    Shame on Newsweek! I will not be renewing my subcription that I've had for years. It is disgusting that you provide a platform, let alone PAY this crimminal to write his republican propaganda is outrageous.     I have been a subscriber to Newsweek for 40 years or more and am not renewing my subscription this year because of the company's decision to include Karl Rove as a contributor. This man has done a significant amount of damage to truth, freedom and democracy and his public service is under multiple clouds of suspicion. He should not be provided financial support for Newsweek - let him go on talk radio.

    Check on a Democratic senator from California, who has resigned from a powerfull position on a defense committee, when information that this committee was giving her husbands companies, up to 90% of there gov. contracts, without bidding them out. NO, it's not Halliburton. Most of the comments on this article are not even relevant to the article. Liberal tactic, if you can't understand it change the subject.

      There is a senator from California, a Democrat, whom had a powerfull position on a defense committee. She has since removed her self, as more info came out on the fact that her husbands defense companys were getting up to 90% percent of there contracts given to them by this committee, without bidding them out. NO, it wasn not Halliburton, which wins most of there contracts in a competitive bidding proccess.
      Due some reaserch. You won't find it in the main stream media.

It is still far too early to concede that the era of Regan is over. I am also amazed at the comments posted on this site. Did any one read what you said???? It's not about taking a political stand, it's about whether or not the GOP has a future. If any party is in trouble, I would bet on the Dems as they are embroiled in the decision to back a woman or an African American man. Hmmmm, where did the issues go?

    I trust that Mr Rove is comfortable and happy with the kind of comment posted here by HolyRoller. This individual seems to harbor the delusion that GOD only cares about those that agree with present day Republican orthodoxy. Certainly many individuals such as HolyRoller make outrageous statements like this just to get a rise out of the rest of us but I find it very disturbing that there seems to be so many of them. If not for liberals in the mental health establishment in the 1960's and 70's many of these people would be institutionalized and we wouldn't be exposed to their ravings. Take pills HolyRoller and turn the computer off.

    I totally agree with Karl Rove. The GOP has a great future as long as know-nothings and suckers fall for the sleazy, slime-ball strategies, dirty tricks and out-and-out lies which is Rove???s only claim to fame. When all else fails, the GOP can always rig the election through voter intimidation, voter suppression, defective voting machines. They can pass voter ID laws that are thinly disguised versions of poll taxes or they can hack into voting machines. It???s ironic that we are spending thousands of lives and trillions of dollars bringing democracy to Iraq, and we are permitting a scumbag like Karl Rove to destroy democracy here at home. As long as scumbags like Rove are in business, we are no one???s model of how a democracy works.
