With all praise-singing aside, Ernest Koroma as president is the best thing to have ever happened to Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone stands to benefit a lot from his leadership skills and wisdom. All positive-thinking Sierra Leoneans have to do now is rally round president Koroma and ward off detractors who are enemies of the state.

What is hapening in Kenya is necesary evil which in the final analysis will be an eye opener and a lesson to future leaders the will of the people and the interest of the nation superceeds that of a tribe ,. political party and self interest . The Kenyans have tolerated the idea of one tribe and one man to hold on to power for the longest time in African political institutions. This will teach them a bitter lesson next time around.,

Koroma, elected by a clean ballot in a continent infamous for corrupt elections, deserves the support of the West. Democrats on the continent should be encouraged and promoted; the West needs to disentangle themselves from their illicit tango with the corrupt despots on the continent who have inflicted so much misery on their people.

Koroma represents a new breed of African leaders who are determined to improve the image of the continent through good governance, economic development and social justice. I hope the West encourages the good guys and disengage themselves from their corrupt tango with African despots.
