarkable. His win as governor, as a republican, amazing......

McCain is america? how do you figure that? How do you buy votes in Florida? If Florida can't vote for the right candidate, its because they can't figure out how to work the punch cards!!!!! Romney would do well in using his money to rent a hall and hold a seminar with them on how to manually work the voting equipment - "when you push on the chad, push on the one that says 'romney', this is how the system works."

    • Posted By: America-loveitorleaveit @ 01/25/2008 3:45:05 PM

NO offense, I like McCain, but I want someone who is going to put more greenbacks in my pocket and no other candidate can do that better than Romney.

  • Posted By: Ben @ 01/25/2008 3:44:53 PM

Ron Paul's questions was about the Federal Reserve, not, "some obscure financial-policy group that advises the White House". He put the question in a way that someone without a solid of understanding of what he was talking about would have a problem answering. Clearly McCain struggled with question. He further asks if there should be transparency (sunlight) in what the Fed does, since they are unelected, hold meetings behind close doors, and control the world economy. Please read his economic policy plan he released the same day as this debate, and you will clearly see how his question is addressed in it. There are only 5 Republicans left, please learn some of their plans when you are chosen to write about their views.

    • Posted By: hoopes_az @ 01/25/2008 3:52:38 PM

Look, I think Ron Paul is off of his rocker, but I honestly thought that McCain's response to his question was the absolute WORST response of the night by far. He started naming all of his friends who would know the answer. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

      • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:23:31 AM

Amen to McCain being totally ignorant on the issues. He can say as many names as he wants. If i've never heard of them it doesn't matter. He should go ahead with his "straight talk" and finally admitt that Hillary and Bill Clinton has endorsed his campaign as well.

      • Posted By: Ben @ 01/25/2008 4:08:59 PM

why is he off his rocker? In fairness I support Ron Paul. His political persona needs polishing no question, but that doesn't invalidate what he says.

        • Posted By: hoopes_az @ 01/25/2008 5:46:25 PM

Well, I can tell you why I think he is off his rocker...my opinion of course. But here's a few:
          1. He thinks Lincoln made a mistake by entering into a civil war, on the basis that "war is always bad". As part of his justification, he indicated that slavery would have worked itself out. I disagree. Without the civil war I doubt slavery would have worked itself out. We would have two countries instead of one. My opinon.

          2. He didn't support the civil rights act on the basis that government shouldn't be involved. Look, I'm not crazy about affirmative action, but I also believe the civil rights act served a valid purpose. It's disgusting to see the way blacks were treated, even 40 years ago.

          3. He doesn't believe in taxes (I don't love them either) but has gone so far as to justify how people can decide to disobey the law and not pay. Provisions for income tax, he says, are not included in the constitution. Two things: first, civil disobedience doesn't fly with me. Obey the law. Don't like the law, then change it. But the President of the country cannot be supporting folks, even in a token way, who decide that paying taxes just isn't in their cards.

          4. His whole plan for economic reform is based upon an Austrian economic theory (theory being the operative word...never tested). While lots needs to be changed, I'm not willing to jump off of a cliff with the guy to try out his theory.

          5. The newsletters...too much to say about that. In short, he either knew and agreed with what was in the newsletters (which makes him racist) or he didn't, which means that he is incompetent to run even his own newsletter. Both are equally damning in my judgement.

          6. He got lots of ideas, but no record getting anything done. In fact, nobody wants to work with him. All the best ideas in the world are worth nothing if you can't put them in action. Ron Paul can't put them in action. he has no support.

There's more...but I'm probably going to get cut short for typing too much. It's not that all of his ideas are bad...some I like. But some are nutty/overly risky in my opinion. And there's just too much question about his character and past associations that makes me wary of him.

      • Posted By: Ben @ 01/25/2008 4:04:49 PM

Why is he off his rocker? In fairness I support Ron Paul, but agree his political persona needs some Romney polishing. He is principled in his views and I find it truly refreshing someone like him is getting the support he is finding.

