Clinton (Bill) WAS at one time a well-respected figure in American politics. All that has changed, particularly since Bush senior became his BFF. Even though he is an ex-convict (lying to federal grand jury, obstruction of justice, and even though he had his license to practice law stripped from him, and even though he no longer has public employees (Arkansas National Guard) running him to see his many "mistresses, even after Monica Lewinsky, Jennifer Flowers and a host of others, many Americans still supported him. That has changed, it has changed because he became an attack dog for his wife's failed campaign. He has, and continues to, insert the issue of race on a daily basis in a misguided attempt to bolster his wife, who joins in her her husband's divisive tactics. The first words he spoke after his wife's dismal loss yesterday: Well, you know Jesse Jackson won SC in 1988: another blatant attempt to inject racism. It was like saying, "A black man won before; it's no big deal."
And their thinly veiled attempt to play "Good Cop - Bad Cop" fooled no one.

Bill Clinton has been reduced to a pathetic figure unable to complete a sentence without a reference to himself. It is a sorry sight. I am an African-American and at one time I campaigned for Bill. It is sad commentary on his lack of character and makes me feel as though I was duped in the past by his display of racial blindness. Too bad to see that Hillary has adopted this same posture.

SC won by Obama told us black people are more racial than white people. Howcome 80% black people voted for him instead of the guy who fought all her life for the civil rights. That's why Hispanics and other minority group won't support Obama. Because they don't trust black leader.

    • Posted By: washington29 @ 01/28/2008 9:09:27 AM

Actually, Obama won Greenville SC which is 79% White. Secondly, he won 50 % of the white votes between ages 18-30 years of age.

THE CLINTON"S ARE JUST TO polarizing. Too many scandals, to many investigations. I do not believe they are guilty in all those scandals I just believe AMERICA needs a change from the establishment. We do not need a years worth of divisive campaigning. IT would be amazing to see McCain vs OBAMA. A GOOD CLEAN HEAVY WEIGHT FIGHT. NO ONE GETS THEIR EAR BIT OFF. A ROMNEY CAMpaign would be just like BUSH'S very divisive and full of lies. IF AMERICA CHOOSES THESE TWO CANDIDATES to represent their respective parties then I think the AMERICAN political process can begin to heal and set an example to the rest of the world. WHAT KIND OF MESSAGE ARE WE SENDING IRAQIS and AFGHANS. IF we promote racial divide why shoud they give us the benefit of the doubt concerning ABU GRADE and BLACK WATER. ARE WE REALLY RACIST CAN IT BE THAT THE CLINTON"S ARE A REFLECTION OF OUR SOCIETY. DIVIDE people so we the CLINTON'S can attain the power we are entitled too and so rightfully deserve after my conduct in the OVAL OFFICE. No one else is capable of being president. I will become nasty and play the race card because the "MEDIA" is trying to take away the presidency from me and my wife.

A simple test.. . . . If you don't feel you are a racist or sexist person, then ask yourself this question. What if George Bush was Black? Or a woman? How would you characterize the past 7 years then?

  • Posted By: EHUMBLE @ 01/28/2008 2:00:45 AM

The rest of the "free" world is laughing at us right now. We haven't seen a more eloquent and intelligent group of democrats running for president in YEARS. Let's all just do a little research and vote for the best person to run the country. STOP being racist, biased, uninformed and narrow minded. Fear grips this country like a 6 year old holding on for dear life as his mother drops him off on 1st day of kindergarten.

Barak Obama is both white and black. That is his X factor. Unfortunately, it looks as though Latino's will vote for Hillary three to one.

The only way OBAMA can gain ground in the Latino community is through advertising. He needs to participate in a commercial which emphasizes UNITY. This commercial will emphasize his MOM in the beginning. Then it will show five couples, one Asian, Indian, Black, Latino and White. These couples should be crowded around OBAMA thanking him for bringing them together and expressing their trust in his health care, education and justice system reform plans. These issue bring the LATINO and AFRICAN AMERICANS TOGETHER. AT the end a simple statement,
TOGETHER WE CAN CONQUER ANY OBSTACLE AND ACHIEVE ANY SOLUTION (eddiewhere2008) . This commercial should be blitzed across T.V. screens in America for the next couple of weeks. IN EVERY STATE OBAMA campaigns in, he should organize marches of unity which inlude all RACES and AGES. THE THEME should be UNITY -a solid solution to the DIVISIVE ISSUES WHICH CAUSE RACIAL TENSION. A COMMERCIAL should be made of these MARCHES. IT'S MAIN MESSAGE WILL BE THAT OBAMA CAN BRING ALL RACES ALL AGES TOGETHER to fix racial divisions. He has to show America how he can UNITE the NATION. I think every parent enjoys watching their child work with others to find solution to problems.
IF enough Latino's see this commercial and understand the message of unity they might give OBAMA a chance. Do not forget pictures are worth a thousand words and in this case, these commercials will be worth thousands of votes. Latino's feel they can economically improve their future with HILLARY's plan.

