Comment: What effect has Ron Paul had on the American political process? Well, it cannot be accurately calculated at this point, but what about all the young people who are now researching and learning about the Constitution, limited government, the rights of individuals, foreign policy and all the other issues Dr. Paul is speaking out on? These are the folks who will be leading our country in the future, and I for one am very encouraged by what I am hearing from people who are now encouraged to step up to the plate and get involved in local, state and national politics (myself included) in an effort to follow Paul's example. I am excited to see what the future holds.

Comment: Everyone needs to watch the documentary called "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". It's about the situation in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez and his supporters. Very inspiring. I think Ron Paul supporters will like it especially.

Comment: The end of that comment I just posted should say: And one thing you can be sure of: They are NOT looking out for you and me.

Comment: Do you see the loyalty this man inspires?!!! We who support Ron Paul are NOT political geeks! We know that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. This isn't about "inspirational" speeches, or "it's time for a woman in the White House" nonsense; our lives are literally at stake here! WAKE UP AMERICA! We're losing everything that ever defined America. The media are just a bunch of bought-off traitors. Here we have a man who is custom-made for the Presidency. He has the solution to the economic mess we're in, he has a proven record of integrity and honesty, he puts any leftover money at the end of the year back into the Treasury instead of into his pocket like the rest of the crooks in Congress; he is wise and patient, experienced and principled. Oh, no, let's put an untried, untested novice like Obama into the White House, or a witch like Hillary who is married to a known Traitor who gave China everything they need to blow us to pieces with intercontinental balistic missles in exchange for campaign money. Or let's vote for McCain; the "Songbird" who made propaganda films for the Viet Cong denouncing America so he wouldn't get tortured; (the other prisoners of the Hanoi Hilton are bringing it all out now, how McCain had his own cell and 3 meals a day for singing all the right songs) -- but he's against the ban on torture. The major news organizations are responsible only to the corporate masters they serve. Hence the media blackout on Ron Paul. Ian Woods of GLOBAL OUTLOOK magazine came up with an acronym for remembering the BIG SIX media conglomerates. Yeah, 6 CEOs call the shots on what we see and hear on TV and in the papers and magazines! The acronym is D A VI GE RM BAG... D = Disney (owns ABC, Touchstone Pictures, BuenaVista, Hollywood Pictures, Caravan Pictures, Miramax, The History Channel, A&E, Discover, etc-$34 billion in sales) A = AOL/Time Warner (owns CNN, HBO, Warner Bros., Castle Rock, TIME, Sports Illustrated, People, Entertainment Weekly, Money, Fortune, Netscape, etc-$53 billion in sales); GE = General Electric (owns NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, Universal Pictures, 13 TV stations, and is heavily involved in the aerospace and arms industry- $163 billion in sales); RM = Rupert Murdoch News Corp (owns FOX TV, DirecTV, TV Guide, New York Post, Harper Collins, 20th Century Fox, MySpace, etc-$31 billion in sales); BAG = Bertelsmann AG (owns Europe's RTL TV, Random House, Bantam Dell, Doubleday, Alfred A. Knopf, Vintage Books, etc-$21 billion in sales). Can you imagine a Board Meeting between the owners of these companies? It would be EASY for them to agree to ignore Ron Paul, or to promote McCain, or to put a positive spin on the war-- in short, to shape public opinion on just about any issue that matters to them. They have a HUGE financial stake in keeping the war going, and in preventing Ron Paul from getting his message out. And one thing you can be sure of: they are N

Comment: What boggles my mind is how people can listen to the logic in what Ron Paul is saying about the economic situation facing this country AND THEN turn to a candidate like McCain and say 'he's for me because change is scary'. Ron Paul is the only candidate that has been warning the American people about a danger that's been creeping up on us, and he's also the only one who has given us a solution: follow the constitution!

Comment: It is truly amazing just how the American voters lack the foresight to recognize a true forthright presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, as opposed to the political rhetoric and hollow promises espoused by the other candidates. Unfortunately, due to that lack of foresight, all you voters who did not support Ron Paul are about to receive another eight years of what you have now, a huge tax debt, loss of homes, recession, and illegal immigrants sucking up your tax dollars. There will be no CHANGE at the hands of those other candidates, who most likely, are supported by the same big corporations who are supporting G.W. now and resulting in our present governmental debt.

Comment: As an avid Ron Paul supporter, I have found it to be a great injustice to our country that the national media has completely ignored Dr. Paul. The most upsetting part of the whole situation is the media is taking advantage of their constitutional right, yet Dr. Paul remains a true constitutionalist even when he is disgraced and disserviced by the media. The media should get the picture and realize Dr. Paul is on their side. Even more upsetting is the fact that another media outlet, in their coverage of the weekend's primaries, continued to ignore Dr. Paul and still had Mitt Romney's stats even after he dropped out!

