regardless of what kilpatrick did personally, he has moved detroit forward and continues to do so. this is no easy feat. detroit is a great city regardless of the bad publicity, its a beautiful place and has a lot of great people. so lets get over it and move forward not dwell on something that happened years ago

True it is a personal matter But it becomes impersonal when there are questionable actions for covering something "so personal". True everyone has wriiten past and present presidents are doing this But I ask How much more are we going to take before our great cities, counties and country become a hole of filth to which we all turn our heads all the while we let others sneek in our back doors and steal our freedoms. Soon we will all be wearing burqas in our own country and living some other way instead of the American way. Interigrity, Dignity and Strength is what we stand for not deceit and harm to one another. if it were ur wife or hubby and it cost u 9 million would u say it was a personal matter?

The City of Detorit pays for full time body guards for this jerk and yet he is continually trying to evade them...The taxpayers should pull these cops used a body guards, put them back on the street and the moron mayor would now be even more free to waste taxpayers meony on parties, vacation, trists, etc.

Not when you are abusing citizens tax dollars and that effects the lives of the children of Detroit!
If you are elected to office you have a legal repsonsiblility to use tax dollars wisely especially when money is short and you go to the citizens of Detroit and expect them to pay more money to pick up the garbage!
I guess Detroiters are so used to being treated like dirt they have lost all sense of normal decency!
This goes for the Detroit Board of Education who are just as corrupt using money to enjoy unnecessary trips and extravagant dinners while the children of Detroit have to go without school supplies, enough teachers etc.
But this dispicable mind set has been going on for soooooooooo long in Detroit it has become norm!
Very sad and very disgusted that the citizen of Detroit elected this arrogant sociopath for a second time but then again they did that with Bush too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't understand why everybody is so surprised by this. Kwame and Christine have both been "in your face" long before this event, which is just one more in a long string of misdeeds. Both of them have stood before the public and defied anyone to challenge them.
What does surprise me is the people wondering why the City is in such a mess. Wake up Detroit! The mayor has got his hand in your pocket and he's not going to be satisfied until he has it all.

This was a personal matter that never should have been reported. This is between him and his wife. EXCEPT, a person got fired for whistleblowing, allowed police to run amuck drunk in the city, and commited perjury (as I recall, AGAINST THE LAW). I dont care to hear about sexcapades in public office; I do care that politicians uphold the legal system, enforce proper police procedure, and the employment rights for his workers. For these reasons, this mayor should be prosecuted. "Some are more 'equal' than others"

This is a personal matter between him and his wife. Unfortunately somebody was fired, renegade police running amuck, and perjury was committed (from what I remember is ILLEGAL). A personal relationship is one thing, breaking the law and firing someone to cover it up is another; and for that he should be removed from office. Its not personal indescretions that is problematic, its the corruption of elected officials acting (and seemingly getting away with being) above the law.

Why is it when two people have sex and make false statements it is worse than a presidential administration whose 937 false statements got us into a war that is killing thousands of innocent American solidiers, and even more innocent Iraqis plus maiming for life these young men and woman?
People will say because they were under oath, well if I'm not mistaken, the president and vice president all take oaths as well (to protect the constitution is part of it..which the BushCo administration is now trashing) and no one's taken them to task on it...I don't see any impeachment or anyone including the media asking them to step down. HYPOCRITES?-

Dear "USpatriot" I for one will not hide my political "bias" behind supposed outrage over "False statements" ( all of which were "false" only because "hindsight is 20/20" and the "facts" that were assumed correct when acted upon by ALL parties ,Republican AND Democrats..ala Hilerly Clinton and Kerry , Nancy Pelosi etc. and THE MEDIA. turned out to be mistakenly accepted as a true picture of what problems we were facing as a nation.) I am a Republican and a conservitive BUT No Matter who is caught LYING under oath known a PURGERY, or Illegaly firing an employee -an act of abuse of power and conflict of interest, that person ( if we are desiring to be known as a civil society with fairness to all that PROTECTS the innocent - esspecially employees from being wrongfully victimized just for doing their JOBS) and if we want to be an example for our kids to look up to and emulate we need to prosicute ANY violators to the fullest extent of the law PERIOD...no matter what our personal POLITICAL tastes are!!!!!

Does he have the best of both worlds? (the women he has confessed undivided passion for and the other one who represents the ideal political family appearance that helps in the political arena).
My exspouse attempted to tear me down for years. When I woke up one day and took a tally of the benefits of being married to him and found none, I filed for a divorce. The humiliation of other women calling my home, the business trips I was never invited to attend, the home made personal sex video of him and other women in scenes that would make "Huslers" editors blush, the meaness and bitterness finally were enough for me to end the fascade.
