Your headline for this article is "Newsweek: Ron Paul on when he might drop out". This is typical of the slant that all articles on Dr. Paul have taken. Why can't it be "Newsweek: Ron Paul Stays For The Long Haul!", or "Newsweek: Dr. Paul Not a Quitter", or "Newsweek: Ron Paul Baffles the Media With His Undying Supporters". Those would be fair headlines.

I agree that the media is horrendously biased in terms of candidates. With either party, only the top two candidates are covered and the rest are ignored. Ron Paul's ideas are really striking and he would really help America (I don't agree with his taxation plan, though). Nonetheless, it is horrendous that the media's primary concern is covering drop-outs rather than the viewpoints of the candidates still in the race. Why don't you write an article about what he believes in?

You people at Newsweek are like all the rest of the MSM, establishment apologists! Your extreme bias is apparent to all with a brain that hasn't been neutralized with your collectivist claptrap. Ron Paul has the answers for what ails America - you know it and I know it - so it makes absolutely no sense to be anything but excited about him. Instead, you have done and are doing all you can to exclude him, marginalize him and push him off the stage. You may win this battle this time but you and your establishment cronies will be the ones who loose their credibility in the hearts of the vast numbers of Americans who still want freedom over government beneficence, theft and serfdom. The fires of liberty are too difficult to extinguish and will eventually triumph over the socialism and globalism you embrace and propagandize for. How on earth you can be proud of this is beyond me. Every position he aspouses, if you give him time to explain, rings true. The vast ignorance of sound principle and history is on your side for sure - but this vail of confusion you are fostering will be ripped to pieces by truth. "Nothing is so powerful as truth, and often nothing so strange" - "Truth will ultimately prevail where enough pains are taken to bring it to light." It will be brought to light, collectivism will shatter and liberty will spread across the globe like never before. So why don't you just join the winning side now? You know we are right, and soon, the collectivist smoke and mirrors game will end.

I truly believe that Ron Paul is our country's best hope for recovering from all of the trouble that our previous leaders have gotten us into. Everyone needs to work at getting the word out, because, like someone said on here before there is always the write in, but also he could always run as independent too. He said himself that as long as his volunteers are showing up, and we don't lose hope, he will keep running.

Even if Ron Paul does not get the delegate counts he can still become the President, you do NOT have to mark the boxes you are given, you can "write in" your vote, WE ALL need to vote for Ron Paul! He is the man that can help save our nation, he is the only candidate that is saying "look, this country is broken" and making serious plans to fix it! Please forget about petty partisanship, help our country and yourself, vote for Ron Paul before it's too late!

I am so proud of Ron Paul. He definately has a lot more balls than most of the idiots running. If the media had actually given him a chance he could have made it big. If the media wasn't controlled by big business and if Americans would wake up and actually see what is going on in the world with New World Order and the big elite taking down this country so they can control everything. Americans don't really know the real reason WHY we are in IRAQ?! WAKE UP!!!!! Read Ron Pauls Book "Foreign Policy On Freedom" and you will open your eyes a little. Ron Paul is the only hope for America and He NEEDS to stay in this race for the good of this country and the rights of the American people!

This article is a great example of the blatant bias against Dr. Paul. The headline reads "Ron Paul on when he might drop out." What kind of headline is that? Ron Paul clearly says he won't drop out unless his support runs out. He's the only candidate who still has money left over from his contributions. McCain's campaign is in debt, Huckabee is broke, and Romney is spending more and more of his own money to keep himself in a distant second place to McCain. What does that say about these candidates on managing the economy? If they can't keep their own funds in the black, how will they help this nation's economic woes? Ron Paul is the only choice to save America and the Republican party from these big-government neo-cons.

I have to thank Bush for one thing - his 2 terms have made me more and more interested in understanding the politics of my country and why my country is where it is. I always leaned towards the democrats and considered them the only solution to the Bush "regime". I came to believe that nothing short of 2 consecutive democratic terms would change the course of our country towards a better direction. I watched the debates and candidate interviews - but for some reason remained unimpressed by anything anyone had to say. Some made tall promises. Some nimbly sidestepped the issues. Some played the blame game. Some sought the cover of catchphrases. Othes said the exact same thing as others in different words. Only one person stood out from the crowd as a true original - Ron Paul. And to my vast surprise - he was a Republican! The sound of real honesty and simplicity was so strange, having listened ad nauseum to the other candidates. I also found it equally strange that the more I wanted to know about him, the less I could depend on TV for that information. Anyway, having done my research on the internet, I realize that this is exactly the kind of president we need. Not a one-term US senator who mysteriously gets catapulted to the forefront by the media. Nor a democrat senator who will say anything to get elected but voted for the war in real life. Nor someone who believes the surge is great idea. Nor others who have neither any original ideas nor any real personality. I cannot understand why Ron doesn't have better leads in the primaries. Is he not campaigning enough? Perhaps tour more colleges and universities - since young people are getting more and more involved/aware of political issues these days. They may also be the most likely to give a grassroots candidate a real chance. Is it lack of campaign funds? Lack of media coverage? Are most of us so dependant on the idiot box for critical information, rather than use the internet? Whatever it is - he is the ONLY real candidate out there. And I say this being an admitted democrat, well not any more, I guess. It doesn't matter if he doesn't win - I don't expect him to - but he gets my vote. I feel good about being able to vote for someone I believe in, rather than vote for the candidate most likely to win. I wish him good health, good luck, long life, so that he can run again another day, if he doesn't win this time. I hope against hope that he will hang in there and swing the tide by November 08. He may not win the presidency - but he has definitely won over an emerging community of discerning voters. I hope this builds enough momentum to break through the farce being played out by the other candidates. Otherwise - we are in really deep trouble, and our children may have to live in a vastly diminished USA.

Ron Paul is unrealistic and has derailed normally democratic Hippies with illusions of legalized weed. End of Story.

    Tiny Toons,

I look at that poor child below, and I think about my son. She???s not much bigger than him. Unfortunately, she and her family members had the gross misfortune of living in a country that is rich in oil deposits. The leader of that country tried to bring that oil to market to pay for his war debts, and 150,000+ Iraqis have died. 4,000+ Americans have died. 6,000+ service members have deserted. Tens of thousands of veterans have been maimed and psychologically scarred. The Iraqi people have lost control of their national treasure, so that they couldn???t compete with OPEC oil, AND EXXON-MOBILE JUST REPORTED $117 BILLION in FOURTH QUARTER PROFITS. I wonder how well BP is doing?

Since 9/11, no one in the Bush administration has been fired, impeached, demoted, nada. Thousands of people have been locked-up???not to get intel on al Qaeda, but to keep them from discussing how the CIA through the Pakistani Intelligence Services funded and trained them. Less than 10 people have been convicted of anything related to 9/11.

While ???Joe Bag-of-donuts??? is facing recession, foreclosure, and possibly bankruptcy, the NEO-CONs are lining their friends??? pockets to the tune of $609 Billion. In October 2007, the Congressional Budget Office projected that war costs for the next 10 years ight total an additional $570 billion if troop levels fell to 30,000 by 2010, or $1.1 trillion if troop levels fell to 75,000 by about 2013. Under these illustrative scenarios, CBO projects hat funding for Iraq, Afghanistan and the GWOT
could reach from about $1.2 trillion and $1.7 trillion for FY2001-FY2017.
