I am continually amazed at the stupidity and ignorance of the general public. The majority of these comments only serve to ram your stupidity down everyone else's throats. I see absolutely nothing wrong with being 5'5" and a size 8. There is absolutely something wrong with being 5'9" and a size 0. Too skinny or grossly obese --it is all revolting. The fact that the yahoos posting these comments are incapable of utilizing proper grammar and spelling is revolting as well.

well put. I have been steaming from the ignorance.

either extreme is unhealthy. the attractive part isn't really the most important thing - and if it was, then that's where opinion comes in.

nothing wrong with size 6 models.

It is about time that real women become the icon for what little girls should expect to look like when they are grown. We are chubby and we like it!

    • Posted By: dsccfm22 @ 01/30/2008 3:20:34 PM

Wow...promoting being unhealthy to young, impressionable children to serve your own selfish motives. Way to go.

    • Posted By: ritapita74 @ 01/28/2008 2:39:22 PM

Acutally, I would not want my little girl to be "chubby". While I am not stick thin, I am a healthy thin which still supersedes "chubbiness", fat, and obesity. Being stick thin is not healthy, but neither is being chubby. It saddens me that our society, with input from individuals such as yourself, are making it okay to be overweight.

      • Posted By: krystalcare @ 01/28/2008 3:14:48 PM

I don't think that you should worry about that. You are the key to your childs outcome. Being average is ok. Some people aren't lucky to be the ideal weight that everyone expects. Some have health issues and others just have a lower metabolism. If you think negativley, it will reflect on your child.

        • Posted By: sabbott13 @ 01/30/2008 2:24:06 PM

Is average ok when the majority of America is obese? Although your DNA plays a role in everyone's health, it is not an excuse for being overweight. To hear people use works like 'lucky" or conversly being "stuck with" weight annoys me, as we can mold our bodies greatly, even though it may not be the ideal figure mentioned above.

      • Posted By: hmsuzy @ 01/28/2008 2:50:22 PM

Define cubby? The average woman is not a size 2 or 4. If real sized people are going to be used, fine. I believe the word missing from most "fashion models" is balanced. At what point are young girls exposed to being healthy, but it is ok to have curves.

  • Posted By: akttmommy @ 01/30/2008 1:54:08 PM

Um...nice try, but 5'9" 250 lbs. is not going to cut it!!! I don't care how you slice it, or dice it (no puns intended) a tall slender woman or man is always going to be the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye...period!!! Let's face it, if any overweight person had to the choice to with a touch of a wand have the body of a supermodel, I am sure they would seize the opportunity!! As far as men go, trust me coming from a woman who knows many men, they don't like fat women, and they are not attracted to a fat body, just like many women are not attracted to fat men... And, yes there are a few out there that have legitimate medical reasons why they are overwieght, but the majority are just victims of their own gluttony...

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:18:35 PM

      aw that's sad.

well, hon, there are people out there who would go for the fat person first. it's a matter of taste. whatever unfortunate surroundings you've been influenced by didn't do it. learn some things on your own.

    • Posted By: cslsx4tish @ 01/30/2008 2:14:02 PM

I too think you got this all wrong! Who ever said that size 0 is healthier that size 8! Real people are not all over weight. But seeing a beautiful woman in size 8 or even 10 looks like she is healthy and not suffering from some sort of eating disorder! With personal experience as a model, most of the time those really little ones were unhealthy! A real women with curves in all the right places in better than a flagpole anyday!!!!

    • Posted By: katewise @ 01/30/2008 1:58:15 PM

Am sorry you got that all very wrong. I am a very attractive slender I mean slim woman with all the curves a woman may need but beleive me the men I have dated all want a woman with a little more skin than I do. Atleast not to term me fat but a little soft and tender when mating not bones and squeezing. beleive me I know what am talking about

  • Posted By: jhelms13 @ 01/30/2008 1:54:41 PM

I have to agree with georgina6_pink - I am 5'10'' and weigh 150 - I run marathons, compete in triathlons, and count my calories - i am no size 2 but i am no size 14 either. Healthy is beautiful. I fought a battle with an eating disorder in college and became 'scary skinny' - and while people said i looked great. i felt terrible because i was unhealthy. Maybe America as a nation needs to step back and re-evaluate its perception of beauty. I would rather see a marathoner than a fashion model - at least a marathoner has actually accomplished something besides starving themselves. Healthy is sexy and beautiful.