  • Posted By: M_Whetstone @ 02/12/2008 2:55:02 PM

Comment: It's already upsetting that Ron Paul won't be elected but i find it even more upsetting that he's not going to run as a third party. I think with his popularity on the rise that he would actually do better than he is now...well, let's think about that for a second. It bcoming very aparent that the average 90% of the population that cannot think for them selves and need to be told who to vote for are the ones who are going to make that decision, so guess what, we are doomed for another four years of more war and empty promices or more spending, taxes and empty promices.

Comment: After taking a U.S. history class this year, my 18-year-old son has become disillusioned with politics and the press. He says he could never run for office because he is not rich and because the news media is so unfair on presidential coverage. He is also upset because rules make it almost impossbile for an Independent to run and win. What can I say? He is right. The news media has completely ignored Ron Paul. Let's see Ron Paul's face on the cover of Newsweek. Prove to my son that the media is not biased!

Comment: Don't worry. You will see Ron Paul on the cover of Time Magizine.
Either as an example of what we should have done.
      Or as the President.
It's up to you and you son.

Comment: I am a registered independent and traditionally end up voting for a republican just so we do not end up with a presedent that is building an express way to socialism. I have supported Ron Paul from the "Git-Go" and will as long ashe is in the race. If McCain wins the Republican Nomination Ron Paul MUST run as an Independent. I can not vote for McCain and will not vote for Clinton or Obama.....as long as Ron Paul is running as any party I will whole heartedly support him. "Help Us Dr. Paul, you are our only hope".

  • Posted By: MissouriMountainMan @ 02/07/2008 7:42:21 PM

Comment: Here in Missouri Ron Paul came in second in some counties with up to 12% of the vote. Now that Romneys gone perhaps we can get down to business. I know I won't vote for John McCain and I suspect this will help Ron's campaign. I will contribute and support Dr. Paul, as a republican or an independent. Now more than ever I see the flaws of our primary, two party system. It's time for a change.

    Comment: HEADLINES USA
RON PAUL STAYS IN RACE TO DEBATE THE CANDIDATES WITH THE ISSUES!

Comment: One month into the Presidential election year, leading candidates have yet to address issues of urgent importance for every day life for Americans.

Health insurance industry, agribusiness giants, corporate criminals, nuclear power, energy providers pollution controls, big oil, big banks, drug companies, union busters, war profiteers, credit card companies, corporate Democrats in Congress and Corporate Republicans in Congress.

This list of issues has been ignored by the so called leading candidates for President of the United States. The private cable networks, who now sponsor Presidential debates, have worked overtime to exclude questions on these issues, not to mention the candidates and the civic groups supporting these issues.
What issues are the leading candidates now supposed to speak on while they wait out the American electorate until the Democrat???s and Republican Party???s convention?
The message is that the natives are restless. The leading candidates do not represent whom they claim to represent, if they did, issues would be on the table for discussion during Presidential debates.

The GOP should never have allowed this to take place and I'm ashamed of my party for letting this happen. If Ron Paul's word could reach all of America, believe me, McCain would not have a chance. You have no idea how loyal we Ron Paul followers are. To the end in 2008 - God Bless America and God Bless Dr. Ron Paul.

Comment: Your headline for this article is "Newsweek: Ron Paul on when he might drop out". This is typical of the slant that all articles on Dr. Paul have taken. Why can't it be "Newsweek: Ron Paul Stays For The Long Haul!", or "Newsweek: Dr. Paul Not a Quitter", or "Newsweek: Ron Paul Baffles the Media With His Undying Supporters". Those would be fair headlines.

Comment: I agree that the media is horrendously biased in terms of candidates. With either party, only the top two candidates are covered and the rest are ignored. Ron Paul's ideas are really striking and he would really help America (I don't agree with his taxation plan, though). Nonetheless, it is horrendous that the media's primary concern is covering drop-outs rather than the viewpoints of the candidates still in the race. Why don't you write an article about what he believes in?

  • Posted By: GWIS33054 @ 02/07/2008 2:46:23 PM

Comment: You people at Newsweek are like all the rest of the MSM, establishment apologists! Your extreme bias is apparent to all with a brain that hasn't been neutralized with your collectivist claptrap. Ron Paul has the answers for what ails America - you know it and I know it - so it makes absolutely no sense to be anything but excited about him. Instead, you have done and are doing all you can to exclude him, marginalize him and push him off the stage. You may win this battle this time but you and your establishment cronies will be the ones who loose their credibility in the hearts of the vast numbers of Americans who still want freedom over government beneficence, theft and serfdom. The fires of liberty are too difficult to extinguish and will eventually triumph over the socialism and globalism you embrace and propagandize for. How on earth you can be proud of this is beyond me. Every position he aspouses, if you give him time to explain, rings true. The vast ignorance of sound principle and history is on your side for sure - but this vail of confusion you are fostering will be ripped to pieces by truth. "Nothing is so powerful as truth, and often nothing so strange" - "Truth will ultimately prevail where enough pains are taken to bring it to light." It will be brought to light, collectivism will shatter and liberty will spread across the globe like never before. So why don't you just join the winning side now? You know we are right, and soon, the collectivist smoke and mirrors game will end.