IT will be extremely diffiult for Obama to garner this vote unless he can show his economic plan will benefit the Latino community more than Hillary's. HILLARY IS being specific about the ramifications of her agenda on the Latino community. OBAMA has not been specific enough. The Latino's have no idea what OBAMA's economic plan is and how it affects them.

Caroline Kennedy has endorsed OBAMA. She is is good judge of character. Hopefully her uncle and Mr. Gore follow suit.

  • Posted By: eddiewhere @ 01/28/2008 1:33:00 AM

OBAMA is both black and white. Hillary vs. any Republican candidate would be very divisive and could cause the democrats to lose the WHITE HOUSE. OBAMA is a SURE win on the national level against any Republican candidate. All polls support this fact. If Latino's feel that Hillary could lose nationally they might cast their vote for OBAMA. NO ONE wants another republican in power at this juncture in AMERICAN HISTORY.

Can we put the whole pledge of allegiance (among other nasty rumors) thing to rest. Please look at the following. Or look it up yourself.

I have a comment about the Rezko thing. I'm not from Illinois but I've known about the Rezko thing for over a year. Why are we only hearing about it now from Hillary? It's not as if she pulls her punches after all. The truth is she got desperate. Plain and simple.

  • Posted By: ralana @ 01/27/2008 10:46:29 PM

Yeah, I thought I was going to vote for Clinton but, now I am having serious doubts. Seeing the way President Clinton is campaigning anyone would think he is the one running for president. I think his actions will ultimately sabotage Hillary's chance to the White House. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see any of the other candidates spouses campaigning. President Clinton is making it seem like he and Hillary are both running for the White House.

Obama's comment about creating a green engine that can drive growth for many years to come definitely scores points with me. Unlike any Republican, unlike the economic gurus that work for Newsweek, Obama recognizes the multi-trillion dollar potential in green technology. I will admit I'm biased. I have some stock in solar energy companies, but so does Cal-STRS. Nevertheless, in addition to retire California school teachers, green technology and renewable energy has the potential to bring properity to billlions of people throughout the world. (It will also put terrorists like al-Qaeda, out of business once and for all.) Obama represents a vision of the future that only John Edwards can match

I know that there are masters of deception out there, who takes our greatest fears and use them against us. Why! Because they can always depend on that when they can???t depend on nothing else; it???s the best tool they have to control us. Yes, race and hate has always been our worst and biggest enemy even though we try to down play it. It???s like the art of war, divide and conquer. Because when they hate each other they know we will never talk to each other, just look at Israel and Palestine. It???s time for the people of this country to get together and talk to each other in order to help our country survive the intentional harm that was cause to it by those of immoral greed. Let???s not squabble like kids, let women be women???s and men be men???s; and lets support the new kid on the block who has no previous baggage and home boys who are looking for favors once they are elected. Bill Clinton has a long line of cronies who are rubbing their greedy little hands together to the opportunity of him reentering the White House. Now he may not have a hundred percent influence over his wife Hillary, but lets not be naive, because he will have about 33% persuasiveness over her for sure. She owes him that much for sure and he is working dam hard in her campaign for it. And believe me, his cronies knows that even better then us. Let???s put this young dude in the White House, he needs us more then we need him. And we must always understand the truth and that is one man can???t straighten out the faith of a nation when we all F it up.

For Democrats, it's generally considered a gamble to go with the more 'inspiring' candidate (e.g. Obama), as opposed to the traditional Washington insider (e.g. Clinton). This election seems to be unique in that the Democrats would be taking a much bigger risk by going with the establishment candidate. Hillary Clinton, if she receives the nomination, would go into the general election with the highest negative ratings of any presidential candidate in the history of scientific polling. It's a telling sign of ego that the Clintons just refuse to let go, even for the sake of their party. In any case, this situation stirs mixed feelings among Republicans, in that they would much prefer an Obama presidency than a Hillary White House, even though the latter is much closer to their viewpoints, especially on foreign policy, than is the former. But when all is said and done, a Hillary nomination would be much better for the conservative movement than would an Obama nomination, in that the general election would play itself out in two possible scenarios: a.) The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy unites ferociously to defeat Lady MacBeth; or - b.) Hillary actually wins it, and perpetuates many of the same policies as the Republicans (i.e. a hawkish foreign policy, a corporate-friendly Washington, etc, etc.). In other words, a Hillary nomination wouldn't really be a win for liberals, just a lesser degree of losing.

