For Democrats it's a simple question: Do we want to win? Or do we just want to whine about it when we've lost? The Clinton's (like it or not) know how to win.

Obama was the first to bring into play the RASCIAL part, By makeing the statment, We have come from slavery (look at us now) they say it couldn't be done!

The Clintons feel they have an entitlement to rule the USA. They behave and feel that they are royalty. They lie (Obama on Reagan and Obama position on the war)cheat(Monica) and have used power for their own gains. They stir up racial tensions against Obama to get the votes of white Americans while courting black Americans who owe them . I am disgusted with how they turned the democratic primary rom a contest of ideas, hope and change into a guttersniping and dirty trick campaign. The Clinton's cheap shots and dirty approach may pay off for them but the people of the USA will foot the Bill and America will be a Hellary if the Clintons return to the White House.

Will all you Clinton haters take a brak? Here are the facts: for a long time, Hillary took the attacks from Obama's team and the press with no response. I am a 54 y.o. African American who decided to support Clinton after taking four months to clearly review the history, facts and ideology of all the candidates.

Obama is likeable, but if you take the time to clearly review his record and past statements, you will see his ideas are unrealistic and will garner no support from Congress, if elected. We want to win the White House. We must be practical. Clinton has demonstrated that she can match the Republicans in an expected bruising campaign that the Republicans are planning to launch, irrespective of who the Demmocrats choose. If they did it to Jimmy Carter, don't you think they will destroy Obama?

Obama was the first to bring Rascial problems into the picture early in his campain, By saying we have come from slavery, look at us now(in so many words)they said it couldn't be done.

I don't know who I want to vote for yet, but it will not be Obama

  • Posted By: WisconsinGAL @ 01/26/2008 6:55:39 AM

Why vote for Hillary? Aren't we sick of Politics as usual? I want someone to work for the "UNITED states of America", not the "DIVDED States of America". I support Obama. He's a great father, husband, human being. I want a better place for our children. He is where he is because of hard work and perserverance, not because of his last name. If Hillarys last name were not Clinton would she even be an option?

  • Posted By: WisconsinGAL @ 01/26/2008 6:48:44 AM

I am sickened by the thought that the "Clintons " could be President again. Aren't we Americans tired of the way our government is run? We need a President that can work for a "UNITED states of America", not a "DIVIDED states of America". I am an avid Obama supporter, I believe he will make America a better place for my children. He is such an outstanding person, father, husband. He is where he is because he worked hard. Nothing was handed to him. That's the kind of person I want to run MY country. Would Hillary be a
candidate for President if her last name wasn't Clinton? Yes, she may be brilliant, but I don't think that's the qualifies her to be commander in chief. I think having someone who has integrity and is also brilliant is a better candidate. I suggest everyone read Obama's book, The Audacity of hope. I think the people that don't like him haven't taken the initiative to get to know what he's about. What is there not to like?

Are we suppose to be swayed to vote for Clinton because her campaign slogan is "Nastier in November"?

  • Posted By: johnowens041462 @ 01/26/2008 6:42:39 AM

I'll vote for a republican before I vote for Hillary. I don't want her representing my country.

  • Posted By: learljames @ 01/26/2008 5:50:23 AM

One of the reasons I like Clinton is that she knows how to play hardball better that any other Demo! And whoever runs against the Repbs in Nov had better know how to deal with the swift boat syille of politcs they use. Lets not send an idelastic young man into that buzz saw. Let him mature for 4 or 8 years and let us find out who he really is. Ill vote for him next time but not this time!

nycheesehead, you are so logical. It's people like you that is the cause for why our country is in the condition we are now in. You say that if the Republicans continue to control the presidency, there will be "Four or eight years of rancor, no health insurance for even more Americans, the world gets warmer, and we are further enslaved by foreign oil. However, worst of all, [you] will have left [your] 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter with a world and country worse off than the country and world [your] parents left to [you]."

Which is why you are so adamant about voting for McCain (an unabashed Bush supporting Republican) over Hillary Clinton (a Democrat who is anti-Bush a lot of the time). You de Man!