Everyone needs to work at getting the word out, because, like someone said on here before there is always the write in, but also he could always run as independent too. He said himself that as long as his volunteers are showing up, and we don't lose hope, he will keep running.

Comment: This article is a great example of the blatant bias against Dr. Paul. The headline reads "Ron Paul on when he might drop out." What kind of headline is that? Ron Paul clearly says he won't drop out unless his support runs out. He's the only candidate who still has money left over from his contributions. McCain's campaign is in debt, Huckabee is broke, and Romney is spending more and more of his own money to keep himself in a distant second place to McCain. What does that say about these candidates on managing the economy? If they can't keep their own funds in the black, how will they help this nation's economic woes? Ron Paul is the only choice to save America and the Republican party from these big-government neo-cons.

Comment: What happens if Ralph Nader launches a campaign? Ron Paul, Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich are all very representative of what Americans want. Americans who are in the minority sad to say. It does not bode well for the nation that McCain has a lead for the Republican nominiation, nor that Clinton and Obama are having to battle it out. I want a four to eight year Executive Branch that battles in the manner of Nader, Paul and Kucinich. I do not want more of the same Republican Democrat Party in power.

Comment: I have to thank Bush for one thing - his 2 terms have made me more and more interested in understanding the politics of my country and why my country is where it is. I always leaned towards the democrats and considered them the only solution to the Bush "regime". I came to believe that nothing short of 2 consecutive democratic terms would change the course of our country towards a better direction. I watched the debates and candidate interviews - but for some reason remained unimpressed by anything anyone had to say. Some made tall promises. Some nimbly sidestepped the issues. Some played the blame game. Some sought the cover of catchphrases. Othes said the exact same thing as others in different words. Only one person stood out from the crowd as a true original - Ron Paul. And to my vast surprise - he was a Republican! The sound of real honesty and simplicity was so strange, having listened ad nauseum to the other candidates. I also found it equally strange that the more I wanted to know about him, the less I could depend on TV for that information. Anyway, having done my research on the internet, I realize that this is exactly the kind of president we need. Not a one-term US senator who mysteriously gets catapulted to the forefront by the media. Nor a democrat senator who will say anything to get elected but voted for the war in real life. Nor someone who believes the surge is great idea. Nor others who have neither any original ideas nor any real personality. I cannot understand why Ron doesn't have better leads in the primaries. Is he not campaigning enough? Perhaps tour more colleges and universities - since young people are getting more and more involved/aware of political issues these days. They may also be the most likely to give a grassroots candidate a real chance. Is it lack of campaign funds? Lack of media coverage? Are most of us so dependant on the idiot box for critical information, rather than use the internet? Whatever it is - he is the ONLY real candidate out there. And I say this being an admitted democrat, well not any more, I guess. It doesn't matter if he doesn't win - I don't expect him to - but he gets my vote. I feel good about being able to vote for someone I believe in, rather than vote for the candidate most likely to win. I wish him good health, good luck, long life, so that he can run again another day, if he doesn't win this time. I hope against hope that he will hang in there and swing the tide by November 08. He may not win the presidency - but he has definitely won over an emerging community of discerning voters. I hope this builds enough momentum to break through the farce being played out by the other candidates. Otherwise - we are in really deep trouble, and our children may have to live in a vastly diminished USA.

    Comment: Tiny Toons,

I look at that poor child below, and I think about my son. She???s not much bigger than him. Unfortunately, she and her family members had the gross misfortune of living in a country that is rich in oil deposits. The leader of that country tried to bring that oil to market to pay for his war debts, and 150,000+ Iraqis have died. 4,000+ Americans have died. 6,000+ service members have deserted. Tens of thousands of veterans have been maimed and psychologically scarred. The Iraqi people have lost control of their national treasure, so that they couldn???t compete with OPEC oil, AND EXXON-MOBILE JUST REPORTED $117 BILLION in FOURTH QUARTER PROFITS. I wonder how well BP is doing?

Since 9/11, no one in the Bush administration has been fired, impeached, demoted, nada. Thousands of people have been locked-up???not to get intel on al Qaeda, but to keep them from discussing how the CIA through the Pakistani Intelligence Services funded and trained them. Less than 10 people have been convicted of anything related to 9/11.

While ???Joe Bag-of-donuts??? is facing recession, foreclosure, and possibly bankruptcy, the NEO-CONs are lining their friends??? pockets to the tune of $609 Billion. In October 2007, the Congressional Budget Office projected that war costs for the next 10 years ight total an additional $570 billion if troop levels fell to 30,000 by 2010, or $1.1 trillion if troop levels fell to 75,000 by about 2013. Under these illustrative scenarios, CBO projects hat funding for Iraq, Afghanistan and the GWOT
could reach from about $1.2 trillion and $1.7 trillion for FY2001-FY2017.

