I'm a conservative, a college graduate, served in the military, and love this country.

This country is going to hell in a hand-basket, because people keep misleading us into accepting these supremacist ideologies. Our deep-seated racist feelings give us a slight twinge when we think of electing an African-American President. So, we make-up all these ridiculous excuses for not voting for him.

Article II of the Constitution sets the principal qualifications to be eligible for election as President. A Presidential candidate must:

    1. Be a natural-born citizen of the United States.
    2. Be at least 35 years old.
    3. Have been resident in the US for at least 14 years.

So, where did all this talk of experience come from? Again, the okie-doke! Who has experience being the President of the US, before becoming the President of the US?

Obama keeps saying he wants to give the country back to the American people. He knows we're predominantly white, dominate the House of Representatives, dominate the Senate, and dominate the military.

While we're falling for the okie-doke, again, China, Japan and Southeast Asia are buying up US debt. So, I guess we'll be happy when they finally sell our country back to us!

    Obama ???08!

Thank You, Mr. Alter, for articulating what many of us have been feeling: Obama is not a Boomer nor an Xer, but is clearly a member of Generation Jones...and that matters. Jonesers have a quite different political sensiblity from Boomers and Xers, and this is key in understanding the rise of Obama's candidacy. Posted by Jack T.

Where are the NEWSWEEK or national stories on this:

The New York Times has a major write up on Obama and nuclear power today that talks about his donations from Exelon and the fact that David Axelrod has done work for this company. It also shows how Obama weakened a nuclear bill in the US Senate based on power company and GOP requests and what he did to the bill very much dismayed nuclear opponents in Illinois.

But of course he continues to say he does not take money from lobbyists (which he did on the federal level until this election and still does from state lobbyists).

Calling anyone born after '60 a boomer is silly. Obama is part of my group (born '66 here), saying someone's a 'boomer' simply because of the birthrate charts is ignoring what makes a generation a generation. He's an X-er according to Strauss and Howe. I think that's accurate, like it or not, Mr. Alter.

Obama and the Chicago machine threw it all away in one felled swoop. There was a scenario in which he gets the nomination, one of the two pretend conservatives gets the Republican nod and voters on the right stay home thus allowing him to become President. Then some idiot decides that it would be a good idea to accept an endorsement from moveondotsoros, the Al Queda of American politics. What's next- offer the VP slot to Ron Paul? Giving the Soros gang the keys to the White House is simply surrendering to the cowards of auld yirrup who cannot stand up to islamo fascists in their own yards and want to draw us into the surrender end game of isolationism. Obviously Mr. Obama and Mayor Daley haven't heard about World War II. Good bye Mr. Obama- you are no Jack Kennedy.
