Black-Brown Divide

Paying unskilled Americans to stay at home, feeding into their since of entitlement, and then making up for the apparent dearth of Americans willing to do manual labor by inviting all of Latin America's poor to come and do it is a very dangerous quick fix. When all services are finally overwhelmed and cease to function in our urban areas, these areas will become extremely dangerous and violent areas, populated by a permanent underclass. When the crumbs of the welfare state dry up, bloodshed will resolve the conflict between these two groups, bloodshed that could have been averted had our national leadership addressed the fact that we have millions of unskilled Americans who are this way by choice and refuse to work. I say do away with all forms of welfare, except for children and the elderly. Then, if we still have a labor shortage, we look to immigration.

She knows who she is. Her family, brothers sisters cousins worship the ground that white people walk on! They all have White babies and brag about their blue eye and blond hair just a s much as white people do about themselves!!! Being Hispanic in the communities for over 20 years I can tell you that there really is no conflict between African -American and Hispanics..It complete political rubbish!!!

The problem is many Hispanics have been washing brown from their skin all the while claiming to be very proud to be Hispanic, yet hating black people all along!!

MLK fought for these people rights and when they got them they turned on black because they worshipped the image of success "White People " I mean think about... The Native Indian was conquered by the White Spaniards, rapped the Native women and had Spanish babies and made the native babies speak their language "Spanish"... The native Indian is Lost!

The same thing happened to Africans who are now African American but we never forgot who we were. Do you really think Spanish people are going to vote for a black man?

And Asian women 21 to 31 years old, 50,000 per year do mail-order brides just to marry a 55 year old and up White American to become American and the hottest selling product in Asia is products that make the skin white? Did you really think Barrack was going to get the Asian vote? These people worship "Idols" which is the 1st of the Ten Commandments Commanded by GOD!!! Not all Hispanics but a tremendous amount hate black people....just because white people do!!!! They will never admit it due to "Pride" but it`s true!!!

oh and one other thing, Latinos who's ancestors came here legally and earned the right to vote, more power to you - I should have said illegal Latinos and their anchor babies. I hope who ever wins the race, has the forsight to understand the impact illegal immigrants have on our economy and hold corporate America responsible for causing this mess in the first place - if there is such a divide between Latinos and Blacks it because of corporate greed.

I was going to vote for hillary until she became deceptive on her vote for the iraq war.No more lies hillary and bill. I will not vote for someone who lies on daily bases. go obama.

The question is not (just) about whether Hillary supporters are anti-Black racists, though as a Mexicano I think we do have to engage this important question seriously as there is definitely an element of both conscious and unconscious anti-Black racism at play. However, while we need to address this, a more fruitful point of conversation is that we MUST NOT FORGET what the Clintons meant for Latinas/os and immigrants more broadly. It is under Clinton's watch that we saw a massive buildup of border militarization, anti-immigrant/anti-poor legislation across the board.
LATINAS/OS MUST REMEMBER WHAT THE CLINTONS MEANT, AND NOT GLORIFY A RETURN TO THAT!!!

I am a Latina and I am voting for Hillary! She is the best qualified candidate in the race with the best command of the issues. And I am tired of the media calling all Hillary supporters racist. The media hate Hillary and they are trying to depress her turnout.

I disagree that Latino's will go more towards Clinton. I live and work in Southern CA. A lot of my co-workers are Latino.
Not one of them said they were voting for Clinton, they all said they were voting for Obama. They want change just as much
As others in this country want change. Many of us are taking race out of the equation, and looking at issues that affect all
Citizens. The media has a tendency to always over sensationalize this issue. My family lives in a very diverse community.
My street, has black, white, Chinese, Mexican, and Cuban. We are all neighbors and get a long with each other
And look out for each other and each others children. If this country would stop dwelling on race so much, we would be better off.

In the New Hampshire debate, Obama said that all Latinos voted for him in Illinois. That is a very arrogant statement that may haunt him in the West. Hillary definitely has my vote because she has cared about us for many, many years.

This whole Black-Brown divide conversation portrays Latinos in a racist light. I'm a Latina woman and plan on voting for Obama. Ironically, my seven year old daughter sees no distinction between Blacks and Latinos. In her eyes, Obama is brown just like her daddy of Puerto Rican descent. Many HIspanics go out of the way to portray themselves as White. My seven year old is on to something: it doesn't matter how light or dark your skin is, Blacks and Latinos are viewed as minorities by mainstream America.....punto y se acabo. This reality should bring us together, not divide us.
