If the truly horrifying happens and John Mc Cain recieves the nomination, I willvote for Obama

It's okay for some "Republicans" to endorse whomever they please, although many of them haven't got a brain in their head. The Republican Party needs to start anew (as another Party) because the current Republican Party has been taken over by the constipated "compassionate/conservatives of GW Bush, and they ain't us! Additionally, Osama Obama will not be elected president. V.P., maybe, but not prez.
wtf. Obama has 8 years of legislative experience in the Illinois Senate, as well as 3 years in the U.S. Senate, 5 years as a grassroots community organizer and activist, 10 years as a constitutional law scholar (was even offered tenure 4 times) at the prestigious University of Chicago Law School, and taught alongside legendary professors like Cass Sunstein, the president of the Harvard Law Review... ALL IN ALL, HE HAS MORE LEGISLATIVE EXPEREINCE THATN HILLARY AND EDWARDS COMBINED.
15 years as a lawyer huh? So are you going to say that being class president is experience enough for the White House too?
Republicans supporting Obama? I wonder why. Perhaps because they've seen that Clinton can beat their candidate easier than Obama can. Ignore the Obama hype machine. Clinton has a large group of hardcore supporters. As for the media, I've always maintained that the media is essentially moderately conservative. If you consider the media liberal then you have no idea what liberals would like to see in the news. Every one of the Bush administration's crimes or scandals is buried after a couple of weeks. Everything Clinton does that may be slightly negative is blown up. Have you read any big negative news stories on Obama? Plus the media is owned by the ultra-rich which I would not consider the most liberal bunch.
The Obama kool-aid will wear off by November and we will suffer through another Republican administration. Then the middle and upper class liberals will cry and then happily return to their lattes while the people in the ghetto who really need a Democrat in the White House will go back to their suffering. Oh well, it's not the first time rich liberals have screwed the poor with over zealous idealism that backfires.
I have to agree with you on a number of points. Especially about the Media "liberal" bias. Even hollywood is taking a more moderate stance on social issues, think Juno, Knocked Up.
Voting for a specific party is far less important than choosing a candidate who can take America in the right direction. During my life, I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans. I took the time to study their personal beliefs, their strengths, their weaknesses, and compared what they had to offer with the condition of the world and our place in it at the time. Both parties continue to throw around the names of John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, but times are different today with a whole different set of problems. Sure, there were economic problems, and the fear of nuclear war--etc. and both men in their time served our country well. But todays' world is far more complex and frightening. The enemy lurks in all corners of the world, spreading hate against our way of life. International trade and relations are more important in a world more diverse than ever. And yet, we as a people just don't get it. We bicker over religion, age, color, etc. forming our opinions on our biases rather than facts. We allow the media to manipulate our way of thinking adn soon find ourselves quoting them rather than questioning them and their motives. We argue about petty things that don't matter in the full scheme of things and we get caught up in the frenzy of the movement, sometimes without ever stopping to evaluate how we got there or why we've become so invested. WIth the comments that have been posted on the many sites on the internet, it has become increasingly clear tthat we no longer appreciate nor live the American dream. Whether you vote democrat or republican, do so with well grounded reasons that ultimately will keep America safe, economically stable, and a country that remains free to express our religion or lack thereof. Vote with a desire to sustain our precious freedoms and to protect all groups of people from vicious, hurtful attacks!
Why they caught Obama fever, because as a Democrat Obama is eager and willing to kiss the ass of Reagan.
Republicans already are crossing over to Obama because he is the strongest candidate running. Only he can unify America to produce real change. Compare his record against Hillary's and place your vote at http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/2/0181/84501/394/448113
Obama fever.....I hope true Republicans aren't so fickle as to be easily influenced by drama and charisma. Look at the core values behind the true Republican stance. If this happens, you will know that Obama is not the man

