Osama Bin Laden is dead! Most people know about it, so enough lies and get working on healing this planet instead of messing it up further!

Osama BinLaden is dead! Enough lies please! Use power and money to "heal" this planet, not betray it!

Osama Bin Laden is better a ghost hiding in a cave. With him dead he becomes a hero. He is better left as a UFO hiding in area 52.

If we wanted Bin Laden, we'd have Bin Laden. Why is it that we are keeping him alive?? Is it because as long as he is alive, and supposedly being pursued, that we are able to justify this supposed 'war on terror'?
I hope our next President is actually interested in stopping terrorists, and not just interested in using terrorism as an excuse to invade countries to make money. Wake up America, there's a whole chapter missing from this story.

      Dear Friends:
Youth of America the inexperience militarily and government he is new is to the advantage of Osam Bin Laden. bin Laden knows this and is striking out for the youth around the world. Hitler did this also.

Sadly the hold of the state of Saudi Arabia and their leaders will keep Osama Bin laden alive and well for time to come. Although Bin laden is a sore in the royal familys butt and they have officially revoked his citizenship, Osama Bin laden alive and in charge of Qaeda does two things.
It keeps order in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia because the radical Wabasabi Muslims grant the Royal family power in the Kingdom. With Osama dead at the hands of Americans the possibility terrorist acts or civil war in the in the Kingdom is a real possibility.
The justification of the war and occupation of Arab land is based on fear. Bush and his bunch need a boogie man to keep the American people in a state of fear.

What ever happened to covert operations carried out by the CIA and other government "black" organizations?
I remember the good old days when operatives were sent to a country to eliminate a ruling leader to further democracy. Our country has become weak because of bleeding heart liberals and the ridiculous ideals of these people that the US should be the "goody two shoe" poster child for other countries to follow. Resume these operations, and continue the interrogations in the manner they are were meant to be. Put the fear into our enemies again.

Afganistan, Iraq, and Pakistan is the unfinished business of the civilized world. This being obvious, the entira world should build three powerful military bases in that area, one maritime and two land based. One such base should be somewhere in Basra, away from Iran's border. The other should be in Mosul, and the last one in Kandahar. With adequate leadership such bases should be ordered by a UN resolution as vital to world peace!

We must seekout all the Al-Qaeda leaders and Jihadists. President Bush has brought them out for the world to see, people might not agree with our President. Weather we chose to fight them or not, they will always want to kill us. So I say, create 8 to 10 men, willing to fight for our freedom. Seekout the Jihadists, no matter what country they are in. Their message states that tthey are coming, our message to them should be. We are coming to seek and destroy them.

I have a great suggestion, why doesn't the CIA recruit distraught Iraqi's and Afghani's that have a score to settle with Al-Qaeda and their henchmen. They could supply these recruits with their own suicide jackets and send them to Al-Qaeda training camps under the pretense of joining the jihad. Once they are in the camps they could detonate the suicide bombs and give the jihadists a taste of their own medicine.

BUT, I think that leaving would make things worse. Everytime we kill an insugent it's one less that can plot on us and possibly fly an airplane into a huge building full of people. Terrorists are just that, regardless of thier nationality, or creed. Leaving would provide a training ground void of any opposition, it's fairly obvious that the regular Iragi army as well as the Afghan Army either won't or can't beat the bad guys. So who's going to do it? My kids? Maybe, if thats what has to be done. Also, I know that people have the right to say what they want in our country, i'm not debating free speech, i'm debating the validity of whats being said by people who have no experience in what they're talking about. a thank you.

Mr. Reid: Know this, EVERYTHING owned by the Marine Corps was appropriated to them from U.S. taxpayer dollars (or IOUs to the Red Chinese, et. al.) for the express purpose of providing for the "common defense" of our fine country and the citizens here, including those who don't agree with you. You took an oath to uphold the Constitution, written by our Founding Fathers, that guaranteed the rights of all citizens, to speak freely and participate in our government - REGARDLESS of whether they personally served or not. Those rights were deemed to be inalienable, that all men were created equal. Freedom is like a three-legged stool. The military, as one leg, is important, but it cannot create nor sustain freedom by itself. Why do you think the Founding Fathers were so careful to put the military under civilian control via the President, and that appropriations would come by the elected officials of Congress?

Want a big clue? It is never going to be over. If you are college age, then maybe you just don't have the years of experience to see it. Iran used to be our ally, a very good ally - until the revolution. We were in really tight with Saudi Arabia - not after 9/11. Even if you maintain some kind of peace there, the chance that it will last and create a permanent pro-U.S. government is a trillion to one. If you won't be fighting it, your kids will.

The terrorists' main complaint is they want us out of their lands. I say, why not? If we left, maybe a few of them would still go on about wanting to convert the world to a militant version of Islam, but it would take the wind out of their sails. As long as people there feel that they have no real say in their government, or that the government of "freedom" is a fake, "installed" by the U.S. and doesn't really represent them, then we provide further fuel to the fire for the resentment they feel that they have no control over their own government.
It would be a lot smarter to take all of the money that we have spent on both wars and invest it into building infrastructure and rebates for people to drive alternative fuel cars. If we are energy independent, then we won't need to keep pouring money down a sinkhole project of trying to stabilize these regions.

