What gives me hope is when I pull out of a gas station and I still have some money left in my wallet. Vote Clinton
What gives me hope is when I pull out of a gas station and I still have some money left in my wallet. Vote Clinton
Huh? So basically, the Clintons are your budget managers? Or they have direct control over the price of gas? Really?
A serioulsy ridiculous comment.
It just blows my mind how Obama gets people to want to cross over and vote for him. He background is dark with plenty of shadows. His relationship with a spiritual advisor that rants and raves against whites, honors louis farrahkan, believes Gods promises to Israel are not valid today. Obama in bed with Rezke who is a syrian muslim, now being prosecuted for extortion, fraud, amongst other crimes. It amazes me how the drive by media give Obama a free pass, and then you have the conservative media doing their thing, If any other candidate had to go through what the clintons do , they would be out of the race in not time. I am glad to see the Clinton numbers continue to go up.
Wow. You are seriously out of touch. Obviously you are in close contact with "the conservative media" since the junk you wrote is right out of their play book.
Obama is the best and brightest chance we have as a nation to restore respect to our American name. Billary has no chance of bringing people together. All we'll get from them is self-serving interests and more distractions from getting anything actually accomplished.
Looks like the press needs to take a break. They are becoming increasingly hysterical and uncontrollable. All of them in every news outlet are running around always in a state of shock. It is not the politicians ??? it is the press that is foaming at the mouth.
If Obama was all familiar with rough and tumble of Chicago politics - wasn???t it foolish of him to raise the name of Reagan in a democratic primary and expect his opponents not to challenge him? At least he could have waited until after the primaries to say it. He wants to get to the White House easily without taking any stand or voting for anything relevant to the Democrats. It is a contest ??? he is going to be challenged. All the better for him or Hillary when November rolls around. It toughens up the Democrats for the general election. It is a political campaign and all shots are fair. Eleanor is right ??? it WILL pay dividends this fall. Republicans are going to be far more aggressive and nasty with their shots and if anyone can handle it the Clintons can.
Ms Clift is right, .. the real fght is yet t o come, and the GOP will anhilate Obama.... if he does get that far.
Who would we rather have 8 more years of GOP
We all know how good Bill is and a master of strategy and counterpunch.
Pity Edwards cant shake off his loser mantle.
And women voters still feel they prefer a MAN to LEAD.... Specially Afro-Ameficans ????
Would Obama be anywhere were he a brilliant white Harvard Graduate ???
If the Dems want white house they had better unite behind Hillary.
I will never vote for Hilary Clinton or her husband after seeing their behavior during this election. They are both a total turn off and I don't want anyone as negative and ruthless as those two in the white house . I would rather vote for McCain if Obama does not win and I am a democrat.
The rationale that beating up on Obama now is nothing compared to what the Reppublicans in the fall is like condoning your older child for beating the crap out of your younger child to ready him for the schoolyard in the fall. "Give me a break - talk about a fairy tale!"
I'm done with the Clintons.
I agree. I voted for Bill Clinton 2x and I initially considered her my candidate. But, I've washed my hands of them. Those who make excuses for them by claiming that this is nothing compared to running against the Republican's in the fall ...well, what a fairly tale! It is one thing to play tough with the real opponents in the fall but it is another thing altogether to pummel someone on the same team. That is sort of like a big brother beating the crap out of his younger brother with the claim that it will make him better equipped for the schoolyard.
Seems to me if these were two white male candidates these insignificant exchanges would not even be addressed. The Republicans are making jabs all the time and nothing is being broadcasted and candidates tore apart for their actions. Seems the press is discriminating against women and men of color. It also seems that the press seems to want to pick on and scrutinize women much more than men of color. Why is this? It becomes so evident day after day? Why do the Americans allow the press to be so discriminatory? If neither one of these candidates can stand the heat of each other then they should get out of the race and stop whinning. The Press needs to stop taking sides. If these candidates can't take the cautious statements that each has thrown at each otherthan how in the world are they going to stand up to the republicans. In the General Election will the press than defend the white male as if it is business as usual? Does the press favor Republicans over Democrats? Obama is ahead in SC right now, he should accept that as a positive thing and move on. Hillary is ahead in the National polls, she should take that as a positive thing and move on. If the Press knows of issues why either one of these people should not be elected than that should be addressed. The Press are the real attackers in this race. They are the ones dividing the Democratic Party. Hillary and Barack are just trying to do their best in trying to relay to the American people what change they can bring to America. Neither are trying to divide the Democratic party.
Well said djhanson71 !!!
Both candidates are great options--
whatever reason, the press has chosen to discredit the Clinton's at every turn. Don't listen to them!!! We have not two but three great candidates to choose from. Come November we'll be ready for the Republicans!!!
Give Hillary some credit. At least she didn't say that while she was working on behalf of children he was doing drugs. Now THAT would have been a cheap shot.
ok
If Bill Clinton's cheap shots pay s off, let's blame American yellow journalism. When will the fourth estate of democracy live up to her calling? Is there no more value in objective truthful reporting?
