What effect has Ron Paul had on the American political process? Well, it cannot be accurately calculated at this point, but what about all the young people who are now researching and learning about the Constitution, limited government, the rights of individuals, foreign policy and all the other issues Dr. Paul is speaking out on? These are the folks who will be leading our country in the future, and I for one am very encouraged by what I am hearing from people who are now encouraged to step up to the plate and get involved in local, state and national politics (myself included) in an effort to follow Paul's example. I am excited to see what the future holds.

After taking a U.S. history class this year, my 18-year-old son has become disillusioned with politics and the press. He says he could never run for office because he is not rich and because the news media is so unfair on presidential coverage. He is also upset because rules make it almost impossbile for an Independent to run and win. What can I say? He is right. The news media has completely ignored Ron Paul. Let's see Ron Paul's face on the cover of Newsweek. Prove to my son that the media is not biased!

Don't worry. You will see Ron Paul on the cover of Time Magizine.
Either as an example of what we should have done.
      Or as the President.
It's up to you and you son.

Everyone needs to watch the documentary called "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised". It's about the situation in Venezuela with Hugo Chavez and his supporters. Very inspiring. I think Ron Paul supporters will like it especially.

The end of that comment I just posted should say: And one thing you can be sure of: They are NOT looking out for you and me.

Do you see the loyalty this man inspires?!!! We who support Ron Paul are NOT political geeks! We know that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. This isn't about "inspirational" speeches, or "it's time for a woman in the White House" nonsense; our lives are literally at stake here! WAKE UP AMERICA! We're losing everything that ever defined America. The media are just a bunch of bought-off traitors. Here we have a man who is custom-made for the Presidency. He has the solution to the economic mess we're in, he has a proven record of integrity and honesty, he puts any leftover money at the end of the year back into the Treasury instead of into his pocket like the rest of the crooks in Congress; he is wise and patient, experienced and principled. Oh, no, let's put an untried, untested novice like Obama into the White House, or a witch like Hillary who is married to a known Traitor who gave China everything they need to blow us to pieces with intercontinental balistic missles in exchange for campaign money. Or let's vote for McCain; the "Songbird" who made propaganda films for the Viet Cong denouncing America so he wouldn't get tortured; (the other prisoners of the Hanoi Hilton are bringing it all out now, how McCain had his own cell and 3 meals a day for singing all the right songs) -- but he's against the ban on torture. The major news organizations are responsible only to the corporate masters they serve. Hence the media blackout on Ron Paul. Ian Woods of GLOBAL OUTLOOK magazine came up with an acronym for remembering the BIG SIX media conglomerates. Yeah, 6 CEOs call the shots on what we see and hear on TV and in the papers and magazines! The acronym is D A VI GE RM BAG... D = Disney (owns ABC, Touchstone Pictures, BuenaVista, Hollywood Pictures, Caravan Pictures, Miramax, The History Channel, A&E, Discover, etc-$34 billion in sales) A = AOL/Time Warner (owns CNN, HBO, Warner Bros., Castle Rock, TIME, Sports Illustrated, People, Entertainment Weekly, Money, Fortune, Netscape, etc-$53 billion in sales); GE = General Electric (owns NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, Universal Pictures, 13 TV stations, and is heavily involved in the aerospace and arms industry- $163 billion in sales); RM = Rupert Murdoch News Corp (owns FOX TV, DirecTV, TV Guide, New York Post, Harper Collins, 20th Century Fox, MySpace, etc-$31 billion in sales); BAG = Bertelsmann AG (owns Europe's RTL TV, Random House, Bantam Dell, Doubleday, Alfred A. Knopf, Vintage Books, etc-$21 billion in sales). Can you imagine a Board Meeting between the owners of these companies? It would be EASY for them to agree to ignore Ron Paul, or to promote McCain, or to put a positive spin on the war-- in short, to shape public opinion on just about any issue that matters to them. They have a HUGE financial stake in keeping the war going, and in preventing Ron Paul from getting his message out. And one thing you can be sure of: they are N

It's sad that Dr Paul will not be a candidate for President as a Third Partycandidate People will forget his message, People have a short memory

  • Posted By: albany @ 02/14/2008 6:40:37 PM

it 's upsetting to know that Dr Paul will not run as a 3rd party candidate. I feel everything he saud will be lost when it comes time for the general election, people will forget. they have short memories.

