Comment: this is fairly lovely, as i adore all these foods...I am not at all sold on the detox-angle of this, but I have heard repeatedly about the anti-carcinogenicness specialness of the above mention foods (well, i hadn't heard pesto, but am happy to hear it!). Comment: Apart from physical detoxication in my opinion mental and emotional detoxication is equally important. The mormons are becoming popular with their pure thoughts ideas for example.
Comment: Have you heard of the group of people in Loma Linda that have been part of a health research? They are known to have better health and live 10 years longer than most typical Americans. Is their lifestyle dfferent from the norm? How has it contributed to their health? Can we learn anything from them?
Comment: I think it is interesting that people change the oil in their car, change the furnace filters, brush your teeth, dust the house, etc. but don't think the internal body sometimes needs a little cleansing as well. Before labeling this as "bunk," I would suggest trying it to see for yourself. The more we trust the mainstream "professionals" for health advice, the fatter and unhealthier we have become as a culture. These are the same people who are bringing you GM food and cloned cheesburgers. Great.