    • Posted By: paulbuttenhoff @ 01/30/2008 2:00:59 PM

5 ten and 150 is fat darling, deal with it. you probably run a marathon over the course of a week with a series of 12 hour breaks between the runs. was writing all of that exertive for you?

      • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:17:23 PM

        lol you're a guy

actually, I have more to say than just how pathetic it is that some guy needs to validate his self esteem by attempting to insult a young girl. either gay, post-sex-change, or never had a date, right?

        aren't assumptions adorable and funny?

also, female weight is different. a 5'10" girl could be a size 2 at 150lbs if they are muscular. but as a healthy person, I'm sure you know this, right? because I'm sure you're muscular and fit....

        lol

  • Posted By: lovegemininyc@yahoo.com @ 01/30/2008 1:54:54 PM

I've worked in this industry and I think what they mean by real people is not models...They don't mean unhealthy fat people. Most of t hese models are unusually tall and thin and can't live natural healthy lives and still look the way they do. I think the idea of healthy fit models instead of stick giants is a good trend.

Some of these girls say they eat and are natually so thin and I'm sure some are, but most of them don't eat, smoke heavily, use cocaine , and even purge and starve themselves. I think strong healthy fit models like Brooke Sheilds was would be a healthy image.

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:15:08 PM

fantastic! yes, I was worried that everyone seems to think that by "normal" they mean fat.

  • Posted By: I'mABigDeal @ 01/30/2008 1:55:44 PM

I think that you should take pride in what you look like. If you are fat or overweight you are a complete disgrace to our country. I think it is sad that the average size is a 12/14. Sick. My daughter will not know what it is like to not be able to wear designer clothes because she is too fat, she will not know what it feels like to have people look at her funny because she wabbles when she walks, she will not know what it feels like to have health problems related to being overwieght. Unfortunately immage is everything, it matters what you wear, what you drive, where you live, who you associate with, your appearance and where you work... It is important to teach your kids these things and live this way, because like it or not, that is how our country has brought itself to be.

    • Posted By: KYwildcat28 @ 01/30/2008 3:13:55 PM

I am fortunate my immediate family does not have issues with obesity. However, if it was an issue, I would never in a a thousand years advise my child that "image is everything" and that life is less wonderful if your physical self is not made in the proper image for designer clothes. You seem to have some true issues and a distorted take on reality. Wait.... it appears that reality means nothing to you. "Image" is the name of the game. Why don't you discuss 'image" with some of the individuals who purchased homes beyond their means that are now facing forclosure. "Image" would also be great discussion topic for those facing bankruptcy due to major credit card debt acquired while attempting to create and maintain their "image". You state in another post that your daughter is two years old. At age two children cannot run very fast. She will be lucky when she is a bit older and more co-ordinated. Perhaps she will acquire lightning speed so that she can run away from you.

    • Posted By: azmomma @ 01/30/2008 2:33:23 PM

Wow while I agree that I would not want my kids to be overweight simply because it is unhealthy, your reply disgusted me. You my dear are what is wrong with our society. While you are teaching your children how to be pretty and have an expensive house and car, I will be teaching mine how to be truly great people. People who are honest and don't judge others based on what they have or look like, people who go out of their way to help one in need, people who use their minds and God given gifts to change the world for the better, people who your broken children will come to when they realize that what their mother taught them is important and means nothing at all. I hope that your empty life soon causes you to look for meaning...

Fat girls are always sick if they see someone skinny, however if there were fries and a shake walking down the runway they would be happy and say hum now that's what I wanna see. Suck it up and put that girdle on.

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:13:42 PM

wait...I think I finally figured out what you were attempting to say. it was so idiotically put I had a lot of trouble.

no, skinny girls aren't cannibals silly.

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:12:52 PM

lol we should meet for coffee, where do you stay?

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:12:24 PM

also...just since your comment was so "special" - overweight people don't just gain weight in their stomache. if they did, maybe they could just put on a girdle and they'd feel fabulous or whatnot.

