What an unpleasant old man. We really need a rambling, vindictive war monger as a presidential candidate. At least, that is what the media tells us.

Maverick huh? We all know how those fighter pilots turned Presidents turn out to be :)
Good grief!, I lost count of how many people spoke about Sen. McCain's terrible temper but DID NOT WANT THEIR NAMES QUOTED IN THE ARTICLE! Why not? Plain and simple; fear. Fear of retribution. Anyone can get angry but it takes a real leader to stay calm and manage their emotions in trying times. Did you notice McCain's snideful "half-smile" the article talked about in last week's GOP debate? Anyone see that same contempt in Romney's mannerisms or expressions?
Stop, stop, stop with the politically approved "spinning" B.S.! McCain's first marriage didn't fail JUST due to the "strangeness and strain of repatriation". Come on, Newsweek. Tell the truth! McCain had an AFFAIR! And by some accounts, many of them. Look for yourself, America! Google "John McCain first wife" or something like that. McCain has 'fessed up' to his lack of character (What else are you going to call it? Self-improvement?) in the situation, but wouldn't it have displayed MORE class and character if he'd never had an affair in the first place? BTW, his first wife had been in a very severe car accident while he was a P.O.W. but didn't want to tell him while he was in Vietnman because she didn't want to worry him. Now THAT is selflessnes. McCain said he fell in love with his current wife while on Navy business in Hawaii when still married to his first wife. He very quickly divorced his first wife and within months married his current wife. Yep, that's class....
While you're looking at character (as we should all do before we vote), look at Romney. Happily married to the same woman for over 35 years. I admire McCain's military service, particularly his toughness as a POW, but don't fall for the media's relentless sugar-coating of his character. If he was unfaithful to his former wife, how "faithful" will he be to you and I as fellow Americans and what's important to us?
I'm sick of all this war talk!
McCain will keep us at war the whole time he's in office- Do you want that?
McCain needs to lose this election so we can get out of Iraq.
I want to live in an America that is at peace. Make jobs, not war!
Seems to me its time for a changing of the guard, I think all the older politicians arguably have done a decent job with the country up until now, now however is definitely a time for evolution, we don't need a guy who makes a living acting tough like bush back in the whitehouse, although Maccain may be fairly soft spoken but he represents to the world our histroy of war mongering that we need to leave behind. Vietnam has no meaning to, todays children nor will it to tomarrow's children we need to start focusing on more pressing issues such as healthcare, the economy. There is no need to accept that just because we have invented new wars from time to time that that means we need to continue the practive into the future. We don't need someone who approaches a leadership position talking about how well they could lead in a time of war, we need someone that doesn't believe in war, was is an archaic concept that has done no measurable good for over half a century. At the end of the day lets be honest with ourselves the last conflict the US actually needed to get involved in was WWII, and we were forced to enter that conflict reluctantly, now we are actually STARTING wars??? We still have homeless, starving kids in this country, elderly without health care, people dying all over the world from easily curable diseases.... are you kidding me? What on earth are we doing wasting trillions of dollars of our own money marching around the planet sounding the trumpets, convinced we will accomplish something great and lasting by slaughtering thousand of angry poor people, and burying future generations in debt, we now look like the old USSR. Iraq was nothing more than compounding one tragedy with another. Remember how we talked about all this in the 80's and 90's, that by 2010 he would have flying cars, no wars, no disease, what happened?
