If Kilpatrick and his wife worked out this affair he 'now' regrets, then Kilpatrick should have testified exactly to that., under OATH as Kilpatrick WAS UNDER OATH. Obviously that didn't mean anything to either of Kilpatrick or Beatty. And his chief press secretary who committed the crime against his wife, and Kilpatrick stuck up for him, just goes to show what kind of people they really are. I would say Beatty is ashamed, devastated, and embarrased.........that she got caught.
It is inexcusable what they did to Mr. Brown, just because Kilpatrick and Beatty didn't want to have their affair exposed.

There was the stripper scandal mentioned in the article, the 20 Harley-Davidsons that were ordered for the police department that miraculously made their way into his own garage, and the numerous complaints of the abuse of his powers by his friends and cohorts. Unforunately, until the people of Detroit realize that despite the fact that Kilpatrick is a minority, HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO BE MAYOR. It's sad that people in that city continue to vote along party lines and for Kilpatrick simply because he is a democrat and African American.

KK is too immature, young, and wild to run the city of Detroit. Many of the citizens support the "rebel" in their politicians. Unfortunately, color still plays a big deciding factor who is going to be mayor of this predominantly black city. Sometimes even a black person acts too "white" just because they don't talk ghetto and act like a thug. I guess their just too "square" for his very hip-hop city! Last election they had better choices. They wanted Kool Kwame again! They had better choices but I think the people running were just not black enough. As for his "shortie", she's the one who was stopped by a cop and asked him "DO YOU KNOW WHO THE FUC* I AM!" That told me what she was when that hit the press. She's ghetto and obnoxious. She needs to stop down and so does KK. My prediction, he'll probably be voted in again! By the way, I'm not a stranger to Detroit. Born, raised near Detroit, worked there since 1969, opened a business and ran it for 20 years, and know many good people of influence in Detroit who were really sorry to seem him elected!

KK is too immature and inexperienced to be mayor of Detroit. I don't know why the people of Detroit couldn't realize that fact. I think it's because they support the "rebel" in KK just like they did with Mayor Coleman Young, who isolated Detroit from the suburbs. I believe it's because when they see an educated classy black politician who pronounces words as they should be pronounced that person is just not "black enough." It will be interesting to see the outcome of this fiasco. My prediction....you'll hear Detroit citizens, at least a fair amount, supporting him 100%!