I really do want you to address this to people in real life. it would be adorable to see a fat person get a good workout beating your ignorant face in. then everyone would be happy!

you'd be happy cause a fat person got excercise, and I'd be happy because you'd look a lot better with a smushed in nose.

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:10:20 PM

seriously - the problem isn't just "fat". short people have trouble modeling as well. double post, yes, maybe one of them will make sense to you.

go tell your fat loved ones how much youhate them now.

      go.

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:09:28 PM

      lol what?

first of all, I'm short, not fat, and I don't like fries.

I do hope you're a model, you're too ignorant to make it any other way :(

  • Posted By: A Pin-up Queen @ 01/30/2008 3:11:46 PM

Well, i don't now what happened to my comment... I had said : The waif model has NEVER been attractive! Calvin is dispiccable and should be sued for the damage he has done to the poor young girls with no self esteem who are addicted to bulemia and worship anorexia, by making his models look like little boys bc he's queer. WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE CURVY!!! Celebrate your goddess figure! Venus of Waldorf! Rubens! LOOK at the amazing art in our history. I say wear what makes you feel good about yourself and flaunt your confidence and BEAUTY!!! The avg size for women is 12/14, not 3/4. Remember, that's what Marilyn Monroe was(12/14)! And for all of you contributing to the sad obese stats... for crying out loud START LOVING YOURSELF! Did the Greeks, Romans or Natives indulge in processed food and grease? NO! Try wine, fruit, grains, and game. The human body was not designed to hold that much weight. Why do your knees hurt? Hmmm? As for depression, how about exercise? It is THEEEE #1 cure for depression AAAANND it releases the same feel good chemical in your brain as during sexual activity. YES WE LOVE SEROTONIN! So get off yer ass and LOVE YOURSELF! Do something that makes YOU feel awesome about YOU! At least get yourself off and change your own chemistry. Like I said LOVE THYSELF! Don't waste your life following superficial trends or becoming Jabba the Hut. What's hot and fashionable is being healthy, exercising, eating well, feeling good, and being happy. What is your perfect look and weight? I'm 5'3", 31,163 lbs (which is mostly leg muscle, a little chub which I'm proud to say IS finally diminishing) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my body! I am curvy, sexy, have a gorgeous derrierre, toned arms, elegant shoulders, CUUUUURRRRRVY legs and I have 13 years of ballet to thank for that when I was younger. OH, and ladies, you gotta try belly dancing. You will feel SOOO sexy, get in touch with your inner goddess, develop RIDICULOUS curves and oblique muscles, plus, the more rolls of chub, the hotter. Get off your butts and go DANCE! ENJOY LIFE!!! It is waaaaayyyy too short. GOD BLESS! Be happy. Always put yourself FIRST! YOU, YOU, YOU are the most imortant person in your life! Have a splendid day! ;)

Whats wrong with you people? they are trying to sell a product no the woman wearing it.Who would buy a product modeled by Rosie O. or Roseann B. if it made you look like them? If you have a fat kid its your fault, what happened to PE in school, too much work for the parents? We went to PE 3 times a week no excuses and everyone was in a sport, some excelled and some just worked out but we got excercise in a controlled setting and no can say it was not good for us.Parents get off your butt, thin may not be beautiful but fat is reallly not something you want to be,plus its not healthy for you or you kid. You need to go to the YMCA and look at some of the female instructors,Healthy strong and good looking ,not too thin and not Overweight, just healthy.

    • Posted By: dsccfm22 @ 01/30/2008 3:11:27 PM

Exactly. People are forgetting this is about MODELS. They are MODELS for a reason. The advertisers /designers know that "normal" people will not sell. Simple fact. They are marketing an ideal. Those of you that think this is going to change because a few fat , oops I mean "curvy", people have low self-esteem are a bit delusional. You want "average" looking models? Go check out the Lane Bryant catalog.

redragongirl, I don't think the Chinese see fat as a beauty standard anymore. You're about 100 years out of date.

i'm not sure what you mean--my spelling was fine--there were some small errors such as the fact that i spelled 'and' with two a's by accident and do not capitalize my i's but that isn't a big deal; maybe you're mistaken? IDK but whatever it was that you were reffering to is not my problem, it is obviously bothering you though...