What boggles my mind is how people can listen to the logic in what Ron Paul is saying about the economic situation facing this country AND THEN turn to a candidate like McCain and say 'he's for me because change is scary'. Ron Paul is the only candidate that has been warning the American people about a danger that's been creeping up on us, and he's also the only one who has given us a solution: follow the constitution!

It is truly amazing just how the American voters lack the foresight to recognize a true forthright presidential candidate, Dr. Ron Paul, as opposed to the political rhetoric and hollow promises espoused by the other candidates. Unfortunately, due to that lack of foresight, all you voters who did not support Ron Paul are about to receive another eight years of what you have now, a huge tax debt, loss of homes, recession, and illegal immigrants sucking up your tax dollars. There will be no CHANGE at the hands of those other candidates, who most likely, are supported by the same big corporations who are supporting G.W. now and resulting in our present governmental debt.

As an avid Ron Paul supporter, I have found it to be a great injustice to our country that the national media has completely ignored Dr. Paul. The most upsetting part of the whole situation is the media is taking advantage of their constitutional right, yet Dr. Paul remains a true constitutionalist even when he is disgraced and disserviced by the media. The media should get the picture and realize Dr. Paul is on their side. Even more upsetting is the fact that another media outlet, in their coverage of the weekend's primaries, continued to ignore Dr. Paul and still had Mitt Romney's stats even after he dropped out!

  • Posted By: M_Whetstone @ 02/12/2008 2:55:02 PM

It's already upsetting that Ron Paul won't be elected but i find it even more upsetting that he's not going to run as a third party. I think with his popularity on the rise that he would actually do better than he is now...well, let's think about that for a second. It bcoming very aparent that the average 90% of the population that cannot think for them selves and need to be told who to vote for are the ones who are going to make that decision, so guess what, we are doomed for another four years of more war and empty promices or more spending, taxes and empty promices.

You know that the media is lying about how many deligates he Paul has. he has at least 42. There is also suspician of voter fraud and poll tampering.

This article is a great example of the blatant bias against Dr. Paul. The headline reads "Ron Paul on when he might drop out." What kind of headline is that? Ron Paul clearly says he won't drop out unless his support runs out. He's the only candidate who still has money left over from his contributions. McCain's campaign is in debt, Huckabee is broke, and Romney is spending more and more of his own money to keep himself in a distant second place to McCain. What does that say about these candidates on managing the economy? If they can't keep their own funds in the black, how will they help this nation's economic woes? Ron Paul is the only choice to save America and the Republican party from these big-government neo-cons.

You know I never thought of it like that. Good point.

I am in a state that gave Romney a win. I talked to a number of other Delegates today and we will vote for Ron Paul at the convention.

      Yippee!! Sounds good to me

  • Posted By: nwilson @ 02/07/2008 4:16:14 PM

I believe if it were not for the media blackout against this candidate he would be,the front runner. The GOP should never have allowed this to take place and I'm ashamed of my party for letting this happen. If Ron Paul's word could reach all of America, believe me, McCain would not have a chance. You have no idea how loyal we Ron Paul followers are. To the end in 2008 - God Bless America and God Bless Dr. Ron Paul.

    • Posted By: rdixiesunrise61 @ 02/09/2008 10:36:08 AM

I am totally with you on this Nwilson. May god bless Ron Paul! Go Ron!

  • Posted By: aunt_melly @ 02/08/2008 12:19:05 AM

I am a registered independent and traditionally end up voting for a republican just so we do not end up with a presedent that is building an express way to socialism. I have supported Ron Paul from the "Git-Go" and will as long ashe is in the race. If McCain wins the Republican Nomination Ron Paul MUST run as an Independent. I can not vote for McCain and will not vote for Clinton or Obama.....as long as Ron Paul is running as any party I will whole heartedly support him. "Help Us Dr. Paul, you are our only hope".

  • Posted By: MissouriMountainMan @ 02/07/2008 7:42:21 PM

Here in Missouri Ron Paul came in second in some counties with up to 12% of the vote. Now that Romneys gone perhaps we can get down to business. I know I won't vote for John McCain and I suspect this will help Ron's campaign. I will contribute and support Dr. Paul, as a republican or an independent. Now more than ever I see the flaws of our primary, two party system. It's time for a change.

  • Posted By: gailjace @ 02/07/2008 4:48:37 PM

I hope and pray that Dr. Paul will decide to run as an independent...he needs to disassociate with either party as they are so clearly controlled by "a selected few". WE NEED RON PAUL more than ever - he owes no allegiance to anyone or anything EXCEPT his and our Country!!!