    Hi Elenor.

Wow. I guess you think your readers have an IQ of 50 or less. They really fall for these articles? Nobody is allow to DERAIL the BELOVED Obama off his self proclaimed HYPE OF HOPE speech? He should just be allowed to do and say whatever he wants, kind of like many in history who use the HYPE OF HOPE on desperate masses. Does the likes of Adolph Hitler and Adi Amin come to mind?

The clintons letting him have it is fair game. Just like it would be fair game for Obama to question Clintons record. OH AND HOW HE HAS. THE WAR VOTE . NAFTA , everything.

Where is your articles about attacking Clinton ? Where is your article about BELOVED OBAMA lumping the most successfull democratic president in with RICHARD NIXON ?

    Golden rule

When obama makes idiot remaks, its fair game

When Clinton does -bill or hillary -they are playing NASTY POLITICS.

I was a Democrat when younger, and then became an Independent in 1992 (I voted for Perot). However, after the buffoonery and fascist attack on personal liberties by W and his cronies, I vowed I would NEVER again vote for a Republican.

After much thought, I have decided to support Barack Obama for President. I read his book Audacity of Hope, agreed with him that the "new majority" is more concerned about becoming the "United States of America" instead of the disastrous "Red State/Blue State" dichotomy. I believe that the great majority of Americans want to be inspired to think and do beyond their own self-interest for the greater good. They are collectively ashamed that New Orleans still looks as it does; they are fed up with that the rest of the major countries in the world take better care of the health of their citizens than the U.S. They hunger for a President to inspire us and lead a united nationwide effort to wean ourselves off foreign oil, just as John Kennedy challenged us to go to the moon within a decade.

They are also sick and tired of the oligarchies that seek to control this country for 20 years: Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.

I now understand what it is about the Clintons that Republicans hate so much; it's all about power; it's all about power in their hands.

Shame on Bill Clinton; he should act like a former President. You can see his "thirst" for power boil over in the attempt to slay the insurgent Obama; how dare he challenge the Clinton's power!!! Make no mistake about it; Bill is running for a third term.

Hillary seeks to be the first woman president; an admirable calling; a potential inspiration to the women and girls of this country, my 10-year-old daughter included. Yet, what has she done? She is basically saying "If you try to challenge me I will send my husband after you to BEAT YOU UP!!!" Great. The first woman president needs her HUBBY to fight her fights for her. Nice example.

The Republicans shouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell this November; no consensus candidate; the rank and file in complete disarray; no central figure behind which to rally. Then some of my moronic Democrats want to give them Hillary Clinton to run against. Great. Unite the Republican Party for them. Four or eight years of rancor, no health insurance for even more Americans, the world gets warmer, and we are further enslaved by foreign oil.

However, worst of all, I will have left my 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter with a world and country worse off than the country and world my parents left to me. Nice job, us "children of the sixties."

Here's the deal. I am so against oligarchies, and I am so disappointed and disgusted by the power hungry Clintons, that if "they" (noticed I said they) are the nominees of the Democratic Party I will not vote for them.

I will either (i) stay home; or (ii) vote for John McCain (if he is the Republican nominee) in protest.

There was a time when I would have supported Clinton if Obama lost his bid for the nomination; that time will never come now that Hill and Bill have played their nasty, lying game to discredit Obama. SHE WILL NEVER WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION, WE WILL NOT RALLY BEHIND HER. She has lost me and many of my friends forever. Fellow Democrats, vote for Hillary and you can be sure that we will lose in November. I am 60, white, a woman and I will NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton.

    • Posted By: natekng @ 01/26/2008 5:18:02 AM

Despite the blood letting in the primaries, when it's all said and done, Hillary Clinton is going to choose Obama as her running mate - to galvanize the party. Clinton/Obama will beat the Republicans, regain the White House, fumigate, then lead us out of the Dark Ages.