I dont understand why people think runway models should be models. They are anorexic, they have no boobs AT ALL , no ass not even a little bit, and tall as giraffe. I dont think thats sexy at all!!! And most girls that I see just on a everyday basis are way prettier than these "Runway Models". Yea average height of these girls are 5'3 and 110 -120 pounds, may not be amazon enough for these fashion people but this is really normal!!!! I would be considered TOO FAT to model and im only 108 pounds! its gross these runway girls are not pretty most of them time.! Just like that joke of show hosted by Tyra Banks Americas Next Model--they have had some of the ugliest girls on there!!!! its like damn I got some friends that should be on that show!

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:06:57 PM

it's only what they want men to think they want

  • Posted By: reddragongirl @ 01/30/2008 3:05:57 PM

I find all this everyone is saying here very funny. We all have our own opinions on what is beautiful. I myself prefer to be thin, but I am an athlete. I am not super thin, I have bulk. I rather not see the super fat people everywhere. Especially the ones that think they should wear the short shorts and mid drift shirts and let all that fat and rolls hang out. That is nasty. A size 14 can be sexy, in the right clothes. A size 20 can be sexy, in the right clothes.

There are men that rather a little extra. There are men that rather stick thin. It is all in the eye of the beholder. Ever hear of that saying people?

Take a look at other cultures. In China and other countries, to be fat is a sign of wealth. It shows how can afford all the food. Greece would have food orgies where they sat around for hours and did nothing but eat and have sex. The skinny ones were servants that were not allowed to eat much. The food was reserved for the royalty and wealthy. Take a look at history. My husband reminds me all the time, when I say I think I am fat, about how the skinny women were considered ugly until recently when the model "Twiggy" hit the scenes. She is the one that started the whole thing you must be a stick to be beautiful. Otherwise, Marilyn Monroe was the one women and girls looked up to as the icon of beauty back then.

In no way am I saying fat is beautiful, and skinny is ugly. I prefer thin, but not boney. I prefer my man not to have a potbelly and the gut hanging over the waist of his jeans. But there are the chubby chasers out there too that like that.

So, instead of saying there should only be toothpick models on the runways, and in the magazines, how about doing it all. Show regular size runway shows. Show plus size runway shows. Show the regular and plus size women in the clothes in magazines. Do it all, and then that way, whatever size you are, you have someone to see in the clothes you want to see if it may look good on you too. Why does it have to be just one way, one size? We are not ALL blessed to be naturally thin. Some of us have to work for it, and even fight for it. Some people have health problems that no matter how little they eat, or how much they exercise, they still can not be thin, they are fat no matter what.

  • Posted By: Donthaveoneever @ 01/30/2008 1:59:07 PM

RAD! So what now instead of a size zero we will see size 2 on the runway - can't wait!!! (those of you who did not catch that, its severe sarcasism)

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:05:38 PM

      so true though.

the "twiggy" idea has been around since the 60's people. that's over 40 years....a trend that won't be forgotten by a few plus sized models.

also, have none of you noticed layne briant and crap? plus sized people model a lot, you are all just concerned because your little fads don't seem as exclusive.

I am so excited to see that beauty is being found the in the common human being. I'm 5'2", 115, not incredibly skinny and good looking, if I do say so myself. I'm not the "image" of perfection, but mostly that's because I am short. Hopefully I'll be able to look "at home" in fashionable clothes as well!!! LOL

    • Posted By: beige_glitter @ 01/30/2008 3:04:06 PM

yay! yes, I'm short too, and I've always felt uhm "less than superior" when next to a really tall woman. I feel much better knowing that short women can be doted upon fashionably.

  • Posted By: Miami4life @ 01/28/2008 3:16:12 PM

Let's face it - being a size 14 makes you overweight. I am a woman who is 5'10", size 2 and yes this is very thin but you better believe that even at my height, if I was a size 14, I would still be overweight. Go to the gym and take a look around. You don't see ANY size 14 people hitting their weights hard or looking extremely buff. If being size 14 os "ok", then why does America produce a new diet everyday? Why is it that weight watchers meetings are full of people who are size 14 and up? Let's face it, nobody is comfortable being fat. It lowers your self esteem, makes you more prone to disease and gives you less energy. Not to mention that people who have higher weights are less liekly to get promotions at work or high paying jobs - this is a studied fact. I could guarantee that everyone on here posting that being a size 14 is ok is probebly fat themselves and looking for a reason to think it is ok. Instead of sitting here on the computer trying to defend how fat you are, why don't you go to the gym? You all know your not really happy and that being overweight is not acceptable in our society. If it was, we woudln't need articles like this one.

