Hail to the Beasts
All the presidents' dogs, cats, sheep, goats and other animals -- and some four-legged front runners that might be next to set paws in the White House
If you believe the Washington lore, dogs are the only true friends in America's most cutthroat town. But for a number of this year's presidential hopefuls, past canine companions are coming back to bite them. Mitt Romney faced scrutiny over the treatment of a family dog, while Mike Huckabee's son was involved in an animal-related scandal. It may seem as if Washington has gone to the dogs, but over the years it has also gone to the cats, goats and lizards. Presidents, and presidential hopefuls, have been using animals to improve their images for centuries. Here, a survey of the front runners for the next First Pet, followed by a quick tour of some of the White House's four-legged residents.

Comment: Back to the storyline, I think Reagan, Clinton and Huckabee had/have the coolest dogs, and find it pretty funny they've had ponies, sheep, and goats out grazing on the White House lawn.
Presidents Reagan and Roosevelt were pretty impressive statesmen who knew a thing or two about riding horses... the nation could use someone like them in the running for President today.

Comment: I think Obama is someone who could very possibly be a Trojan horse for Mr. Louis Farrakhan and the Muslim world..............
