The fact that so many oppose drilling in ANWR is amazing. We constantly hear the complaining of the price of gas...it comes up in almost every debate. Neighbors, friends, and relatives talk of it constantly yet we let a major supply sit because of an assumed yet not necessary evrionmental problem. It's not the availability of the oil that is significant but a message to non-US suppliers who would realize they don't have a stranglehold on us. It's time to take advantage of what we have. Just as drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. Environmentalists think they have one a battle there yet China, Venezuela, and other drill 1 mile past our international boundries. So where is the environmental win?