    • Posted By: Mother Gronket @ 01/26/2008 4:13:20 AM

Is Edwards smart enough to let the Clintons and Obamas bash it out and possibly thrust him to the front of the party in the process....

  • Posted By: DemsCantWin @ 01/26/2008 3:56:14 AM

Why criticize Obama? He is a great guy! I wish he were president. I wish he could win the presidency. Maybe after the Clintons beat the crap out of him, he'll come back ready to play hardball nest time. Maybe he'll be vice president. Maybe he'll lose the nomination for us. Who knows, maybe he'll win, but I sincerely doubt it. Let's face it, we'd all love a good person for president. Any of the 3 would do. But if we lose, it really doesn't matter which one we picked, now does it?

So honestly, if you are lucky enough to read this post, you should mark my words. Anyone who totally trashes a Democrat here is not a Democrat. Notice that even as our candidates lie about each other, they do not attack the parts that matter in the general. They accuse each other of being too conservative, or too centrist. That only helps in the general election. Hillary and Obama know what they're doing. But beating the Repub machine, that's nearly impossible now.

  • Posted By: ernieford @ 01/26/2008 3:37:41 AM

Mr. Obama started all of this when he came 'out of the gate' early in the race, criticizing his team mates and goading them on. He came out saying he wasn't going to engage in this sort of thing, and proceded to engage in 'this sort of thing'. Now he is the 'victim'....

  • Posted By: Mother Gronket @ 01/26/2008 3:37:10 AM

    Well written. Sad but true!

  • Posted By: Mother Gronket @ 01/26/2008 3:20:55 AM

It's sad that even though the country wants a change from the Republican leadership currently at the helm, the Democratic party cannot field an electable candidate. Look's like another 4 years with the same party in the Oval Office is upon us. I hope the country can survive!

    • Posted By: DemsCantWin @ 01/26/2008 3:29:52 AM

I think it can survive. After all, democracy was abolished in 2000 are we're still here. Sure we still pretend to have elections, but we know the truth. The people who ran Bush will run McCain or Huck, or whoever else the Repubs put in. The working class will get a few table scraps, and the super rich will get more yachts and homes. Life as usual. Things are settling in here in America.

  • Posted By: a brighter America 08 @ 01/26/2008 2:57:54 AM

The Clintons are contemptable. They plant seeds of poison (lies about and distortionsof the truth) and their Clintonistas take them as uttering "the truth and nothing but the truth". ALL of the accusations the Clintons have made have proven to be false or grossly distorted. Fact CHECKS are being done and Bill and Hillary are being proven as liars and underhanded. People who still insist Hillary and her rabid pittbull of a husband are entitled to the White House again are deluding themselves. The old adage, "How you run your compaign is how you'll govern" holds true. Senator Obama IS the candidate who will bring true leadership to the this country. I'll take his honesty and inttegrity over the Clintons' deceit and slash and burn tactics any day!! For those who insist Hillary SHOULD be the nominee because she can "FIGHT" the Republicans are voting for her for the WRONG reasons. IF she should get the nomination and IF she should be elected, she would continue FIGHTING the Republications and NOTHING WOULD EVER GET DONE.. Those people who are endorsing Hillary are people from the Clinton Era---they do NOT want change, they want to keep things the same as the 1990s. This is 2008, a new century which not only calls for change, it demands it. The politics of yesteryear are OUTDATED and will not work. It is time for a new champter and a new directior with Mr. Obama at the helm. He will be able to hold his own in the general election. I have confidence in him and what he stands for and I truly believe he will be an outstanding President who can gets things done through cohesiveness and diplomacy, rather than by fighting, screeching, crying, and demanding. True results are accomplished by working together and not by fighting and demanding. How sad that so many American citizens cannot seem to grasp this reality..

Notice how CaliforniaDem and KingDarron repeat the same post lots of times. That's the Republican seal on their posts. They are not writing opinions, they are playing dumb democrats. And let's face it folks, we are dumb democrats. Will we fall for it again? Yes. Just call me the canary in the coal mine.
