I would like to say the worst media blackout I have seen has been on NPR. People really need to be more skeptical about those guys. I used to be a big supporter until I noticed they wouldn't cover Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, or Chris Dodd. The worst part is they are publicly funded.

They suck. Thank you News Week for at least acknowlodging he exists. For more complaints about NPR see http://mrxfromplanetx.com/category/npr Even though I was going to vote for Barrack Obama (I had voted for Bush put the Republican party had ticket me off), I decided to vote for Ron Paul because of where he stands on all the issues, and the Inflation Tax issue http://inflationtax.blogspot.com

We all need to get copies of these videos and give them to older voters who aren't on the Internet.

All media should be ashamed of itself. Paul is the only real voice of change in the jackass party. I'm a democrat and the best race would be between Paul and Obama.

It wasn't easy finding this article on Ron Paul...thanks to the media trying to bury him. The comment about Mike Huckabee about him being one of the "Three Stooges" made me feel bad because if Gov. Huckabee was not my candidate, I would vote for Ron Paul. I support the Fair Tax 100%. Being as how our country cannot, at this time in our history, turn around decades of erosion in 4-8 short years, at least with Gov. Huckabee, we have a chance to at least start in that direction. In my opinion, from what I have learned, Dr. Paul wants to do this all at once, which could be disasterous.. Governor Huckabee is not a stooge for anyone. You should check him out. You may find that his ideals are not that much different from Dr. Paul's.

"Dr. Paul wants to do this all at once, which could be disasterous"... Lucy, you mean follow the constitution would be 'disasterous'. Our county is on the path to ruin, we are in a state of disaster. the only person who has the integrity and understanding of the Presidency under the constitution is Ron Paul. I can't believe it - you have believed the lie from the media.

      Lucy,
Our country is facing disaster right now. The people who have gotten us here works in Washington DC. The only person who follows the constitution is Ron Paul - that's the responsibility of our President. It's really not to fix all of our social and economic problems - which by the way were created by our current government - CAN YOU HEAR ME - WE ARE IN DISASTER NOW.....

Lucy needs to Google Huckabee's Ethics. He has covered up torture and murder. He DOES NOT have a degree in theology. www.taxhikemike.org Wake up dear

Lucy's need to see how "Mr. Ethics" who DOES NOT have a degree in theology., has been repremanded and covered up violence and murder. Google Huckabee's Ethics. www.taxhikemike.org

I really think that it is time for a real candidate like Ron Paul to guide this country and to get the status quo polititions out of our lives and Washington.

I would thank Diebold too, but damn, they dont even need to rig this Election. We have bred enough Idiots for the Establishment to be free and clear to do what they like. This Reality Show (Primary) we are watching has already been decided for us. Go back to sleep.

The Republic is dead. Its true, people will look no further then their TV Sets. Thank you CIA Trainee Anderson Cooper for being a dik in the debates,, Frank Luntz and your fake polls(get a real job) with staged actors,, Fox News for exluding and laughing at Ron Paul(all), Glenn Beck for calling us terrorists and all you other Neo-Nazi Ultra Conservative Shite for Brains!

  • Posted By: pbergeron @ 02/05/2008 5:04:25 PM

I will do nothing more than reiterate what has already been said time and time again in this response section. The media has selected their top runners and have left candidates like Ron Paul out in the cold. Unfortunately, people go no further than their television sets to "learn" about this country's next president. If the TV is as far as we as a people are willing to go, then perhaps we deserve economic and political despair.