Has anyone seen or heard of a 527, Right Wing, grainy, black and white, slow motion ad showing Barack snorting lines of cocaine? The image grows dark as the camera zooms into one of his pupils and an image of him speaking to school children fills the screen with a foreboding voice-over saying: Barack Hussein Obama: Inspiring America's Children?

Is this true? I hope Barack can inoculate himself from what the swift boat producers have prepared for the general election. Maybe the Clinton's are doing us a favor by prepping him for these kinds of attacks.

The other ad is of Barack buying cocaine from a dealer in a dark alley. The ad is grainy and black and white. The scroll across the screen: "Barack Hussein Obama Preparing Himself to Lead the United States"

If these ads are proven to exist, Hillary should denounce them and Barack should challenge them to be shown! Let's not have another Kerry episode! We need to be united against these tactics! It was admirable for Barack to admit to taking Cocaine and it???s a testament to his inner strength that he was able to stop doing drugs on his own!

I think you got the facts wrong from the mud slinging media. The problem is that majority of the time the media puts out sound bites that are untruthful. Most people are so gullible and lazy that they believe everything they see on tv/media and hear on the ads without verifying the facts for themselves just like believe in every e-mail that comes across their way. This is a mud slinging tactic and Barack didn't use cocaine. He used marijuana that was popular back in the 60s and 70s era of the Vietnam war. In his book it was marijuana.

How can we not be inspired by a candidate like Senator Obama!!! He envisions a future of everyone working together for the greater good...he envisions our highest ideals, as well as the more mundane and practical aspects of life! I've never been so inspired and so driven to vote for that future that Senator Obama describes!! He's uplifted people and I don't think that race or gender are a part of this. Listen to his victory speech in Carolina and tell me that you are not inspired and then listen to Hillary Clinton's speech in Tenn, given shortly after and you'll be able to discern the difference....it's HUGE!!!! Senator Obama draws the audience in, very much like JFK, and the future becomes this world of possibilities. He has the unique ability that very few people possess...to inspire, rally and then proceed to action. He's not unrealistic, his upbringing has taught him not to be, but sees the best that can be and believes that reaching for that best is within everyones capability.....I'm sold and "YES WE CAN!!!!!!!

We all you have to look at is IOWA. 90% of the support for Obama came from WHITE folks like you and I. Do you think the other 2% black voted for Hillary??? come on get real!! My friend you must accept the facts that times are changing. Sorry but racesism is dying... He not only received the black vote in SC..My two sister who are white voter for him and they both mention that at her home town rallies she saw more white faces than black..This all the proof you need. Further more they saw lots of white college studens wich comfirms what we are saying the new generation is color blind. You may do a huge favor to our American people tell them to stop the ignorance once and for all. PS also the peolpe that voted for Borack were not poor either incase you were drowing conclusions.

A WHITE WOMEN FOR BARACK OBAMA

  • Posted By: Be- Real @ 01/27/2008 4:50:30 PM

Mr.Obama would make the best leader, It will send a message to the world that the Americans have turned the page to a more radically refreshing and liberal political dispensation. However it is very sad to see why people love to join the bandwagon of those that win all the time. It is known as like a form of coalescence to success. Mr Obama must hold firm and not be swayed by all these prominenet dems that rally around him, why didn't they do it last year. This form of patronisation is not fair as does not level the playing field.

  • Posted By: Mrs.Leonard @ 01/27/2008 4:34:36 PM

Im sorry to let you all know that Im a white Women who voted for Borack..My two white sister vote for Borack Obama. My sisters both attended two rallies and they both said they saw lots of white folks. So lets stop this non-sense about the race issue..WHATS THE IOWA EXCUSE???only all white men voted for Hillary or is it beacuse Hillary received 2% of the black...Lets get real people...times a re changing and we need to stand together and not be so dumm about this issue. Give this issue a rest is not going to solve nothing!!! BUT whats really going to happen if we dont stop a REPUBLICAN will be in the White house soon!!!!! In regards to the Clintons, I lost so much respect for them. If you think they are honest you are really dreaming!!! They play nasty tactis. Im sorry if Hillary was a true leader she will stand up and tell Bill to shut-up. She has not and im sorry that is not presidential. Its simple my fellow democrats if you want the same old dis honest Washington go ahead and vote for Hillary!!!! Nothing will get done with all the cat fights. We need to stand united as a strong party and stand firmly with Obama..He will be someone hard to beat in the general election Republicans are so scare beause if he Obama wins the primary he will be in a well position to be the next president. The reason for this he has such an amazing following in both all parties.. In order to win this election you have to chip away some republicans to your side and convince Independents that you are the one, this is somehting Obama has done!!! Hillary has not..How shes going to win the general election is she cant barely get all the votes, folks thats reality!! Lets wake up America..The republicans so dearly want Hillary to win, reason being the Obama democratic vote will go to McCain, the independent vote will go to McCain and Republicans will not vote for her..Again folks this is real.
