I think the media needs to give fair coverage to the accomplishments of hillary and not just Obama.
I would tthink her win, a landslide at that, last night in Massachuesetts would be akin to the media hype of his win in South Carolina. Yet no big headlines. All we here is he is the voice of change. It would be nice if that were the case that he would be more substantive about what it is he would do, instead of doing his best MLK, JFK impersonations. Hillary Clinton has worked diligently for over 30 yrs for the well being of all of us here in this country and rightfully deserves the democratic nomination and a chance to be president. Barak Obama needs to spend a few more years maturing and be ready to take over after she has served her terms. Wouldn't it be great for this country to be able to have and hold the white house for the next 16 years.
We truly would be a better country for it and the world would be better for it as well. So I ask all democrats, independents and dissillusioned republicans to cast their vote for Hillary Clinton so we can truly and REALISTICALLY begin to rebuild our country

The fact of the matter is that everyone keeps talking about experience that Hillary has, what experience. She has only been a senator, just like Barack. She was not the president, she was the first lady of the white house. No matter how everyone trys to sugar coat it, she was not running the country. The media has been down Baracks throat this whole election, trying to discredit him and his campaign by reducing it to race. He quotes two very great men, not impersonates them. It's so sad that everyone has to insult Barack to get their point accross. Last night was a victory for both of them, and it symbolizes this race is far from over.

When did we become so blind in this Country, that we will allow someone with Obama's history to run for our highest elected office? Not only did Obama attend a Wahabi Islamic school in his youth (Wahabi Islam is what has bred the extremist movements), the guy is currently a member of a Church in Chicago that is obviously a Black Nationalist organization. When our Country is destroyed from the inside out, we can only blame ourselves.

    • Posted By: MDavis62 @ 02/06/2008 11:32:28 AM

So our current "Catholic" president hasn't destroyed the country...have you been living on Earth long or did you just get here yesterday. We are in a war that we shouldn't be in due to our current Catholic president put us in. We are in the worst economic state due to our current "Catholic" president and we our dollar is worth nothing due to our current "Catholic" president. Before you throw mud at anyone's religious choice...please do your homework first.

    • Posted By: AWoman4Change @ 02/06/2008 10:44:58 AM

No words except you are ignorant, and very closed mind. He is a member of a Christian Church but I guess because large numbers of black people go there then its black nationalist. You idiot, apparantly all the racists come on this site to air their stupid views.

Hillary is the same ole', same ole'...She speaks of experience, in what? She has been only in the shadow of a great President, thats all. She is nothing but a politician who will bring broken promises and more of the political garb we are used to. Obama, yes, less experienced in politics, is what we need. America must get rid of the lobbyists who have been, and are still the :"voice" of the people.

the country not stay ready to a laddy to stay in goberment from president the USA so and to very to support to obama

The great leaders of other countries have all been women! It's time America raises it's women above second-class status. Women still make only 70% of what a man does for the same job / same qualifications. Hillary, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is THE most qualified of all the candidates. The fact that Obama has to rely on celebrity such as Oprah or Kennedys to try to win tells me he believes he cannot run on is merit or experience. The man is not a true American. Wake up people!

  • Posted By: columbine @ 02/06/2008 10:55:48 AM

Actuaully the emerging Maria Shriver and Caroline Kennedy campaigning for Obama has turned me off..these were the friends of Hillary ..with such friends who needs enemies.?? . they can have their own opinions but out on the trail..!!! I was in the muddle of the middle but now will think more of Hillary...and I am not even a close friend...

    • Posted By: MDavis62 @ 02/06/2008 11:28:08 AM

Wow...you would chose a president based on friendship and not on values, issues, and principles. I love my sister but if she wasn't the best person to do the job I would vote for her and I hope she wouldn't vote for me if I wasn't the best person to do the job. I admire these women to stand up for whom they think is the best candidate for them. God loved Moses and had him lead his people out of Israel, but he wasn't the chosen one to take to the Promise Land...it was Joshua. So, let's stay focus on the right person to do the job and not personal friendships...if they are true friends then they will remain friends through this.

I never realized that to read one of these blogs was to see what people think. If the only reason you would vote "out" a person is because they have served in a position which did not allow for their opportunity to produce change, then we have a sad society. But, lucky for us - one opinion does not make a society. I'm glad I'm American, because I can get on these blogs and deliver my opinion - same as anyone else.

I'm an Obama supporter. If I'm going to suffer through more of the same come convention time, it might as well be McCain. If the super delegates give Hillary the nod, I'll be voting McCain

FIRST OF ALL, THIS IS AMERICA WE NEED TO HAVE A PRESIDENT THATS AMERICAN! WITH AN AMERICAN NAME AND AMERICAN FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OBAMA....HELL NO! I WOULD RATHER HAVE A WOMAN BE PRESIDENT THAN SOMEONE WHO'S NOT AMERICAN!

    • Posted By: penee lane @ 02/06/2008 11:05:18 AM

WOW, you are aware that all Americans are descendants of another nation, at some point in their lineage? Unless you are a Native American Indian, are you? That's what I thought, you are just another biggot right-winger spewing hate & scare tactics...pitiful.

  • Posted By: anti_trust101 @ 02/06/2008 11:22:28 AM

Beware the Obama surge! What a flop. Just goes to show that Oprah only gets one vote to cast and hers doesn't count anymore than anyone elses! To those who believes the hot air comming out of Obama's mouth....I have a used car to sell you and I don't think you would be the kind of person who would check under the hood before making the purchase!