Prominent Republicans? Maybe I have been missing something, but I only recognize the name of Joe Scarborough, and with his hatred of the Clintons I can hardly consider him objective, and I really don't see him as prominent, hell he couldn't even keep his seat in Congress. As for McCain not attacking Obama, it doesn't take a political genius to see how the media made everything the Clintons said about Obama into a racial theme.
Newsweek's pro-Obama stand has turned it into a 24/7 Obama Marketing campaign.
I am not surprised that there are at least four pro-Obama pieces (as the following) now on Newsweek's site while there is no one article for Hillary leading to Super Tuesday.
Pro-Obama pieces:
1. Twilight of a Baby Boom
2. Barack + GOP = ???Obamacans???
3. JFK???s Heir
4. The Wrong Experience
Pro-Hillary peices:
zero
What's Newsweek's fairness in terms of news reporting?
Is Hillary not a legitimate candidate who at least should be given the equal exposure of Newsweek's coverage leading to Super Tuesday?
I was an Obama supporter until mainstream media's unfair treatment towards this primary election circle. It doesn't sit well with my sense of fairness.
I know Obama phenomenon has everything to do with 24/7 mainstream media's favorable courage. Without mainstream media???s macrophone, can Obama so quickly enlarge to god-like stature? I sense that mainstream media???s love for Obama is originated from certain anti-Clinton sentiment.
I am not surprised Obama is doing so well so quickly. As a candidate if you have 24/7 mainstream media on your side and they are eager to give you a free ride, how can you not get ahead?
LIke I stated on the other posting. The Media's love fest and free ride with Obama is a tactic to turn people against the Clintons. Even Mitt Romney has a commercial throwing mud at her. Shouldn't he be trying to throw mud at McCain at this point in the race?
Clinton is a VERY legitimate candidate and the Media is worried she will win if she is the nominee. If Obama is the nominee, the Media's love fest will quickly end and they will beat him up worse than they did the Clintons.
If you are turned off against the democratic nominee, what are you going to do...................more than likely vote Republican......get the idea?
Good tactic, I just wish more people could see through it.

Clinton health plan may mean tapping pay
By CHARLES BABINGTON
Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.
The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC's "This Week," she said: "I think there are a number of mechanisms" that are possible, including "going after people's wages ..."
More bad new for Obamacan today.....

He's now down 11 points..........I think people are finally seeing the substance
Obama is not a real Democrat. He likes what Reagan did. Read why he says that people voted for Reagan.
"I think they felt like with all the excesses of the 1960s and 1970s and government had grown and grown but there wasn't much sense of accountability in terms of how it was operating. I think people, he just tapped into what people were already feeling, which was we want clarity we want optimism, we want a return to that sense of dynamism and entrepreneurship that had been missing."
The excesses and growth of the government were what the Democrats did. It was Medicare, Civil Rights, the Great Society, the Environmental Movement, Progressive taxation, Government Regulation of Corporations and Gay Rights. Calling them excesses is Republican language. Most Democrats didn't think they went far enough. Clarity refers to Democrats concerns with Watergate, Vietnam, supporting Dictators, basing our economy on carbon fuels and fighting for our rights.
It's critical to appreciate the pivotal role that our own border security plays in our "war against terrorism", keeping in mind that "Amnesty" is anathema to border security. A Nation without enforceable borders will not long survive as a Nation. Mitt Romney is exceedingly strong on each of these principles; while his opponent, John McCain, ( who conducted himself like a petulant child in the recent Republican debate ) has proven that illegal immigration is an issue on which he can NOT be trusted. Don't be misled by McCain's "Clintonian-Lies" concerning Romney's record.

Why don't you conservatives admit you've voted for a fascist the past 8 years?
Wow. I have mad respect for McCain because of all he's been through and because he came through it relatively intact emotionally and physically, but this article was an eye-opener. I fully intend to vote Democrat (and I think we're gonna win this time!), but I've always seen McCain as plan b if the Dems presented a candidate along the lines of John Kerry again. McCaine seemed moderate enough to vote for. However, after reading about his temper and outbursts, I wonder if he'd be suited for the top job? The last thing we'd need is for him to tell some head of state to F*** off or something. And he doesn't change his mind once it's made up? We have that kind of thinking in the White House now. We certainly don't need another hardhead who isn't willing to compromise.
And btw, if now we only have "1 party in this country: the liberal left"--we've been living w/ 1 party in this country for the past 14 years: the conservative right. The pendulum is swinging the other way again, as it always does (this time it began to move in 2006). And thank goodness for that! How's it feel now that the shoe is on the other foot, conservs? :-)
f to you
Why don't you democrats admit that you are voting for a socialist? Any of the present and gone candidates this year are all socialists. Forget this nonsense about liberal/conservative, the democrat party is now the old socialist party u.s.a., for you educated in government schools, socialism is as close as communism as you can get. If you were a true liberal you would be voting for McCain.
Why don't you democrats at least admit you are voting for a socialist? Forget all this nonsense about liberal/conservative propaganda. The entire group of democrat candidates, even the ones gone by now, are all socialists, they embrace the socialist agenda and form of government. For you educated in government schools, that is as close as communism as you can get. If you are a true "liberal" you would be voting for
mccain.