  • Posted By: saintandsailor13 @ 01/25/2008 3:50:11 PM

what's the number one issue in america, the real issue? the economy! who has the most experience in economic issues? not mccain! oh yeah that's right it's romney! how did romney get all that money, because he was successful in business, he didn't ride anyone elses coat tails. he is not asking tax payers to gamble their money on him, he is using a majority of his money, it shows his ambition and personal beleif that he can change things. you don't want someone in washington to run things like washington does, you want someone from the outside who has been effected by washington. and i don't consider spending a good portion of ones' military career as a prisoner as real foreign policy experience. florida is waking up, their seeing sunshine, that ray of hope of a young succesful candidate, who is going to bring change, you shouldn't hide your feelings about romney, just be honest and ignorant and say you don't like him because of his religion.

    • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:18:41 AM

Great Post! Does anyone realize that Romney didn't even take money for his job fixing the SLC Olympics and his Job as the Gov. of Mass? His wealth is not a detriment to his campaign it is an asset. Am I the only one that wanted to punch Huckabee in the mouth when he made the comment about mitt's son inheriting his money? I can't believe people are attacking the man for his brilliance in earning money and his religion. Very Childish! MSNBC should issue a formal apology to the Romney campain for Tim Russart's Questions concering Romney's personal contributions and his religion.

    • Posted By: jazzbebop @ 01/25/2008 4:08:33 PM

His religion isn't a problem. Shouldn't be a problem. Nor should we be considered about it.

Romney is the best man for the job....

  • Posted By: dpb28a @ 01/25/2008 3:52:34 PM

Looks like MSNBC removed their own poll since Ron Paul was clearly the winner according to your voters. Now he does not even get mentioned in your story - shame on you - this is what people are sick and tired of - it is only the news and important (or real) if the news agency says so - guess what? That isn't so - and I am glad that so many Americans are learning that as a result of Dr. Ron Paul.

    • Posted By: BryceO @ 01/26/2008 3:13:01 AM

It doesn't matter what the MSNBC text message poll said. That is obviously a very skewed poll. Actually i wouldn't even concider it to be a poll. Just because all of Ron Paul supporters sent a texts with every cell phone they could get a hold of does not mean he won the debate. Have you ever taken a statistics class. Well the margin of error on that poll was likely +/- 95%. Mitt won the debate handily and somehow McCain got all the coverage. Who does the media want to run against the Dems. The inside Dem himself. Joe Leiberman is his main supporter. McCain does not fit the mantle of a president, i think he said ummmmm about every other word in his responses. And people shouldn't vote for someone because he named off about 50 people very few Americans have ever heard of. If you vote for McCain you are not voting for him, you are voting for him and all the lobbyists and people in washington with an agenda to get nothing done.

    • Posted By: rchristley @ 01/25/2008 5:58:52 PM

Paul supporters SPAM every poll to get Ron on the top. It is a shame, because he really does have a lot of good points, however, he is just not electable. Maybe he can work in Mitt's cabinet. I would support that.

      • Posted By: Dave Oursler @ 01/25/2008 8:19:17 PM

Although not the "superstar" that Mitt Romney is as far as delegate count (at least, not yet), Ron Paul has still managed to do better than Rudy Guilani in all the state contests except for New Hampshire (and even that was merely by one percentage point). What is more, Dr. Paul has managed to raise more money from private individuals than any of the other Republicans. This, when many of the "frontrunners" are running on fumes financially. To say that Ron Paul is unelectable is just to parrot the wishful thinking of the media / big government elites who ignore or ridicule him (and our Constitution). Whether or not Ron Paul winds up as the Republican nominee, the fact remains that the Good Doctor is a much stronger candidate than the "mainstream" media would have us believe. Remember, the nominee needs 1191 delegtes, not 59. It's still early, my friends! :-) www.ronpaul2008.com.

I agree, all the talk about the Mormon Church is silly... From what I've read, everything he touches turns to gold... including the Olympics. Right now we need strong leadership to turn our wounded country around, not rhetoric or smoke and mirrors. I just hope the anti-Mormons wont submarine Romneys run, depriving us of our best shot at the White House and a brighter future for our country.

    GO MITT ROMNEY!

It amazes me that people actually think a man in the White House can make them rich! The people of America are SO decieved! God have Mercy on us! If we vote for a man who votes against pro-life, the marriage amendment, moral education and doesn't stand firm on Israel, the rest isn't going to matter, because we're going to have to deal with the judgement of God! To see a comparison of the voting record, check out www.wallbuilders.com Mike Huckabee is the only one we should vote for.

