Black-Brown Divide

Since a few have asked, I'm going to rephrase: it is my opinion that it is reductionist to refer to entire groups of people by the names of colors.

I live in Los Angeles, and Earl Ofari Hutchinson is not an expert on Latinos. His so-called political analysis means absolutely nothing.

I'm a Latino Texan and quite honestly, this question of racial divide is as abhorrent as our current governments ability to take out loans from china and loan the money out to other nations who don't even need the money. For crying out loud, it's not about "Politics" anymore. It's about being co-patriots, one race, in a country that we all love. I love America far too much to watch her being torn up by the media, politics. Vote Obama!!!!

This is a non-story. Most Latinos, unlike blacks, live all over CA--cities, suburbs, small towns, the desert, the mountains--and have little or no contact with African-Americans, much less conflict.

And in other parts of the West the black popuation is very small. Mr. Hutchinson is using South-Central Los Angeles as microcosm of the whole West. And Newsweek calls him a race expert? He has a BS degree-- in raceology.

The east coast media cannot be trusted to tell the truth about anything.

make strong border fence, donot let illegal come in, that's the way to do....fight for it, both black and white....I cannot accept teh fact that teh illegal mexicans coming in here, getting the legality in an illegal way, can shape our politics, and our way of life....If hillary is elected, she will open teh southern border for illegals.. stop her...

obama has no chance in cali, texas, ny, fl (huge hispanic population). go hillary!!

She knows who she is. Her family, brothers sisters cousins worship the ground that white people walk on! They all have White babies and brag about their blue eye and blond hair just a s much as white people do about themselves!!! Being Hispanic in the communities for over 20 years I can tell you that there really is no conflict between African -American and Hispanics..It complete political rubbish!!!

The problem is many Hispanics have been washing brown from their skin all the while claiming to be very proud to be Hispanic, yet hating black people all along!!

MLK fought for these people rights and when they got them they turned on black because they worshipped the image of success "White People " I mean think about... The Native Indian was conquered by the White Spaniards, rapped the Native women and had Spanish babies and made the native babies speak their language "Spanish"... The native Indian is Lost!

The same thing happened to Africans who are now African American but we never forgot who we were. Do you really think Spanish people are going to vote for a black man?

And Asian women 21 to 31 years old, 50,000 per year do mail-order brides just to marry a 55 year old and up White American to become American and the hottest selling product in Asia is products that make the skin white? Did you really think Barrack was going to get the Asian vote? These people worship "Idols" which is the 1st of the Ten Commandments Commanded by GOD!!! Not all Hispanics but a tremendous amount hate black people....just because white people do!!!! They will never admit it due to "Pride" but it`s true!!!

Wouldn't programs that help the black community also help Latino communities--as long as they were based on socioeconomic status and not race. If that were the case, wouldn't latinos have an interest in voting for a black candidate?

As a Latina voter, I'm asking: can the media please stop referring to the Hispanic/Latino voters as "Brown?" It's insulting. We're not all dark or brown-skinned, etc.

The races that are the most divided are the ones who need the most unity. All POOR people should stand united, black , latino and poor whites and elect a Presiden that cares about their wellbeing. We need to work on the borders, better healthcare in poor communities, race relations, job creations and many other issues efffecting this country. God bless the next President!
