Rove- no one cares what you think, you are a black sheep, a criminal. Just because you haven't been indicted for your crimes doesn't mean we don't know you're nothing more than a turd blossom. You've done enough damage to our country, why don't you just crawl back under the turd you blossomed from?

Karl, I am not reading your article. I want you to crawl back under that rock you have been hiding under. You must hope that the republicans retain the oval office, because if they don't, we may finally find out what a bad boy you have been. I believe once you claimed to work for the American people. Let me just be clear, you never worked a day for me sir. The day the media takes away your voice will be a better day in America.

The following statement was made by Bush's ex-chief political advisor-Karl Rove--"As people do better, they start voting like republicans--unless they have too much education and vote Democratic". Does this mean that republicans do not have enough education? Does Rove have enough education? Does Rove have none and doesn't want none? That state4ment says a lot!

In this article, Rove has eloquently attempted to sooth his remaining followers. However, Roves analysis lacks common sense. It is clear that the Republican Party is suffering now due to the consequences of the Rove-style political tactics to win the presidency at all costs. People were fooled by the tactics, but over time, people see through the illogical rhetoric and deceit.

People are beginning to see Rove much like they view talk radio. At first, the illogical arguments are galvanizing and believed. However, over time, more and more people are able to see through the bull. As people see that they have been had, they become increasingly resentful and disenchanted with the Republican supporters.

The Republican party has a lot of good ideas. For example, the idea of reliance on market forces are a wonderful idea. However, the idea is shared by Democrats, especially Barack Obama who has a deep appreciation for a market economy.

Its nice that Rove brings up the term ???Third-Way??? of governance. However, he did not really explain or give it due credence. The Third-Way actually makes a lot of sense because it is a mix of market and interventionist philosophies. That is, the Third way appreciates market forces (microeconomic principles) and uses it in a thoughtful intelligent manner. It involves meaningful governmental intervention to meet goals that would not be reached by a pure free market (i.e., affordable health care, new energy sources, and elimination of poverty).

Contrary to their rhetoric, the Bush Administration (and Rove) actually believe in market intervention. However, they manipulate the market in favor of shareholders (i.e. rich people) and certain companies, at the expense of consumers and labor.

Typical. He makes his argument denying the demise of the GOP by attacking the Dems. Please go away Fart Blossom.

It does seem like Rove didn't pass his 6th grade writing course. Maybe if he spends some time in jail for all the damage he has personally caused this country, he will have some time to brush up on his writing skills. I've canceled my subscription to Newsweek once his drivel started appearing.

I saw Rove's face there and really wanted to slap him upside the head.

..This piece of crap isn't worth talking about.

  • Posted By: rblackbird @ 02/02/2008 8:40:20 PM

Rove has a point. After all, his predictions of the Democrats' demise have never proven true.

Karl Rove, may have a point. After all, the Republican predictions of the demise of the Democrats have never panned out.

    What a waste of space...

Karl's last prediction: ""I add up to a Republican Senate and Republican House. You may end up with a different math but you are entitled to your math and I'm entitled to the math." October 24, 2006

"The difficulty for both Republicans and Democrats is that our political system is at a point where more than the normal amount of party growth and development is needed." That sentence alone is like being waterboarded -- it just goes on and on and you can't come up for air. I guess trying to edit this piece was hopeless. Such drivel. Tsk, tsk, Newsweek.

I had no idea Karl Rove was such a poor writer.

  • Posted By: Grapevine @ 02/02/2008 7:47:25 PM

My take-away from this article is that Rove vastly overrates himself and the credibility of his opinion on any matter in modern politics. This is, after all, the self-aggrandizing "architect" who designed the blueprint for the most unpopular presidency since Nixon, and likely one of the worst presidents in American history.

I hope he's paying Newsweek for the privilege of contributing to the magazine, and not vice versa. Because this guy isn't qualified to write a menu for Denny's.

*High Five* Grapevine! I couldn't have said it better. This is the man who wanted to create a Republican majority in congress that would last 40 years. He was short by 38!

Reagan is credited with "making human rights a centerpiece of America's foreign policy". I guess Mr. Rove called in sick the day the Reagan administration threw its wholehearted support to military juntas and dictators in Latin America, Haiti, Iraq, and The Philippines.
This is why Reagan is to Latin America what Bin Ladin is to the US.