Comment: By the way, some of the 9/11 hijackers received their visas at the US embassy in Saudi Arabia. Terrorists don???t cross freakin??? burnin??? Arizona desert land nor do they swim putrid rivers. They are well educated, highly skilled, well funded, and in some cases CIA-highly-trained operatives. Didn???t your representatives tell you? Seen it on the news? Oh yeah, that???s right, the war profiteers sit on the board of directors for media conglomerates and vice versa. If you had seen the 4000 coffins coming home, and the 4000 funerals, you might have decided to end this war. The war profiteers learned their lessons well during the Viet Nam conflict. The excuse given to you is that al-Qaeda will exploit the footage. Al-Qaeda can???t stop this war! ONLY YOU CAN!

The American Civil War was fought and won in less time! We defeated the Germans during WWI is less time! We defeated Hitler and Tojo in less time!

The Constitution has been damn near eviscerated just to fight a few thousand renegades that travel through the mountains on mules and horses. They travel overseas in cars, buses, trains, and planes. Are you sheep being led to the slaughter house? Our government knows what Al-qaeda???s capabilities are. Our government has been training and funding them for a few decades. YOU ARE THE ENEMY! Think about it! Habeas Corpus has been suspended! Did you know that?

Why is your government passing so much legislation to gather intelligence on you? Have you perused the USA Patriot Act? Why are DC citizens??? right to bear arms going before the Supreme Court? The Constitution plainly states that no law may infringe upon that right. God gave us our rights. Not our Government. We the people created a government IN ORDER TO FORM A MORE PERFECT UNION, ESTABLISH JUSTICE, ENJOY DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY, PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON DEFENSE, PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE, AND SECURE THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERTY TO OURSELVES AND OUR POSTERITY

Comment: The founding fathers knew that an armed citizenry must be able to defend itself FROM ITS OWN GOVERNMENT. Right now there is a bill before the Indiana House to require every round of ammunition for semi-automatic weapons be serialized. All un-serialized ammo must be disposed of by 2011. Why? The criminals are going to make their own ammo, steal some ammo, or buy it on the black market. This bill is supposed to be beneficial to law enforcement efforts when investigating gun-related crimes. From a military perspective, if I pull up to Joe Bag-of-donuts??? house, I???m a cop, and I have access to info concerning all of his registered weapons, and every round of ammunition he has purchased, that???s excellent intel! It???s called an enemy order of battle, folks. So, when I breach his property without a search warrant nor probable cause (USA Patriot Act), I know what I???m up against. Maybe, when his RFID drivers license is swiped at his job as he enters the building, that info gets forwarded to my superiors, and I can take his weapons before he gets home. If his wife is a stay-at-home mom who pays for her NRA membership via credit card, I must be prepared to take her down too.

Look, I don???t even own a gun though the navy taught me how to shoot several different types. My point is this???you and I have a higher chance of being struck by lightning than being killed by a terrorist. We have a much higher chance of living into our seventies and dying of cancer than being murdered. So, tell me why are our elected officials screwing around with your and my freedom? Benjamin Franklin said, ???Any society that would give up liberty to gain security will deserve neither and lose both.??? James Madison said, ???If Tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the disguise of fighting a foreign enemy.??? These men were so very smart! How many pillars of the Communist Manifesto have our federal government already implemented? You do realize that Karl Marx was inspired by Plato???s Republic? These issues are being discussed in plain sight, but your TV keeps you distracted. Talk radio keeps you distracted! Why is Heath Ledger???s death front page press for days, but you can???t get a daily update on the war dead from the same sources? You may be like that 400lb lion in the circus. The lion has the massive power to be free. His 175lb ???trainer??? points the chair???s four legs at the lion, and the lion can???t make up his mind what to attack because he???s befuddled with too many targets (distractions). Meanwhile, the trainer keeps cracking the whip making that lion dance.

Comment: Didn???t Mesopotamia lay the groundwork for civilization? Do people from that region have a history of constitutional republics? Why are we trying to install political systems from the barrel of a gun? Those people have history that stretches back thousands of years! Who are we to tell them how to govern themselves? I think they know what they???re doing. The Palestinians held a democratic election, and Hamas was victorious in winning a majority of seats in their legislature. Bush refused to recognize them. Why? The wrong people won! Pervez Musharaf is a Class A tyrant, does Bush care? Heck no! Pervez is a key player in the war against you???I mean war on terror.

Check out what Nobel prize winning economist Milton Friedman taught concerning Shock Doctrine. Naomi Kline provides a nice summary and several examples in her so named book.

Iran has been considered a state sponsor of terrorism. Did you know that Iran is rich with uranium deposits? What does it take to make a dirty bomb? TNT, C4, or some other high explosive, and uranium. No nuclear detonation required???just wind, alpha and beta particles. If Iran is such a threat, why haven???t they put a dirty bomb in any terrorists??? hands?

