What he has to say, which is the same thing he has said so far, is feel-good pseudo peptalk.
Hillary = substance. Obama = hot air.
Yes, he's charismatic, but why should that be a deciding factor in the race?
Where is the intellectual depth in this country?
The ranting he displayed in the last debate about Hillary's voting record concerning Iraq showed a true lack of experience. When she explained that she based her vote on information that was presented to her at the time, he ranted "We need someone who will get it right from day one!"
An obvious lack of experience with a huge dose of immaturity.
    Think people, think.

I wager that undecided voters will be much more interested in hearing what Barack Obama has to say than what Lady Yashica has to say.

Obama's muslim roots are widely discused but does not seem to be debated on TV, (example no debate question.) Republicans may support him now and prop him as the Democratic nominee knowing that this and possibly other not discussed items about Obama can easily be used to keep a republican in the white house. So much for CHANGE.

It is not debated because it is irrelevent. If my name is Wolfgang Moyer does that me I am a Nazi? You obviously live in an area that is not ethic or your just a flat out racist! ,

Dirty Politics maybe maybe not but this guy Dick Morris, some of you may have heard, was a Clinton dirty strategist back in the 90's. Whether you believe him or not, it's worth checking it out and no I'm not affiliated to this site or anybody. I just got linked to this after checking some profiles.

Who will beat Hillary? Those women who do not vote, who vote thinking women are not cut out to be president, or women who think they should be subservient to men.

  • Posted By: markci @ 02/02/2008 2:12:49 PM

*** It is my understanding that although Obama did not vote for the war, he did vote to fund the war. If you are so opposed to the war as he has made crystal clear, why vote to fund it? This seems to be a direct contrast. ***
Maybe to an idiot it does. He only voted to fund the war after the troops were over there. As did the other anti-war candidates. Hillary on the other hand voted to send them there in the first place. That's what all her alleged "experience" got us.

    • Posted By: Ironicus @ 02/02/2008 3:09:00 PM

"The War" is being fought by men and women in uniform who do their duty to protect us whether they are asked to do it for a just cause or an unjust cause. Having been put in harm's way for an unjust cause does not mean that responsible people who disagreed with the call to action for unjust and unprincipled reasons will now totally withdraw their support of funds to hopefully protect these brave men and women who were so unwittingly and brazenly placed in an untenable situation.
A brash decision to prosecute a war does not always warrant an equally brash and possibly senseless decision to withdraw funding.

      • Posted By: frjiles1 @ 02/02/2008 5:26:37 PM

Your point is very well taken and respected. However, I still strongly feel that, if you are SO TOTALLY opposed to something, you are not going to vote for. it. Another way of looking at it is that I am against it, and if I don't vote for it, just possibly the funding wouldn't be approved and quite possibly this will end the war. How can you fight in a war if you have no to very limited funding.

Obama didn't even have to explain his vote. . During the debate the commentators ironically forgot to bring this up while he continued to point out that Clinton did vote for the war.

Granted, I don't know much about federal fiscal responsbilities but I do work for the state. And whenever funding is not approved or the funding had been eliminated, generally what happens is that we have to withdraw from the program that is no longer being approved or funded. How can you sponsor a program when there are no funds? I READILY admit that I know NOTHING about how it works on a federal level but perhaps the war would not have lasted as long if more of the senate voted against funding. Now I am totally ready to be schooled if someone can legitimately point out that is not how it works when voting to fund war or any other proposed program for that matter.

My main point was that he made a huge point to show her error...........what about his.............

        • Posted By: reinadelaz @ 02/04/2008 4:14:05 PM

So, just because he was against thewar, he should wnat us to lose?

    • Posted By: frjiles1 @ 02/02/2008 2:35:50 PM

      Markci........You are the IDIOT!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line is this, you ARE NOT going to vote for something you are against.. During the debates, this man made it CLEAR AS DAY that he was against it. If you are SO TRONGLY OPPOSED TO something, you are NOT going to support it.

If you can't see that there is very little difference then you just don't want to see it. How can you scream I oppose the war and it was a total mistake as I predicted however, I am going to vote to fund it................You can't be that naive not to see the contrast with that. He is in NO position to throw that down her throat WITHOUT at least taking responsibility for his own vote! Of course if he did it would only weaken his argument. .....................just take a moment to look beyond the surface.

Also, you need to think twice before you insult someone!

It is a fact that Hillary will divide this country like never before. I'm tired of living in a country divided, nothing gets done anymore. She's proven that she inspires an irrational hatred in many. Why? Can't tell you but it is real and she will push moderates to the right.

As well she will be a huge fundraiser for the GOP if she gets the nomination. Currently the GOP is hurting for money but imagine how the money will roll in for them if Hillary gets the nod. Let's not forget that a divided nation will keep the Dems from gaining seats in the house and senate.