    • Posted By: rubyseesall @ 01/30/2008 3:03:10 PM

Clothing sizes don't have a damned thing to do with it. You're 5'10" and a size 2? Goodie for you. To me, that sounds sickly looking and anorexic. But you might be stunningly fit looking. At my lowest weight, I was a size 12. I'm also 5'5". I'm sure to you that sounds fat and disgusting. So be it. But I felt good, I looked good and I felt comfortable in my skin. More importantly, I was healthy.

Focus: I personally don't care who models what. I'd just like to see clothes designed to fit a woman with hips and a chest. I know very few women who are built like little boys, yet most clothes are made to fit that type of figure. It's not that freaking difficult to make clothes in which many women would actually comfortable and dare I say it, stylish. And no, I don't mean fat women, I mean anyone's definition of a "normal" sized woman. Which is, basically, anyone larger than Sarah Jessica Parker.

    • Posted By: AshleyKeen @ 01/29/2008 12:14:30 PM

You don't see any size 14 people hitting their weights hard? What gym do you go to? I wear a size 14-16, am 5'4" and weigh 175 lbs. I go to the gym four days a week (and stay active on the days that I'm not at the gym). Two days a week I run 4+ miles, and twice a week I do 200+ crunches, 50+ reps with 7-10 pound weights, and do 75-90 lbs on machines to work legs/glutes. I've been doing this 5 months solid, and I have not. lost. weight. I'm healthy, low blood pressure, low cholesterol, none of those nasty side effects that having a BMI > 25 is supposed to give you. -- My metabolism has always been slow, but just enough to not warrent medical treatment.

My roomate wears a size 4. If she tried to do my workouts, she'd probably pass out, because I am in MUCH better shape than her. When she does work out, she runs about 2 miles and does her reps with 5 lb weights.

My eating habits are also not to blame. On an average day, I eat a slice of toast and an egg for breakfast, about a third of a cup of salad for lunch, for dinner I usually cook a small, balanced meal using organic groceries. Typically, my meals are vegetarian, chicken, or fish, and are pan-fried or grilled. I probably eat more healthily than 90% of Americans.

But I wear a size 14 which makes me overweight. I can't go home without my Mom telling me how much I need to drop pounds, or asking me if I've stepped on a scale recently. I can't introduce myself to a new acquaintance, or walk into a job interview without mentally acknowledging that they want someone thinner, prettier, to take my job.

But here's how the dice roll. I work harder to stay my fit, size 14 self than most women work to fit into their size 6 jeans, generalizations are bad expecially when you're making character judgements based on them.

      • Posted By: timwalsh300 @ 01/29/2008 12:29:47 PM

Ashley, I'm unimpressed. 200+ crunches and 50+ reps with 7-10 pound weights is not "hitting the weights hard". Neither is reps of 75-90 pounds on any lower body exercise. My 56 year-old mother can deadlift 130 pounds at a bodyweight of 105. I see girls like you in the gym everyday and What you are doing is high-repetition endurance work and it isn't building muscle or doing much for your metabolism.

More importantly, I'm 100% sure that your eating habits ARE to blame. We are all subject to the laws of thermodynamics. If you can do addition and subtraction you can figure out how many calories of energy your body requires and how many you are feeding it.

While I agree that your roommate should probably work harder in the gym (she's not that much weaker than you think, by the way, given those numbers - 4 miles vs 2 miles? 5 pounds vs 7 pounds?) you might want to try copying her eating habits if you want to get some results.

        • Posted By: AshleyKeen @ 01/29/2008 1:12:43 PM

          Tim,

I'm not trying to impress you. That being said, my roomate dines regularly on Pizza, Panera Bread, copious amounts of bagels and high-carb thai food, she also eats a great deal more meat and high-carb snacks. I suppose I should do likewise, and the weight would just melt away?