Agreed that 9/11 had us all banboozled and cowing to false intelligence report on Saddam's WMD, it is worth making up for the media's complicit passive role in trumping up the war agenda by pointing out the class, gender and race cards been employed by the Clinton Attack Machine.
As beautiful and brilliant a lady like Hillary Clinton, the objective to serve the American people should not damn common sense to win at all cost. We need a president whose number 1 priority is to serve the American people _ not a divisive candidate who wants to be president.
coment: What is so bad about the Clinton's ?I'm tired of hearing crap about them, its eather one thing : you're a black person or a" machista".that's the only reason you don't want to have a woman for a president. I reather to have a woman for president than somebody with a name OSAMA ; I mean obama. get it?. Nothing is wrong with the Clinton's . VOTE FOR HILLARY YA'LL FEEL BETTER!! she's been there, give her a chance ,men presidents can't do the job, let a woman president do the job.!!!!
Comment: You know the press is distoring everything. Just take one look at who has the most delegates and we all know Hilary is being given the run around. I do not blame her for digging up the dirt on Obama. Besides the Clinton years the stock market just kept going up. The Republicans seem to be tied to a Gold Standard that wrecks the economy. Only reason for voting for a Republican would be if they brought the companies bac to the US.
You have got to be kidding, Obama is a big boy now and "present" just won't do.
Come on everyone... the press is twisting everything to their liking. Don't get me wrong, I like Obama, Edwards, and Clinton... But for whatever reason Obama has gotten a free pass against the Clintons. The press is constantly reporting how he's being double teamed by them, etc. Yes, they may be dishing it out, but no more than the other candidates. It's fun to hate the Clintons... but get over it people!!!
I'm sorry to say... But the press is twisting everything to their liking... Do not get me wrong, I'm a democrat and I will vote for whoever the democrat nominee is, Clinton, Obama, or Edwards, but the Clinton's are not the only ones dishing it out, yet they are the ones taking the heat. For whatever reason, they have given Obama a free pass on anything he says... and all reports are about how he's being double teamed by the Clintons. Give me a break!!!
In New Hampshire, Hilary said she found her own voice. In South Carolina, we all found her and her hubby's ugly voice.
Well, it's made me dislike her much more than I did and I"m certainly voting for Obama now. It's good to see the real Hillary after those crocodile tears in New Hampshire. As far as being cheap, just wait until the Republicans unite against her in the general election. If she alienates the black vote I'd like to know how she's going to win in states like Ohio. The map really isn't going to change much from the last elections and alienating a key part of the democratic party is pretty dangerous, especially if he wins in South Carolina. I think her (and Bill's) negatives are already starting to pile up.
By my count, there are about half a dozen folks in this discussion so far who indicated they were either Independents or Republicans and considering voting for Barack Obama. I counted no one fitting that description who thinks Hillary Clinton is a viable option. I realize this isn't exactly a scientific survey, but ask yourself this question, Why do a bunch of Independents and Republicans, including someone like me who has never before joined one of these discussions, weigh in on a discussion about Obama and Clinton? Trust me on this one...it isn't so I can talk about Sen. Clinton. If the object is to win in November, I have to believe that the Democratic party has more chance of attracting voters like me with Barack Obama than with Hillary Clinton.
Your comment was insighful and right on the money. I posted a later comment and wish I read this earlier. However, the Clinton's are managing to sap the energy out of change and ensure the Conutry stays the course it on.
Thanks 30Badger. There's a reason folks like us are taking the time to research Democrats, and it isn't because Sen. Clinton has offered us new hope.
Sometimes I think Dems haven't quite figured out yet what the Clintons have unleashed on the Democratic Party, now that they played the race card in desperation after losing Iowa. They figured out they could label Obama the "black candidate", and win back white voters, especially in the south. Even their strategists openly call him that in media reports. Problem is, if they get the nomination, blacks will stay home in Nov. As for me, as a lifelong Democrat whose never voted Republican, I won't ever vote for Hillary, no matter what. And given what the Clintons have done here, I might go so far as to openly support/campaign for the Republican candidate against Hillary. Enough is enough of the Clintons. America just doesn't need this, not to mention what the Clintons have now done to the Democratic Party in order to secure the nomination, not that they care.
Besides the fact that Obama will win the nomination, Clinton's dirty political tactics will not work in the fall because half of the democratic party is fed up with her AND her husband and would rather vote Republican then for her. If she does manage to fight her way into the nomination with her lies, I guess we will have another fun 4 years with a Republican which sure did the country good these last 8 years. And we will all have the Clinton's to thank.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman." If he can lie through his teeth like that, why in the hell are we believing a word that comes out of his dirty mouth now? Come on America, open your eyes! It was not that long ago that the country was trying to impeach this man. WAKE UP!
Dearest Realistic: Obama wining the White House is, well, a fairy tale. Hillary will clean up on Super Tuesday and then will win PA and be on her way back to the White House!!
I would have to disagree. She may lie her way into the nomination, which will be a complete loss for this country, but I have no doubt that she would lose the November election. That is what you get when you piss off half of your own party. That doesn't leave many people left to vote for her.