    • Posted By: susandean @ 02/04/2008 4:11:30 PM

To zumber: I noticed in these two short paragraphs ..."she" ...five times. Is it her gender that is creating this prejudice? Each candidate should not be perceived by gender or race but as a separate ENTITY that will benefit our country. I appreciate your concern..it is hard for us!!! I hope Hillary isn't upset that I've considered her an entity...Isn't that what it's about? We are all trying to acquire something together as citizens of this country ...

Are you implying that since you are black, you cannot be racist?

  • Posted By: quixel4321 @ 02/02/2008 11:02:54 AM

Comment: First of all Senator Obama is NOT a MUSLIM. But all the ignorant people who think he is a MUSLIM, I want
to ask them, Why Americans and Christians go all around the world converting people to Christian Faith?
According to recent Survey , Christian Faith Groups converted 6.9Million people from around the World,
in 2007 alone. Don't we Christian Americans want the whole world becomes Christian? Anybody?

UMMM i don't cae if he was a Muslim or not.His church is really radical and they have prooted racist ideas and have attacked Jews and Whites - Unappoligetically black? 9/11 was because of the "White "man keeping the brown skin people down? Can you be any more biggotted and racist? Obama like others have said cries racism on anything and his own internal memo's "What can we attack Hilliary on,use against her claiming racist talk" not verbatim but the gist of it. The Mc Cain people won't attack him becuae they know the MEDIA wil turn it against them,They know the MEDIA supports OBAMA and wil do anything to ELECT him. They wil elevate any so called NEGATIVES against anyone else and HIDE any NEGAtIVES about OBAMA and gloss over and ATTACKS he's throws out and confirm those ATTACKS as HONEST and TRUTFULL when in fact they are anything BUT. OBAMA and the MEDIA wil do anything any everything to get ELECTED and once he does WOE be we who disagree with him on anything... CUBA anyone? HE is our modern day HITLER with a dash of CASTRO.. ANy political objection and dissent will be crushed or clensed. =(

    • Posted By: schubert1970 @ 02/02/2008 4:36:27 PM

      His pastor is a racist

      • Posted By: reinadelaz @ 02/04/2008 3:44:15 PM

CASTRO??? Does that mean you really believe Obama might give every American access to education and healthcare like every Cuban has? Not a bad idea in my book.

Fellow citizens...We can find faults in each candidate but please think about our country's future, our children, our grandchildren. We need a president who has the strength, courage, knowledge, compassion and experience to repair the damage caused by the past Republican president. With due respect for the efforts of all candidates.....Please vote for Hillary Clinton.

Obama continues to preach about change-I ask what exactly is he going to change and how is he going to do it as President? I can't see having a muslim president in the US that belongs to a church that supports only African blacks. I am not racial and I don't want a president that is. If the democratic party insists on nominating someone that is black or female, John McCain will win the presidency.

  • Posted By: freetoknow @ 02/04/2008 2:55:48 PM

I still undecided on who to vote for,but hillary has always played for the only a select group not all. I am a woman of a new millenium. I vote for the right person not lower myself to past mistake of people only voting for one gender or race but to be free to vote for who I choice is best. I do not choose Hillary and will not be pushed it to voting for her because shes my gender. I want change not the same politican because she female. I am a free person not just a female freedom is more important than gender.

  • Posted By: Lady Yashica @ 02/03/2008 11:06:06 PM

change WHAT? We still don't know what he stands for.
He might as well put Oprah in as his vice-president and let Dr. Phil run health care.
    You people are scary.

    • Posted By: O8AMA @ 02/04/2008 12:23:00 AM

You don't know what he stands for because you haven't taken 15 minutes to go to a website/book/ non-TV that explains his stances on issues. The "scary people" you are talking about peel themselves away from the couch and TV every once and awhile and live.

        Here here!!!

I for one am tired of all the Hillary plants that either begin with:

I was an Obama supporter until...(insert some idiosyncratic BS here)

        or

"We still don't know what he stands for.." (which is basically like saying that 30+ million people can state his platform but I'm playing the dumbass for my/Hillary's benefit).

  • Posted By: non-partisan @ 02/04/2008 1:30:48 PM

Why does Obama appeal to many in the GOP? Because he appeals to human beings! And the red-blue divide is a fallacy anyway.

For a long, long time Americans have been too complacent, letting a corporate elite minority run our lives by limiting our choices. Let's open up the process, and have policy debated in public, instead of behind closed doors. Let's participate, and exercise the power we have. Obama is the only candidate talking about these vital levers of democracy.

Obama also supports publicly funded political campaigns--even though he's beating the pros at their own game!

And the very conservative magazine The Economist, in its Dec. 8-14 issue, explains why his healthcare plan would actually cover more people than Hillary's unenforceable mandate.

    Get real--check your W2, for starters!--and elect a real leader--BARACK OBAMA!
