      Funny. That's exactly what I think after spending a night with fellow grad students nearly chanting "change" and "hope" and "new, innovative thinking" when rationalizing their support of Obama.

    If Bill Clinton costs Hillary the nomination, Obama will cost the dems the election. Obama does not have the strength to go against McCain. Once the right wing attack machine gets a hold of him, he will be toast. Hillary has already proven she can go against these jerks and win. Obama has proven nothing except using republican talking points against Hillary.

    If Bill Clinton could cost Hillary the nomination, Obama would surely cost the democrats the election. Obama does not have the strength to win against McCain. He has little substance and once the right wing attack machine comes out against Obama, he will be toast. Hillary has already gone against these jerks and won. I have every reason to believe that she can do so again. Obama has proven nothing. but spouting republican talking points against Hillary.

    The media is more interested in $ and covering offense sells better then covering defense. Obama is on offense and Hill is trying to defend her position. Being said, voting against someone's name is stupid. Come up with a better reason not to like Obama rather then what his father decided to name him. Any fair minded human being would say that just telegraphs ignorance.

    Newsweek's pro-Obama stand has turned it into a 24/7 Obama Marketing campaign.

    I am not surprised that there are at least four pro-Obama pieces (as the following) now on Newsweek's site while there is no one article for Hillary leading to Super Tuesday.

    Pro-Obama pieces:

    1. Twilight of a Baby Boom
    2. Barack + GOP = ???Obamacans???
    3. JFK???s Heir
    4. The Wrong Experience

    Pro-Hillary peices:

    What's Newsweek's fairness in terms of news reporting?

    Is Hillary not a legitimate candidate who at least should be given the equal exposure of Newsweek's coverage leading to Super Tuesday?

    I was an Obama supporter until mainstream media's unfair treatment towards this primary election circle. It doesn't sit well with my sense of fairness.

    I know Obama phenomenon has everything to do with 24/7 mainstream media's favorable courage. Without mainstream media???s macrophone, can Obama so quickly enlarge to god-like stature? I sense that mainstream media???s love for Obama is originated from certain anti-Clinton sentiment.

    I am not surprised Obama is doing so well so quickly. As a candidate if you have 24/7 mainstream media on your side and they are eager to give you a free ride, how can you not get ahead?

      I agree. I am amazed at how the media has fostered Obama as the darling of US politics, even before he announced his candidacy. Can't you people see that big corporations, etc., are pushing Obama into your minds, telling you for whom you should vote? They totally ignored some candidates from both parties--Ron Paul, John Edwards, Dennis K, not letting them actively participate in debates. Now that they have knocked them out, except for Paul, they are after Hillary and McCain. Doesn't that tell you something about Obama? I don't know if they really want Obama for Demo candidate as maybe someone they can control, or someone more easily defeated by a Republican candidate, maybe Romney. If you trust the media and wealthy, big business, vote for Obama. I do not trust either, and I think we should all boycott CNN for the way they (Blitzer and Cooper) have conducted their debates and other news regarding the campaign.

    You couldn't be more wrong on your perceptions.

    First, in 2002, when HRC voted for force, so did
    everyone else, and as much as 90% of the country
    was in favor of war based on the info given. Where
    are you now?

    HRC was a member of the US senate in 2002 and
    privy to sensitive itelligence info from the
    White House and CIA and considered it the most
    up to date intelligence at that time. She was a
    senator, not a member of the CIA, or the administration.
    Whether you are democrat, republican, independent, or
    other party member, we are all Americans united to protect
    our country from what we perceive as a possible threat.

    HRC saw a possible threat and rightly moved to action.
    With the same info as she had, under the same circumstances,
    BHO would have voted the same. At that time, to do otherwise,
    he would have been perceived as un-American and he would be
    pushing up daisies today. He is being disingenuous to have us
    believe otherwise.

    BHO was a member of the Illinois legislature in 2002
    He did not get any more Iraq info than you
    or I received, so his opinions on Iraq from 2002
    are worthless. They certainly were not based on
    any intelligent thought, because he was doing
    no more than shooting from the hip.

    He wasn't getting his info from the White House,
    so if he was basing his decision on known info,
    where did he get it? Maybe he had an in with another
    "Hussein" in Iraq? I'd doubt it. I believe he was just
    shooting from the hip, which is what I see as his ideas
    on health care, the economy, etc.

    We don't need another SHOOT FROM THE HIP president.

    It's interesting to note, however, that Obama keeps
    talking about how he was always against this wrong
    war, but he keeps voting to continue funding it.

    HRC used the best info she had at the time. If you
    want to point the finger, point it at G W Bush,
    he's the criminal here.

      No, everyone else did not vote for force. But everyone knew that is what they were doing, which Hillary now disputes. Didn't you watch the debate? She didn't think "W" would actually use that resolution for military force to use military force. She was shocked when it happened!

      By the way, the Hussein thing is getting old. Anyone who chooses their president based on the name their parents gave them deserves what he gets.

        Lefty, The "Hussein" aspect has been ignored by the media, just like they ignored some other candidates. I will tell you--I do not want a president with the name of Barack Hussein Obama. Can you just imagine--I give you the president of the US: President Barack Hussein Obama! However, the name is not the only thing I dislike about Mr. "Hussein" Obama.

    Is Senator Obama really an idealist as he claims?

    The NYTime's article vividly describes that he is simply another typical politician--no better and no worst. But he certainly is a good actor knowing how to make himself look saintly, certainly with the help of the mainstream media.

    Hillary Clinton is keeping her White House records secret. Why doesn???t she let her records public if she doesn't have something to hide? I think people who vote for her are reckless because she is destine to a doom when the republican attack machine starts to dig out all her and the Clinton's enterprise's and foundation's dirt that is readily available for anyone who is really interested about her record. If I were Obama, I would have gone after her hidden record day and night until she quit and go home. She is out there running for the dynasty she feels she is entitled to only because the Democratic Party can't find its wining ways and had to resort to the bottom of the barrel that won them the presidency a decade ago. She is what you get when wining, not principle, is the only thing in people's mind. Only a dog returns to its puke and the Democratic establishment is a dog right now.

    Comedy like this is exactly why I watch McLaughlin every Sunday. We are expected to accept as leaders of our country a "woe-man" or "WHOA-man" combined with the candidate of the Chicago machine who is clearly not ready for prime time. Shirley U. Jest! Mrs. Bill Clinton has never accomplished anything in her life without the guidance, direction and connections of her husband. Obama was going along okay and then he accepted the endorsement of moveondotsoros. Can you say Coward Dean? The absolutely only thing these two buffoons have going for them is the Republican party who are content to run Bob Dole 2.0 and their own version of John Kerry, Francois Rambler Romney. The msm is sold on Mrs. Clinton so I guess we sheep should settle back and get ready to hear that shrill screachy man-hating voice for 4 years.     Ms. Cliff, Please do not give only credit to Obama for being inspirational; In my mind and spirit Clinton is the one that best fulfills that ticket! I suggest this not only because she has withstood the ugly feelings lashed at her (for whatever mean-spirited reason people may have held and may still hold), but also because she has taught me in the process that leadership requires a special strength of character that transcends our provisional and provincial aspirations (whatever those may be) and aspires to empower those who dare to act in small and big ways in the benefit of those who cannot. Isn't this the true American grit that we all claim to process?