Don???t believe the hype about Iranian gunboats either! Talk to any sailor who has transited the Straits of Hormuz, and she will tell you that at any given time one???s ship is either in Iranian, Omanian, or UAE territorial waters. For decades, the Iranians have always sent gunboats out to identify who???s in transit. Have you seen nature shows when cape buffalo swat flies with their tails? That???s what a navy warship would do to an Iranian gun boat. We know it, and they do too. The fight would be over in 30 seconds! Didn???t Admiral James Bond Stockdale teach us the truth about the Gulf of Tonkin incident? The difference back then was that there weren???t ANY gunboats, patrol boats, nor torpedo boats underway when that lie was reported to President Johnson. Yet, we sent hundreds of thousands of troops to Viet Nam. Didn???t Nixon say he was going to bring our troops home with honor? That???s McCain and Huckabee???s new mantra. Nixon kept us in Nam for another seven years and expanded our operations in Laos and Cambodia. Now the ???Chicken Hawks??? are trying to sell a ???Gulf of Oman??? incident. Iran is the turd in the swimming pool. The Saudi sunnis don???t want the Iranian Shias to grow in power and influence over Iraqi oil.

  • Posted By: Maribelle @ 02/06/2008 10:47:40 AM

Comment: The Saudis have been funding the Bush Family network for more than 30 years. Do you think the Saudis are now callin??? in favors? You know they are! They want access to that Iraqi oil worse than the Iranians do. Some estimate that they own 7% or more of the US economy. That???s about $910 Billion. Do you think that buys them influence in the oval office? You know it does! Their fair share of congressional representation would be about 37 politicians. Use your common sense. Who???s fighting and dying to protect their interests? Does your family have any skin in this game? God help them! Have you noticed that our presidents never define what ???American interests??? are? I???ll bet you dollars to donuts that the American corporations who are outsourcing jobs overseas know what American interests are. Just read the commodities companies??? annual reports, and pres releases.
There???s an important reason why the Constitution states that our Armies are to be funded only for two years at a time. According to Attorney John Whitehead: Those who drafted the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights had an enormous distrust of standing armies. They knew that despotic governments have always used standing armies to control the people and impose tyranny. As James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, wrote, ???A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home.??? These ???instruments of tyranny??? are now in place. Thus, it may very well be that we are already living in a police state ??? and that it???s all over but the shouting. But still we have to shout.???
Don???t believe the hype! The border walls are needed to keep you in, not keep them out. By the way, the Great Wall of China didn???t work, the French Maginot Line didn???t work. Castle walls from Ireland to Bangalore, India have not worked. Stop dancing lion!

Our government is killing those people, our troops are protecting those pipelines, and multinational companies are taking their oil because nobody???s willing to stop it. While you???re shopping at Wal-Mart, Iran may be next, then Venezuela, then Nigeria, unless YOU do something about this!

Don't trust a word I have to say. Do your own research...start below.

Comment: 3 mos ago, two-time former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto said Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh killed Osama. You can find the interview on You Tube and English Al Jazeera (Frost on the World). Bhutto said the prior assassination attempt on her life financed by Pakistani gov't officials (Lt Gen Mahmood Ahmad, former Director of the Pakistani ISI). Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh paid more than $100k to Mohamed Atta for the ISI from CIA coffers. Omar was a Pakistani Brit student when recruited. Omar hijacked an Indian airplane. Omar was British MI-6. Omar beheaded several tourists. Omar killed journalist Daniel Pearl for investigating ISI and al-Qaeda. Bhutto was killed for letting the cat out the bag that Osama is dead. She had to be eliminated. Congress will pay the Pakistani gov't a $10 Billion re-imbursement for War on Terror expenses. WHY? Is that why you pay taxes? In the late 1980???s, Butto warned former CIA Director come President George H.W. Bush, ???You are creating a Frankenstein.??? (referring to the mujahedeen network???yeah the group that helped give birth to al-Qaeda). She was ignored.

If no Osama...no war...no war profits...no Anglo-American hegemony in the middle east...no war with Iran...no need for USA Patriot Act...no need for RFID National ID...the list goes on. $ Trillions are at stake! Your freedom is at stake!

Forget about political parties. Who's taking a stance to defend the constitution?

Name the only presidential candidate who doesn't belong to the Bilderberg Group, Council on Foreign Relations, nor Trilateral Commission. What are the stated goals of these organizations?

Sound crazy? Do your own research. You will find yourself reviewing the Revelation of St. John before it's all over.

I hope you think I???m a nut. Do your own research, before your children wake up with an RFID chip implanted in their heads just so they can vote. ???As Institute attorneys point out, photo IDs often contain far more information than that necessary to comply with voting requirements. For example, the Indiana driver???s license contains the address of the holder, information about the holder???s height and weight and the holder???s driver???s license number. Some older licenses also contain the holder???s Social Security number. And as the brief makes clear, anything that reduces the privacy of voting undermines both voter confidence and the integrity of the process.