P.S. I do appreciate and thank veterans for their service, but that service does not trump the U.S. Constitution. It is supposed to support and protect it and the citizens here.

I welcome your criticism, I am a college student , I never claimed to know how to spell every single word in the English language, and I promise to never misspell the same word twice. In response to your tantalizing comments Kincaid ( Liberal) I am quite smug, My unit helped to bring freedom to a people who have never experienced it, and if we leave before it's over will never experience it again. I helped to support the first
elections in the history of a nation, and bring democracy, the same kind you take for granted everyday, to a region of the world where it isn't a bad thing to rape little boys and girls or " honor" kill women, so that other people, not just spoiled brats like yourself can have a little taste of the good life. Hows that sit with you?
So yes, I am a bit smug, even proud you might say to be an American that did something good for the world.
Shame on me. Question, Do your values and moral compass shift with the political tides and biddings of the main stream media? Do you preach tolerance yet have none? Do you picket and protest at dead Marines funerals? You sound like the type that would Kincaid. Know this, every single thing that you know, love, cherish, or admire, EVERYTHING you own, down to the shoe laces on your feet was given to you as gift by the United States Military. No amount of whining, or complaining, no amount of liberal left wing nut job bs rhetoric, no amount of gold or other currency can ever buy freedom, only steel and blood can, and if you don't like that, write to Ted Kennedy, maybe you two can cry on each others shoulders.

Wow. I always thought that we the people were enabled to create the country in which we live. I didn't realize that so many people wanted to live in a Marxist country. The "love it or leave it" attitude is absurd and just goes to show that you are brain washed. Your argument is equivalent to "I know you are but what am I."

Isn't it funny how all the left leaning nutjobs love to criticize our president and our country. While i agree we would most likely be better off if we had not gotten into the Iraqi mess, we are there, and should finish what we started. Most of you leftys have conveniently omitted the words of the Lone CIA agent that interviewed Saddam for the last seven months of his life. In case you missed it, Saddam spoke of misleading the entire world about having WMDs. And Saddam did not believe we would actually invade... So you all know where you can shove your "Bush lied" bumper stickers. You are entitled to your opinions, no matter how misguided you are, but if it is so bad here in the USA, there are plenty of other places you can live... Of course in the vast majority of those places you won't have the freedom of speech you have here..... But that is the rub, isn't it?

Hopefully bin laden will be found and executed someday. That's all that I care about.

Whether you like Bush or not, idiotic anti-Americans ripping on the President of the United States, he is our President and should be respected. If you don't like our President, move to Canada or something.

Lookit! I criticized jreid's spelling and then screwed up "mantra," myself! Bwa-hahahahaha!

Anyway, jreid, We the People have sacrificed a lot in the last eight years, so we've "earned," one might argue, the right to criticize Bush. We've sacrificed habeas corpus, the 4th Amendment right against unreasonable searches, thousands, if not millions, of good jobs, healthcare, an entire geographic region of the country (Katrina-ville) and last, but not least, the world's good opinion of our once-great nation. In Bush's term, gasoline prices have more than doubled, crime has gone up, as have teen pregnancies as well as infant and maternal post-partum mortality. Our infrastructure is in a shambles, people are losing their homes and No Child's Behind Left has made a shambles of our educational system. The chickens are coming home to roost on Bush's blue-smoke-and-mirrors "economic miracle." Older Americans are getting their retirements eaten alive in a stock market comprised more of fraud than substance.

So pardon me, please, jreid, if I take a little umbrage at your smug, self-satisfied assertion that the American people haven't "earned" the right to criticize the worst president in American history (including Harding, which is REALLY saying something) just because they haven't killed any brown people in a foreign land. After all, we hired out the slaughter, willingly or un-, and we all have to deal with the consequences.

  • Posted By: BobKincaid @ 01/28/2008 10:58:40 AM

Um, Jreid17? The military apparently taught you something, but spelling wasn't it. It's "bigot," and what jd2113 said doesn't fall under that rubric.

Secondly, no matter how hard you try, no matter how many right-wing matras you chant, OBL simply does not,, cannot qualify as "one of the most vicious peoiple in history." To so assert proves a profound lack of knowledge of history. George W. Bush, your apparent hero, for instance, has the blood of far more civilians on his hands than OBL. The Roman Catholic Church has killed far more people, far more viciously, than OBL ever will. Ghengis Khan worked the street where OBL lives and did so with vastly more viciousness. Alexander the Great slaughtered with much more abandon in that corner of the world.

Finally, whether you like it or not, the Iraqupation IS Bush's fault. It was a war he chose to make. He and his administration told a documented total of 935 lies in the run-up to his war on the people of Iraq. While I'm sure you haven't heard about that study on Phlush Phlegmball or Hannity-job or Falafel O'Reilly, it remains nonetheless documented and unassailable.

Enjoy the last year of Bush's bloody reign. Thankfully, it must come to an end, and not a moment too soon.

My husband served and earned a bronze star for his efforts in Iraq. He was proud to serve and noted the good works that were happening there. However, I don't think it can be denyed that there were more immediate threats to the United States than Iraq. And he would have been equally proud to serve in efforts better focused. Our family is a proud military family with many members in various branches of service. But, we don't serve blindly and silently.
