Endorsements do matter !And I am not an ideolgically confused person . Iwould hope that the next time you take a swipe at someone you remenber to remove the toilet paper from your shoe ! I know exactly what I want no confusion here . I want a hard working honest middle of the road president.Thats why in my my perfectly clear vision Ienvision John Edwards endoursing Hillary for president. The edwards campaigh has never been just a bumper sticker . Obama reduced his campaigh of change to the bumpersticker of old washington insiders when he accepted the LIONS hurrah.

With an Obama/Edwards ticket, the Democrats would pull off a political tsunami on the Republicans, McCain or not.

Fineman is a corrupt moron. OK, that's out of the way. Edwards was the only electable candidate looking out for the middle class. Obamite cult members are delusional. Hussein is even more of a corporate shill and panderer than Clinton. I don't believe Edwards will endorse that corrupt phony. The Dem party has torn itself asunder, and has begun its fade into history.

POLITICS IS DIRTY EDWARDS WILL SUPPORT WHO EVER OFFERS THE BEST DEAL, KNOWING OBAMA AND HIS NOW PARTNERS TED KENNEDY THE PREDICTIONS ARE EDWARDS WILL PROBABLY SUPPORT OBAMA. COULD BE WRONG AND THEN I CAN SAY HE REALLY CARED FOR THE PEOPLE.
AN INEXPERIENCED PRESIDENT CAN BE DISASTEROUS EVEN IF HE IS COACHED BY TEDDY WHO COULD'NT BE PRESIDENT AND WE ALL KNOW WHY.

This is a sad day for the poor and middle class of America. John Edwards was the one candidate that had solutions for the problems that are hurting us the most. We're now faced with Democratic candidates that will give us something little different than the Republicans.

Ridiculous...Fineman provides no real evidence that any of these endorsements matter. Obama wouldn't be where he is without Ted Kennedy? Hmm, I kind of thought winning Iowa and demolishing Hilary in South Carolina had something to do with it. To suggest a C-list "celebrity" punchline like Chuch Norris had even a negligible effect on the race is insulting to American voters. Mel Martinez? That's the reason McCain won Florida?

This column is a joke. Fineman needs to come back with actual hard evidence to support his claim that huge swatchs of the electorate are giving more consideration to the endorsements of second-tier Senators and laughingstock celebrities than actual issues.

I have much more respect for Senator Edwadrs now than ever before. He has proven himself way beyound my expectations ,whe I saw him in Rochester N.Y. 4 years ago. His cause shall liveon in the hearts and minds of those that love the middle class, love fair play, seek champions of justice ,love America, and honor heros as John Edwards is a true hero of ideas and leadership.
May you continue to champion whats right in the Hillary's adminstration!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama supporters have never spoken bad about John E. We respect him greatly and have admired his campaign. I believe the Senators from Illinois and North Carolina would make a fierce team if McCain is the candidate. Past vs. Future. Endless wars vs Hope and Integrity.

If John Edwards takes some sort of back door deal to endorse Hillary or Obama it would really sour my opinion of him. I would hope that he would look at each candidate, and make up his own decision just like a voter would. The fact that he may or may not endorse someone based on a promise they make to him about a future position is against his message. That is very "old" style politics. I would be surprised if he endorsed Hillary. Obama seems more likely to carry out the change he stumps for. They are both young and vibrant. Hillary is more of the same.

No one has mentioned the possibility of him not endorsing anyone and running as a 3rd party candidate if it's a Hillary-McCain race. I could see that. Perhaps an Edwards/Bloomberg ticket? If Bloomberg's ego would allow him to be a VP candidate.

If the Obama Campaign did indeed rebuff Edwards???s overtures it may cost them the election. As an Obama supporter I hope it didn't happen and if it did it shows a shortsightedness??? that could and should be fatal.

I supported Kerry in 04 because of Edwards, so I will seriously listen to Edwards' endorsement when it comes. Too bad that he arrived at the wrong time in history. Sadly, this time the southern white man was probably the best shot for the down trodden of all races and gender.