The Institute???s brief also argues that Indiana???s photo ID requirement, if upheld, could open the door for states to require Real IDs as the only acceptable form of voter identification. Real IDs, in particular, pose a greater risk of abuse, as the biometric data contained on the cards could one day be obtained when the voter uses it to vote. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit decided in January 2007 to uphold the Indiana law. For purposes of review, Crawford v. Marion County Election Bd. was consolidated with Indiana Democratic Party v.

Comment: Ron Paul is a true American hero that truly cares about the welfare of the American people and the success of this country. No candidate has his wisdom or his integrity. Ron Paul supporters are "fiercely loyal" for a reason, we don't flip-flop between candidates because there is only one candidate. George Washington and our Founding Fathers would be horrified if they could see what is going on in this country that they sacrificed so much for. Anyone involved in the bias media that participated in humiliating Ron Paul or erasing him from the American airwaves should hang their heads in shame. This bias is un-American and those involved should resign from their influencial positions, or refuse to participate anymore in (what I would call) this corruption. I will vote for Ron Paul no matter what!

  • Posted By: Phallus_Maximus @ 02/06/2008 9:45:18 AM

Comment: John Mccain must have some some deal with diebold to flood fake votes in his name. Everybody hates John Mccain, he's been pushing for amnesty for years, he voted twice against Bush's tax cuts, he also worked with coalition of liberals to try and block the most conservative ob Bush's supreme court appointees. He has half the wit of Bush and twice the thirst for blood. "I'm gunna end pork barrel spending!!! " The man is a babbling idiot. And that is the same type of people who are voting, in addition to being incredibly ignorant and voting soley based TV commercials which they probably don't even fully grasp. And maybe a few saw 5 second sound bytes of him on the news and made their judgement based on that. America is *** people, Our 21st century american society is that of the complete and utter ignorant, lazy, indifferent, and quite possibly semi-retarded type of people. And it gets better, we give them the indiscriminating right to vote. You can quite literally have an iq of 55 and as long as you were born within our nations borders you could cast a ballot for who wields the government in the greatest country on earth. This notion that every featherless biped who is born on our soil should have the right to vote is absurd. It's going to be the death of us all. We need to bring back a poll tax, raise the voting age, and at least require a high school diploma with a 3.0 gpa. That would probably cut out 80 percent of the voting body, and then maybe we could actually get a decent government in place.

Comment: Ron Paul is a true American hero. Unfortunately the media sabotaged his campaign by erasing him from the airwaves, this is a criminal act. None of the "top tire" candidates would be where they are now if it weren't for the media putting them there. I am so saddened by the realization that our free country and democratic elections are nothing but a facade.

Comment: Okay..I have NEVER gotten involved in politics AT ALL. My dad showed me a CD he found in a gas station - Ron Paul's debate clips. I was very impressed. When do you ever see a candidate who does not hesitate, looking for the words they believe people want to hear? When do you EVER hear a candidate say the same EXACT thing over and over again, in plain english - you never have to follow a merry-go-round of crap to find his message. He NEVER contradicts himself, and he obviously supports the very document our country should be run by...when did the Constitution become a "book" of history, and stop being the "bible" our country should live by? Are people so wrapped up in the media that they cannot see and think clearly for themselves? What the HELL people - do you like the way our country is being run, do you like the road we are on economically, and democratically? I never in a million years thought I would even care about all this, and along comes Ron Paul. I have not voted for the past two years (I know that is not good, but I have my reasons, which are better than the ones I could have come up with to vote), I will vote this year - which brings me to my next beef....when did people become so ignorant...this is what I have been hearing (no joke!).."Ron Paul is great, he SHOULD be the next president - but, I am not going to vote for him because he won't get in, and I don't want to waste my vote. I would rather vote for the best of the worst than not have my vote count." - People, if you do not vote for the person you WANT to get in - then YOU ARE WASTING YOUR VOTE! Wake up America! I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to continue to bust my ass and never get ahead, while politicians make millions of dollars each year. If those in government really cared about us (Americans) they would not be so concerned with lining their pockets. They would want to make this a country where we all have homes, and food to eat. Does it make sense to ANYONE that those chosen to make the choices best for us, have more money than they could ever possibly spend, while we still have homeless people on our streets? Let's go to God knows where and fix all THEIR problems, and screw our own backyard. We need change! The only way to accomplish that is to vote - Ron Paul - what a shame it would be to overlook all the good he is looking to do for US, and continue in this downward spiral. Vote Paul - I know I am.