  • Posted By: brendy63 @ 02/06/2008 11:22:28 AM

    I agree with debomoms

When will ever let racism not continue to stick it's ugly head up. This presidency should not be about race, but who is best qualified to do the job. I know that there are some white americans who believe that the white house should only be livable for whites, but this is a new day, and change is here! We are all one - just in different skin colors. We all bleed the same color blood. Please know that all we are looking for is the best person to the do the job.

    Thank you.

That's right . . . in this day and age; we got drunk, illiterate bloggers blowing smoke out their "***" and no one willing to see that we've got two very strong Democratic competitors to represent us at the convention. It's sad how some need to identify with race or gender or religion to poison (for those who drink/consume of it) the nasty closed-minded stuff that makes us continue to be "America Divided". Wise up America . . . either one that wins; Is after all - Your president too. Take a blood pressure pill and pull your heads outta' the sand.

We are at the crossroads of U.S. History. We have to be able to choose a canidate that isnt just socially popular. Or a canidate that has a husband with significant political pull. Rather let us focus on the politicans with the most experience. Let us trust the canidates that have fought for the issues this nation has faced over the last decade or longer. Inexperience and checks and balances will not be enough. Look at the current president. All the checks and balances in the world didnt stop him from destroying out nations economy. Forcing us into war. We are a society that wants to believe in chance, but seldomyly do a damn thing to change it. Let us now speak from our hearts, minds and souls, and create a positive movement in todays UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Oh yes, can't show any human emotion and be a good president. What has happened to our ability to thinkg clearly in this country. Such ridiculous thinking. Whose manipulative? Couldn't be Barrack Obama who seems to get more MLK like inflection in his voice with every speech. What a fraud. People will fall for anything these days. The ability to think critically is gone with our poor public education system. God help us all. I will pray for Hillary's success, but this country seems set on self destruction. We have to stop selecting the most likeable candidate as we have done in the last two electiions. It is not a popularity or most handsome contest. It's not American Idol. We need the best and the brightest. That is Hillary. Barrack seems to be auditioning for an acting role.

    • Posted By: MDavis62 @ 02/06/2008 11:21:08 AM

I totally agree...God help us, he is the one we need to call on. However, I do not believe our last two elections were based on popularity contest...especially George Bush, so that I can't agree with you on. I believe are trying chosing based on the platforms and issues and are researching the views of the candidates closed to their own and that's a good thing. We are being smarter in terms of politics and want the best candidate to run the country not start wars or lie. Let's pray that God's will be done and that the candidate elected will listen to to God's plan for the country.

Obama is clearly the best choice for the White House. The only thing holding him back is the obvious...unfortunately America needs to wake up and understand that a "couple" will not realistically work in Washington. Is she going to pick up the phone for advise for every decision? Its not going to work...she isn't strong enough. The only way the Dems. are going to win is through Obama. McCain will beat Hillary.

  • Posted By: senicroix @ 02/06/2008 11:18:59 AM

I must say history is in the making irrespective of who wins this race. With the exception of another Republican in the White House. And yes though a very young man doesn't mean that he is incapable. History has proven time and again that even the inexperience have become our nations greatest. We are entering a newer generation in our country and that is what we need to look at with much high regards for our elders. I trust a job well done by who ever become president for the tasks at hand will be enormous. There is no right or wrong candidate, just one who will have the people's well being first. One that can stand proud of a nation who is now being tried and tormented by many wrongs. Optimism will bring us back.

"We are the change that we seek" says Mr. Obama but what exactly is the substance of his "change?" It's beginning to look more and more like the Jimmy Carter bid for president.. He was elected but the political machinery ate him up and spit him out.

    • Posted By: esya @ 02/06/2008 11:17:56 AM

Re: Jimmy Carter. That's exactly what my husband says. And I say, ohmygod, another 8 years of a Reagan? I am going to have to find another country to move to. I put up with it silently for 8 years, but not another 8 that is for sure.

    • Posted By: SusannaC @ 02/06/2008 8:12:43 AM

The change that we seek is an energized citizenry, that feels it finally has a voice in DC. The change that we seek is higher pay for teachers - so that our inner city schools are no longer a disgrace. The change that we seek is a social security system that remains in tact, so that as a nation we can care for our senior citizens with dignity. The change that we seek is a humane immigration policy, and a clear path to citizenship.

In what sense are "we", the change we seek? In the sense that this campaign is funded and moved by ordinary citizens gathering in the living rooms of our 2-bedroom apartments. It is funded by people who are struggling to pay their rent. We are the change we seek, because finally, we are coming to realize what we are capable of if we band together, cross party lines, and believe in our own ability to create the change we want to see.

      • Posted By: aimeemeester @ 02/06/2008 10:28:50 AM

Susanna, I could not agree with you more.

      • Posted By: flori @ 02/06/2008 10:27:35 AM

Your comments are moving and on point ..but I have to wonder if we are really banding together. Just a few months ago the issue in the forefront was Iraq. A badly mismanaged war killing thousands of people and Americans wanted it to end. Then came the surge which offered a temporary cure and the end of the publics interest because suddenly the econonomy which impacts them directly became an issue. It makes me sad that our pocketbooks outweigh all else and we drop our supposed concern about the war to take care of our needs. I am not saying everyone should ignore our economic crisis but can we only care about one issue at a time? To me it says something about our value system and the politics the presidential wanna be's speak to.