    • Posted By: jazzbebop @ 01/26/2008 1:29:32 AM

Faith.... Are you saying if we don't vote for HUCKABEE the judgements of God will be upon us? Cause if I read between the lines, it would appear that is what you are saying. The problems in this country are a result of the general population getting lax - we can control our government regardless of candidate if we will get involved. The cities, states, etc... is where we need to make our biggest voice.
Not that I am disagreeing with you as we need someone to back morality in this country> But, our biggest problem in society isn't the people we elect, its the entertainment industry we choose to support. That propaganda, and constant education of morality (or better, lack there of) is what is bringing our country down. It won't matter who you put in the white house if we as people don't make better choices.

Yet another Mainstream media shill blacking out the only voice of reason among the elitist idiots (and criminals in the case of Ghouliani) running on the Republican ticket. You didn't even mention his NAME; RON PAUL RON PAUL RON PAUL; why do all the networks (even PBS) and news outlets like this one consistently try to either portray this patriot as a kook or simply pretend he doesn't exist. If the votes were counted fairly (Live Free or DIEbold!) in NH he would have won; and he did come in 2nd in three states that I know of (Nevada, Louisiana and Arizona) yet he was barely mentioned. Your gig is up. The savvy internauts among us know the truth of your lies and almost all of us, even life long dems like myself, are starting to wake up and realize what a bunch of cowardly yes men you are; it amuses me AND pisses me off how afraid of him you must be. I am appalled though how you all think you can write him off. Every time this happens you only succeed in turning more people onto RON PAUL and off to your propaganda. He is the ONLY one making any sense, the only one with integrity. Wake up you idiots, before it's too late and we have to endure another four years of tyranny!!!!!!!!!You in the MSM (mainsteam media) fool no one with half a brain. Unfortunately that still leaves most Americans under your power but these blatant blackouts in the press are backfiring. Good grief, just how "anti-Romney" can the media be?!

First, the Romney-haters are out in force claiming that the voice whispering "he raised taxes" was a Romney campaign member giving Mitt "illegal assistance" during the Forida debate last night. This despite NBC publicly saying that the whisper was simply an errant comment picked up by a microphone and most likely made by an audience member or TV crew member.

Second, the 23 second msnbc.com internet clip of the whisper includes a repeat of Tim Russert's question so that you can hear the voice say "he raised taxes" not once but twice. While some may say msnbc.com did that out of "convenience" to web surfers, in this day and age of American culture, the more a "conspiracy theory" gets air-time the more it is believed. Go check out the growing number of idiotic "9-11 truthers" websites for proof on that sad fact. If you want to hear the whisper again, click repeat. Seems to me that msn.com and msnbc just want to keep the controversy going.

Third, and this one really frustrates me, a guy named Tom Minnery, a senior VP from a group called "Focus Action" claims on an msnbc.com clip that Mitt Romney has acknowledged that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) are not Christian. WHAT?! In the same clip another man named Tony Perkins, president of the "Family Research Council" says that he thinks Tom Minnery got that info from Mitt Romney's "Faith In America" speech last month. (I apologize to Newsweek readers who just want to "discuss the issues" and not religion but I feel compelled to say I wouldn't need to clarify such stupid untruths if the media quit allowing such falsehoods to be repeated). Have you seen Romney's 18 minute "Faith In America" speech? All of it? I have, FOUR TIMES, and NOWHERE in that speech did Romney EVER say that "Mormons are not Christians". PLEASE go watch it for yourself. I'll paraphrase this a little but in that speech Romney said that the religious question he is asked the most as a Mormon candidate running for President is "Are you a Christian?", and he very clearly replied that he believed that Jesus Christ was his personal Savior. How is THAT "No, I'm not a Christian"?

Come on you media schmucks, Romney is intelligent, educated, articulate, has tremendous class and patience (he needs it to deal with you negative, liberal media types), has been wildly successful in his business ventures, deeply loves his country, has no skeletons in his closet, is happily married to the same woman he fathered 5 children with, has served his fellow man admirably in high profile church and state government positions and has integrity to spare. Now just what exactly did you want in your next President?

Ron Paul made some very valid points concerning the economy, government spending overseas, and the short-sightedness of current policy. McCain looked puzzled by the issue and talked about his collections of friends who know more than he does. We need to have a debate to determine each candidate's level of economic intelligence in a format closer to that of a job interview. This is the issue of our time.