    (sorry for the rant -)

But people are idiots and don't see who the good people are. I support Ron Paul 110%!!! I believe he'd be awesome for the USA. I just wish everyone could realize that too instead of electing other corrupt liars. I also hate how on all these news coverages and meetings these dumbasses never let Ron Paul speak as much as he'd like because what he says is the TRUTH and the RIGHT. Comment: For those who think they are Americans, a few quotes.
    1) "The American fascist would prefer not to use violence. His method is to poison the channels of public information." Henry A. Wallace (33rd Vice President of USA)
    2) ???The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don???t do anything about it.??? Albert Einstein
    3) Am I the only guy in this country who's fed up with what's happening? Where the hell is our outrage? We should be screaming bloody murder. We've got a gang of clueless bozos steering our ship of state right over a cliff, we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind, and we can't even clean up after a hurricane much less build a hybrid car. But instead of getting mad, everyone sits around and nods their heads when the politicians say, "Stay the course." Stay the course? You've got to be kidding. This is America, not the damned Titanic. I'll give you a sound bite: Throw the bums out! ???Where Have All the Leaders Gone???? by Lee Iacocca

    4) Every nation deserves its government ??? it is its mirror. A wise man???s words
This is the beginning of the end of America. It goes exactly on the steps left on the sand by Soviet Union. Where is USSR now? It ceased to exist ??? DEAD! I am afraid to be right again on this one.
THERE IS AN OTHER WAY ??? THE US CONSTITUTION!
Don???t listen to lying media polls, listen to Ron Paul! The ONLY 2008 presidential candidate that makes any sense.

The Mass Media including MSNBC should be extremely ashamed of themselves, but of course they are fine because they help in our fascist regime. If this doesn't prove how intermixed corporations and the government are, I don't know what does.

Clinton, McCain, and Romney are dogs of war supported by the coal, oil, natural gas and nuclear lobby's with a good portion of American arms dealers kicking in bigger bucks. Private cable networks are ignoring America's voice with the staged, gamed and rated circus of the Presidential debates. Come November, Paul will be President!

Comment: Hey Americans!...any out there? Why don't any of you wonder why the Ron Paul campaign has gone nearly completely uncovered by mainstream media? Could it be because he's got something more important (and a bit closer to the truth) to say than the "marionettes" big business has placed in front of your faces on TV, Radio and Newspaper stands?

Wake up America! Just log onto Ron Paul's campaign website or Google Ron Paul and check out his campaign platform. Not only will it blow your socks off to learn you may just have a lot in common with Dr. Paul's plan for America's future, but you'll also be on your way to figuring out why you haven't heard much about him.

If you want to hang onto the thread of civil liberties left in America and keep big business from continuing their undue influence over your elected officials via gifts and "elbow-rubbing", and if you give a you-know-what about your children, grandchildren and their offspring, just take a look at what he's got to say. Stop believing everything that's shoved in front of your faces and open your hearts and minds to reason and clarity. Keep your children safe from tyranny and oppression...not just from foreign threats, but from those right here at home!

Just try it once...take a look...just take a peek at what he's trying to do to help America and remember...you and your children are all a part of this plan to SAVE AMERICA and rekindle the passion that spawned the Constitution of the United States America. Wake up America...or one of our domestic (and foreign-owned/invested in) banks will call the note on your personal freedoms and property (that just might include your mortgage...Huuuuhhh?)

Comment: This United States media and their black balling of DR Ron Paul is and will be the greatest injustice I have ever witnessed. I am ashamed of our media and what they have done to this nation as a whole, by leading the ignorant masses to follow after the Hillary and McCain in the destruction of America. The only hope we as American's have at this point in history is Dr. Paul. He is a honest American who beleive's in the Constitution of the United States, whom as President would bring it back to that great document that we all take for granted. He by doing that would alone improve the quality of life in these United States, as well as make the rest of this world Respect us again, and not fear us for our radical outlook on foriegn policy which by the way is unconstitutional. This truly is a shame, I predict that by 2012 we as a people will be resorted to standing in bread lines, our military will be depleted, and we will be as other third world countrys for our monetary system will be too far gone. Thank's to the Media and the ignorant voting masses for they will be the blame for the destruction of the greatest nation on earth. What a shame !!! Dr; Paul, to you Sir, I say this please know that there really is critical thinking, non politically correst constitution Loving people out there, however, we were outnumbered by the ignorant and a corrupt media. Why is it, when someone believes in The Constitution, The Bill of Rights and Proper Government with Accountability, they are deemed by the media, special interest groups and fellow politicians as "bigots and racists"???

CONGRESSMAN RON PAUL BELIEVES HIS COUNTRY CAN BE SO MUCH BETTER!!!

...stop the "overspending".....stop the "foreign aid" that has consequences........reduce the size of government that both the DEMs and REPUBLICANS have let flourish, etc., etc..........

Maybe it's time for all "Non-Believers" and "Naysayers" of Ron Paul...including voters, the special interest groups', their rich friends, and so-called "think tanks".... to sell their own houses', pick up a weapon, and deploy themselves into Afghanistan and Iraq....

....so the Troops can come back home!!!