This is proof that democracy has failed due to lazyness, ignorance, and media tampering. The media from the start has marginalized Ron Paul with every interview and every bit of press they give. The emphasis ends up being on that he is not a viable candidate and that is reason enough to not vote for him. No emphasis is given to his sound stances on the economy or with foreign policy which have been the two key issues for the election. Seriously, I've yet to read an article that has declared him to be a contender on the main stage from the mainstream media. Every mention follows it with a qualifier about the internet or immediately coming up with an excuse that would turn people away. No emphasis is put on the fact that McCain is as much of a hothead as Bobby Knight (complete with violent outbursts) or that Hillary Clinton's voting history is more in line with George W. Bush than anything resembling a traditional liberal. This effort from the media combined with an apathetic, lazy, ignorant voting public results in what we currently have where the most qualified people (Mike Gravel also has some solid ideas that should have seen more of a public light and given more consideration) get shoved off to the side, treated as freaks for not conforming to the status quo (because George W. Bush has set the bar so high that pushing it any farther would be unfair). And how come no one has challenged Romney on the Big Dig and all the various complications and scandals that have come with that? And how come everyone talks about terrorism like it started in the 70s or 80s?? The history leading up to what we know now stretches back to the Ottoman Empire's dismantling post-WWI and nobody even cares to know why they hate us and what we could do (besides killing millions) to solve the problem.

Also, to those who say he's gotten a fair shake: study the power of semantics more. The choices in words used reveals everything about how a candidate is perceived. It's been subtle but it's there.

Thanks for the window time for Dr Paul, this time is the time for change, people realize the encroachment by their Government and are tired of it.
Clean us up first, Go Ron Paul

  • Posted By: denathpn @ 02/05/2008 4:27:20 PM

Thanks for reporting on the message of Ron Paul. Your continued help to get Americans to look at his plan detailing how to get us out of this mess we are in is greatly appreciated.
His message is not just "what can I get from the govt" but "how can we get our country back from the growing and over reaching control of big govt. He is also a modern day "patriot" whose voting record reflects his true conservative values. The man knows about fiscal and monetary policy . Most Americans are not well enough informed(probably because we are all working to try to meet obligations) and we have to rely on the liberal news from CNN &MSNBC. Ron Paul wants to get us back to being a country that believes in Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Believe it or not America is a country, not just a mass market. DEN

I hate that Ron PAul might have to consider dropping out. If the medai would cover him like they cover the
other candidates and let him answer questions EVERYONE would get a fair chance to know where he stands. I am frustrated by the media censorship of a great candidate for America. I have totally lost my faith in the AMERICAN way and our election process. UNConstitutional government by the few and sheep followers led by the media.

    • Posted By: wyocby @ 02/05/2008 4:12:48 PM

Ron Paul has been in every debate and had plenty of opportunity to share his message...a message that I don't totally disagree with. To suggest that he is the only candidate to not be treated fairly is a bit naive however. McCain supporters can make the same argument about talk radio as can the Huckabee capaign. Main stream media has been nothing but negative toward Romney as well. If you don't believe me just try bringing up all the stories of Romney and see if there are any possitive stories at all.

I will agree that this process is anything but fair but I don't see that Dr. Paul is the only one being delt a bad hand.

I would consider voting for Ron Paul if it weren't for his stance on foriegn policy. Maybe I mis-understand it but just pulling out and bringing all our troups home is just a bit scary to me.

Thanks for reporting about Ron Paul. If we had more of this Ron Paul might just be the front runner. If he doesn't win this time we will all suffer for another 4 years and the mess to clean up will become even more devastating. It is an absolute disgrace on the media's part. The American people deserve to hear the issues of EACH candidate EQUALLY. Ron Paul has not had a fair shot by being blocked and suppressed by the media. Ron Paul wants what is best for the people of this country; it is just that simple. If the American people have a chance to hear what he has to say, everyone would realize this. It is an embarrassment how he has been treated.

LOOKS LIKE THE MEDIA GOT WHAT THEY WANTED....A TWO HORSE RACE IN BOTH PARTIES. THEY CONVINCED MOST VOTERS THAT RON PAUL IS A "NUT". FORGET ABOUT HIS INTEGRITY AND HIS VOTING RECORD OVER THE YEARS. JUST VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE GAME SHOW HOST AND STAND BY FOR FOUR MORE YEARS OF BIZZ AS USUAL.

Kind of hard to have anything other than an online campaign when there is a media black out now isn't it??? I call BS!!!