Here's the deal with those high-endurance workouts, I don't want to look like I could tear a doorframe apart with my bare hands, I want my muscles to look like they fit on my body, not like someone stuck them on as an afterthought. I don't need to look like the incredible hulk here, and I don't want to be a fitness fanatic. I want to fit my body type, and my body type happens to be of the variety where I carry a lot of weight on very broad shoulders and hips. I'm not built like a waif, I'm built like a tank, and I'm more concerned with toning my core than I am building up guns in my arms. High-impact heavy-lifting exercise might make you stronger and build muscle mass, but for a lot of women, who prefer a long, lean muscle look, high rep workouts are really the only way to go.

Ashley, all that "knowledge" you just dispensed explains exactly why you will never see results. Take just 5 minutes to search around the internet for information about weight-training. Absolutely everything you find will work dispel all those myths you still hold onto about "looking like you could rip a doorframe apart" or "looking like the incredible hulk" or "toning your core" or "doing high reps for long, lean muscles". Really, just try it. 5 minutes.

And regarding your roommate's eating habits, she can consume anything she wants as long as it is at or under her daily caloric needs. That's what I'm suggesting that you do as well. Do the math, figure it out.

To Miami4Life...I can tell you from expierience not everyone at weight watchers is a size 14 and up. I attend meetings and I am a size 8. Please note that weight watchers is for people that want to change ther lifestyles by practicing better eating habits.

the reason there is a new diet out everyday is because insenstive people like you make it a mission to make normal people feel like crap about themselves so they go out and try harmful means to make them into a size 2. luckily for my size 14 butt I'm happy with the way I am and I GO TO THE GYM DAILY AND HIT THE WEIGHTS!!!! I have no idea what gym you go to but the one I work in there are MANY people who are not in the single digit pant size. Get a cheeseburger and be quiet, that's probably the reason you are so rude is because your not getting enough fat.

FIRST OFF, SIZE 14 IS SO NOT FAT. I RATHER RESENT YOUR COMMENT B/C YOU'VE BEEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE AND OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO HAVE A TOTAL STRANGER TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE FAT ON THE INTERNET. I DON'T FEEL INTIRELY COMFORTABLE WITH MY BODY, AND I THINK MAYBE THE FACT THAT YOU AND NUMEROUS OTHERS ARE CALLING ME FAT HAS A LITTLE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT. AS FAR AS US "FAT" GIRLS GETTING OFF THE INTERNET AND GOING TO THE GYM, MAYBE SOME OF US DO. I WORK OUT AT LEAST 3 DAYS A WEEK, I EAT HEALTHY, AND I'M STILL LARGER THAN YOU THINK I SHOULD BE. SOMETIMES, THIS SORT OF STUFF IS HEREDITARY, AND SEEING THE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN THAT ARE OVER YOUR DESIRED WEIGHT, IS RATHER REFRESHING. THEY ARE NOT OVERWEIGHT, THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND UNTIL YOU AND ALL THE OTHERS CAN START SEEING THAT, YOU MAY AS WELL CLOSE YOUR EYES. WE ALL HAVE TO LOOK AT THINGS THAT WE DON'T LIKE, BUT BEING RUDE ABOUT IT JUST TO HURT SOMEONE ELSE IS TERRIBLE. WE ARE ALL GOD'S BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN, AND WE SHOULD BE PROUD. AND BY THE WAY, I AM VERY HAPPY.

Miami4life: Do you and fatisdisgusting know eachother and sit together eating lettuce while you complain about how miserable your lives are? Sounds like the two of you have some major issues that you should seek professional help with for......... thats a good idea...... both of you can join hands and go see a therapist together. You know the saying "don't say anything at all if you can not say anything nice"

I am sure you must feel very fortunate to be so thin, but for some of us we will never be a size 2. I consider myself healthy for your curiousity I wear a size 8. I once went on a 1500 calorie a day diet and made it down to a size 6, but I wasn't very happy. My doctor said I was underweight for my build, and I lost some muscle mass and performance at sports. My bone structure will never fit into a size 2, my hip bones will never be smaller than 36.5'' and I will just have to live with that. Don't criticize those who have trouble keeping weight off, not all of us win the genetic lottery. Accepting that some people were meant to be larger is a step in the right direction.