...at least I will believe all of the "so-called" ivy league and 'self-professed believers' when they say they believe in the "Stars&Stripes" and it's actually worth dying for........instead of using the flag as a disguise to cover their dirty tracks....

Younger voters need to reach out more to older voters with documentaries like Why We Fight, and I highly recommend all the videos on http://inflationtax.blogspot.com

Comment: All media should be ashamed of itself. Paul is the only real voice of change in the jackass party. I'm a democrat and the best race would be between Paul and Obama.

Comment: I really think that it is time for a real candidate like Ron Paul to guide this country and to get the status quo polititions out of our lives and Washington.

Comment: I would thank Diebold too, but damn, they dont even need to rig this Election. We have bred enough Idiots for the Establishment to be free and clear to do what they like. This Reality Show (Primary) we are watching has already been decided for us. Go back to sleep.

Comment: The Republic is dead. Its true, people will look no further then their TV Sets. Thank you CIA Trainee Anderson Cooper for being a dik in the debates,, Frank Luntz and your fake polls(get a real job) with staged actors,, Fox News for exluding and laughing at Ron Paul(all), Glenn Beck for calling us terrorists and all you other Neo-Nazi Ultra Conservative Shite for Brains!

Comment: I will do nothing more than reiterate what has already been said time and time again in this response section. The media has selected their top runners and have left candidates like Ron Paul out in the cold. Unfortunately, people go no further than their television sets to "learn" about this country's next president. If the TV is as far as we as a people are willing to go, then perhaps we deserve economic and political despair.

Comment: This is proof that democracy has failed due to lazyness, ignorance, and media tampering. The media from the start has marginalized Ron Paul with every interview and every bit of press they give. The emphasis ends up being on that he is not a viable candidate and that is reason enough to not vote for him. No emphasis is given to his sound stances on the economy or with foreign policy which have been the two key issues for the election. Seriously, I've yet to read an article that has declared him to be a contender on the main stage from the mainstream media. Every mention follows it with a qualifier about the internet or immediately coming up with an excuse that would turn people away. No emphasis is put on the fact that McCain is as much of a hothead as Bobby Knight (complete with violent outbursts) or that Hillary Clinton's voting history is more in line with George W. Bush than anything resembling a traditional liberal. This effort from the media combined with an apathetic, lazy, ignorant voting public results in what we currently have where the most qualified people (Mike Gravel also has some solid ideas that should have seen more of a public light and given more consideration) get shoved off to the side, treated as freaks for not conforming to the status quo (because George W. Bush has set the bar so high that pushing it any farther would be unfair). And how come no one has challenged Romney on the Big Dig and all the various complications and scandals that have come with that? And how come everyone talks about terrorism like it started in the 70s or 80s?? The history leading up to what we know now stretches back to the Ottoman Empire's dismantling post-WWI and nobody even cares to know why they hate us and what we could do (besides killing millions) to solve the problem.

Also, to those who say he's gotten a fair shake: study the power of semantics more. The choices in words used reveals everything about how a candidate is perceived. It's been subtle but it's there.

Comment: Thanks for the window time for Dr Paul, this time is the time for change, people realize the encroachment by their Government and are tired of it.
Clean us up first, Go Ron Paul

Comment: Thanks for reporting on the message of Ron Paul. Your continued help to get Americans to look at his plan detailing how to get us out of this mess we are in is greatly appreciated.
His message is not just "what can I get from the govt" but "how can we get our country back from the growing and over reaching control of big govt. He is also a modern day "patriot" whose voting record reflects his true conservative values. The man knows about fiscal and monetary policy . Most Americans are not well enough informed(probably because we are all working to try to meet obligations) and we have to rely on the liberal news from CNN &MSNBC. Ron Paul wants to get us back to being a country that believes in Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Believe it or not America is a country, not just a mass market. DEN

Comment: Thanks for reporting about Ron Paul. If we had more of this Ron Paul might just be the front runner. If he doesn't win this time we will all suffer for another 4 years and the mess to clean up will become even more devastating. I sure hope enough people will listen to Ron Paul's interviews online and make their own judgement.

Comment: The way Mr. Ron Paul and Mr. Kucinch have been treated by the Republican and Democratic aggreements with MSNBC and CNN is more than an embarrassment. It is rigging the American grassroots selection process for democratic voice.

Comment: Actually, Ron Paul's candidacy shows "THE LIMITS" of private cable network interferrence in the American electoral process and the broadcasting of rigged debates! The private cable networks worked overtime to exclude Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Did they not? Maybe Americans should consider closing down private cable networks and prevent them from continuing their assault on our freedoms, especially while the US military is supposedly fighting for our freedoms. SHUT DOWN THE PRIVATE CABLE NETWORKS!!

Comment: I agree patriot brother. I have not had TV cable(cabal) since early 2001. It's a much better life and I'm much much more informed through my own digging for information contained in the internet. If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, all his supporters should on the day after the convention switch their voter registration to independent, and, cancel their TV cable.
