The founding fathers knew that an armed citizenry must be able to defend itself FROM ITS OWN GOVERNMENT. Right now there is a bill before the Indiana House to require every round of ammunition for semi-automatic weapons be serialized. All un-serialized ammo must be disposed of by 2011. Why? The criminals are going to make their own ammo, steal some ammo, or buy it on the black market. This bill is supposed to be beneficial to law enforcement efforts when investigating gun-related crimes. From a military perspective, if I pull up to Joe Bag-of-donuts??? house, I???m a cop, and I have access to info concerning all of his registered weapons, and every round of ammunition he has purchased, that???s excellent intel! It???s called an enemy order of battle, folks. So, when I breach his property without a search warrant nor probable cause (USA Patriot Act), I know what I???m up against. Maybe, when his RFID drivers license is swiped at his job as he enters the building, that info gets forwarded to my superiors, and I can take his weapons before he gets home. If his wife is a stay-at-home mom who pays for her NRA membership via credit card, I must be prepared to take her down too.

Look, I don???t even own a gun though the navy taught me how to shoot several different types. My point is this???you and I have a higher chance of being struck by lightning than being killed by a terrorist. We have a much higher chance of living into our seventies and dying of cancer than being murdered. So, tell me why are our elected officials screwing around with your and my freedom? Why is Heath Ledger???s death front page press for days, but you can???t get a daily update on the war dead from the same sources? You may be like that 400lb lion in the circus. The lion has the massive power to be free. His 175lb ???trainer??? points the chair???s four legs at the lion, and the lion can???t make up his mind what to attack because he???s befuddled with too many targets (distractions). Meanwhile, the trainer keeps cracking the whip making that lion dance.

Didn???t Mesopotamia lay the groundwork for civilization? Do people from that region have a history of constitutional republics? Why are we trying to install political systems from the barrel of a gun? Those people have history that stretches back thousands of years! Who are we to tell them how to govern themselves? I think they know what they???re doing. The Palestinians held a democratic election, and Hamas was victorious in winning a majority of seats in their legislature. Bush refused to recognize them. Why? Didn???t Admiral James Bond Stockdale teach us the truth about the Gulf of Tonkin incident? The difference back then was that there weren???t ANY gunboats, patrol boats, nor torpedo boats underway when that lie was reported to President Johnson. Yet, we sent hundreds of thousands of troops to Viet Nam. Didn???t Nixon say he was going to bring our troops home with honor? That???s McCain and Huckabee???s new mantra. Nixon kept us in Nam for another seven years and expanded our operations in Laos and Cambodia. Now the ???Chicken Hawks??? are trying to sell a ???Gulf of Oman??? incident. Iran is the turd in the swimming pool. The Saudi sunnis don???t want the Iranian Shias to grow in power and influence over Iraqi oil.

The Saudis have been funding the Bush Family network for more than 30 years. Do you think the Saudis are now callin??? in favors? You know they are! They want access to that Iraqi oil worse than the Iranians do. Some estimate that they own 7% or more of the US economy. That???s about $910 Billion. Do you think that buys them influence in the oval office? You know it does! Their fair share of congressional representation would be about 37 politicians. Use your common sense. There???s an important reason why the Constitution states that our Armies are to be funded only for two years at a time. They knew that despotic governments have always used standing armies to control the people and impose tyranny. As James Madison, the Father of the Constitution, wrote, ???A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home.??? These ???instruments of tyranny??? are now in place. Thus, it may very well be that we are already living in a police state ??? and that it???s all over but the shouting. But still we have to shout.???

Ron Paul is a true American hero that truly cares about the welfare of the American people and the success of this country. No candidate has his wisdom or his integrity. Ron Paul supporters are "fiercely loyal" for a reason, we don't flip-flop between candidates because there is only one candidate. George Washington and our Founding Fathers would be horrified if they could see what is going on in this country that they sacrificed so much for. Anyone involved in the bias media that participated in humiliating Ron Paul or erasing him from the American airwaves should hang their heads in shame. John Mccain must have some some deal with diebold to flood fake votes in his name. Everybody hates John Mccain, he's been pushing for amnesty for years, he voted twice against Bush's tax cuts, he also worked with coalition of liberals to try and block the most conservative ob Bush's supreme court appointees. He has half the wit of Bush and twice the thirst for blood. "I'm gunna end pork barrel spending!!! " The man is a babbling idiot. And that is the same type of people who are voting, in addition to being incredibly ignorant and voting soley based TV commercials which they probably don't even fully grasp. And maybe a few saw 5 second sound bytes of him on the news and made their judgement based on that. America is *** people, Our 21st century american society is that of the complete and utter ignorant, lazy, indifferent, and quite possibly semi-retarded type of people. And it gets better, we give them the indiscriminating right to vote. You can quite literally have an iq of 55 and as long as you were born within our nations borders you could cast a ballot for who wields the government in the greatest country on earth. This notion that every featherless biped who is born on our soil should have the right to vote is absurd. It's going to be the death of us all. We need to bring back a poll tax, raise the voting age, and at least require a high school diploma with a 3.0 gpa. That would probably cut out 80 percent of the voting body, and then maybe we could actually get a decent government in place.

Ron Paul is a true American hero. Unfortunately the media sabotaged his campaign by erasing him from the airwaves, this is a criminal act. None of the "top tire" candidates would be where they are now if it weren't for the media putting them there. I am so saddened by the realization that our free country and democratic elections are nothing but a facade.

Okay..I have NEVER gotten involved in politics AT ALL. My dad showed me a CD he found in a gas station - Ron Paul's debate clips. I was very impressed. When do you ever see a candidate who does not hesitate, looking for the words they believe people want to hear? When do you EVER hear a candidate say the same EXACT thing over and over again, in plain english - you never have to follow a merry-go-round of crap to find his message. He NEVER contradicts himself, and he obviously supports the very document our country should be run by...when did the Constitution become a "book" of history, and stop being the "bible" our country should live by? Are people so wrapped up in the media that they cannot see and think clearly for themselves? What the HELL people - do you like the way our country is being run, do you like the road we are on economically, and democratically? I never in a million years thought I would even care about all this, and along comes Ron Paul. I have not voted for the past two years (I know that is not good, but I have my reasons, which are better than the ones I could have come up with to vote), I will vote this year - which brings me to my next beef....when did people become so ignorant...this is what I have been hearing (no joke!).."Ron Paul is great, he SHOULD be the next president - but, I am not going to vote for him because he won't get in, and I don't want to waste my vote. I would rather vote for the best of the worst than not have my vote count." - People, if you do not vote for the person you WANT to get in - then YOU ARE WASTING YOUR VOTE! Wake up America! I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to continue to bust my ass and never get ahead, while politicians make millions of dollars each year. If those in government really cared about us (Americans) they would not be so concerned with lining their pockets. They would want to make this a country where we all have homes, and food to eat. Does it make sense to ANYONE that those chosen to make the choices best for us, have more money than they could ever possibly spend, while we still have homeless people on our streets? Let's go to God knows where and fix all THEIR problems, and screw our own backyard. We need change! The only way to accomplish that is to vote - Ron Paul - what a shame it would be to overlook all the good he is looking to do for US, and continue in this downward spiral. Vote Paul - I know I am.

Only once in a blue moon do the good guys actually make it through like Ronald Reagan. What an amazing president he was and I believe that Ron Paul would be another amazing one. This United States media and their black balling of DR Ron Paul is and will be the greatest injustice I have ever witnessed.
