Is Barack Hussein Obama really a Muslim? And, does that have any bearing on whether or not he should run this country since we are in a muddle in the Middle East? I do not like to think that a person who is a different religion would give up our country's defenses for religion, but right now the quandry is whether a person being a Muslim would be best at the controls of our country? Needless to say, there was the time that Obama stood in front of the American Flag and did not give the OUR country's flag due honors.

The American public should be forwarned, time and again, that a vote for Obama means a great disaster for this country. Obama is the sure leader posted by the Islamic terrorists and Middle Eastern destroyers to infiltrate our country. As they always say, that they wanted to destroy America from the inside. They have been looking for ways and means on how to achieve this stratagem. Be forwarned that Obama ia a Trojan Horse. The terrorists financed him in all possible means just to get the presidency of the nation. Once he got elected to the highest office of the land, terrorisms of all sorts will be felt and seen in every part of our country. And Obama will have the blessings of the terrorists all over the world. Obama will then allow Islamic groups to buy lands in large scale all over our nation so that these "bad" people will have the better ways to know how to destroy us from the inside. So please be very careful, Obama mean disaster to our beloved America. (michigan1844@yahoo.com)

You both are such idiots. I think that people like you all come on these forums because you are cowards and would never say such bull crap out loud. You say it as a comment to make yourself feel important, well you are not. You are ignorant and everything you said is not true. Fortunately there are people with a brain and vote on the issues, not spark off racist comments. Support him or not support him, but passing racist comments is a true indication of your intelligence level

Though an islander and one who has had the privilege of living and receiving an education in the USA, I find that we all need a person with brilliance and fresh ideas. One who can relate to the new generation that is now overpowering our country and by the same token not forgetting our elders. There is a lot to be said when it's all done and I pray for who ever becomes president of this country, for we need an America to be respected and looked upon not as the police of the world or the saviour of human kind, but as a country we all hold truth and loyalty to. Everyone deserves an opportunity and it should be given. Irrespective of who we are because we are a democratic society.

Let's make history is the mantra of the Obama people. Women have to had to battle second class status in all racial groups. Bigger history would be a woman overcoming all that history to become leader of the free world. Imagine electing a brilliant woman to lead our country.

muddercreeks I believe you should know the FACTS before you spout untruths about Obama. Do you think he honestly would have gotten this far if he was a radical Muslim. Please, think about that and how ridiculous it sounds.

I am still trying to figure out what Obama/Clinton wants to change? As I see it, raise taxes, nationalize for things like healthcare when the government does everything poorly except for a fair job with the military. More government, less personal freedoms and more taxes. This is change poor Americans can do without. How about the fair tax, so that poor people pay no tax at all? This is real change. How about school vouchers which they both oppose, so poor kids can get a superior education? They claim to help the poor, but in reality, they hurt the poor. American really needs to wake up to thsese phonies.

I think it is so over rated with this Obama and Clinton rival. We all know that a controversy would be rasied with either black or woman. What needs to be done is people as a whole needs to come together and think is change what we want or cover-up? Clinton is promising things that are brought up in discussions and think well this is how I can make things better but Obama has lived our poverty and WORKED in our shoes so if he is promising us a change for the better of all people as a whole whats so wrong with that?

How come Obama says hes Christian, but wants to be sworn in with the Koran, Come on, choose the religion. If he cant choose a religion, how can he run a country effectively?

Next time around, I would vote for Obama. But this time, it is Hillary. She has paved the road the last at least 4 years to get people in the mind set that this time around, we may not have a "white male president". And it seems as if now that Hillary has worked hard paving that road, that Obama is jumping on it and trying to ride it. Not fair. I think he needs to pay his dues and earn this Presidential seat, as Hillary has.

Also, Hillary has always taken a stand, either yes or no in her voting. While Obama has most of the time voted just "present", which means that he is "there", but not taking a stand either way... that is not a President to me.
Everyone says to do your own research, well I agree. It seems that everyones "research" is simply to over and over again point out her famous "vote". Get over it people! Look at all of the good that she represents.
Healthcare for everyone! Not just "kids" and "families" like Obama's idea. What about people who don't have kids? They need to be taken care of too. And by the way, BOTH are mandatory, not just Hillary's...

I so totally agree with you egal - I am sick and tired of people sending me the "facts" about Obama that are untrue. I am also unnerved of the many white women (of which I am one) who are voting for Hillary because they feel its time for a woman in the white house. Its time for change. Obama is not rhetoric and politics. He is the change we need.

It seems the difference between the last posting and the others is the person who wrote it appears to be a well-educated, reflective and critical thinker whereas the other two postings make unfounded generalizations and insulting comments about race and religion.

Comment: I am a white, 63 years young business woman. I voted for Obama. When Kennedy was running for President many were afraid he would force people to become catholic. I am not afraid of Obama's inexperience. We have many checks and balances. He will do as good a job and hopefully a much better job than others we have had in office. Lets give " vote for a change" a chance!

I voted for Obama and I live in NY - I like Hillary too - at this point - I want anyone but another Republican. I'll take either one! If this country lets McCain win and become the president excpect 4 more years of Bush and the troups (your sons and fathers) to stay in Iraq for the next 4 years.

AWoman4Change: If you think that it's racism talking, and that there is no factual basis in Obamas Church being a Black Nationalist organization, do a search for Trinity United Church of Christ. Click on "About Us" on their website, read it, substitute the word "Black" with the word "White", and see how you feel about it then.

You are playing the lottery with Clinton. She does have "experience", but as Obama pointed out, it is not how long you've been in politics, it's how many times you stood for what was right. As she was dead wrong in her vote for the war on Iraq, some of her policies, and that she is backed by lobbyists. So, I'd rather play a lottery of change than one with whichever lobbyist provided the most cash.

      aimeemeester:
You are ignorant of their voting record. The MAJORITY of Americans supported those votes at the time, where were you? His voting record is Identical to hers in Congress; he did not vote on the 9/11 issue. Furthermore, for his campaign to put that out is deceitful. As for the lobbyists, I bet you haven't even looked at his campaign contributors list or you could not say that about him, either.

Obama may indeed be a good ,if elected he may be the best one, but he is tied to or was tied to farakahn and the islamic religion. What will u do if he changes once he is in office he is there for 4 years ,it will open the door for any one to come wright in and do any thing they want and there will be nothing done about it. Then u might find your self saying wish i would not have done that our doors are open to too many foriners as it is that donot like the us as it is. If u remember muslums and islamic ideas is why the trade towers where bombed and AMERICANS WERE KILLED. THINK BEFORE U VOTE

It is so retro and gender hating at its finest. She can't even take care of her home and her man. How old shcool. Blame it on the woman when her man cheats. These are Obama's supporters, eh? Put women back in their place. That is so George W. Bush like. School marm of librarian little lady. Why has the rest of the Western world been progressive enough to put a woman in charge, but the U.S. won't. In fact they hate on woman who show any authority. My wife runs in to it frequently in her career. Show a little leadership or to much ambition and you become a b----, even to other women. So. Sad.

Bottom line, Barack has yet to tell me what his plan for change is. Keep saying that "I stand for change", well what is it that you are going to change? And How? By the way, if you are an American you are supposed to hold your hand over your heart and face the American Flag when saying the Pledge of Allegiance. I certainly don't want a non-Patriot leading this country.

    • Posted By: write4freedom @ 02/06/2008 10:53:44 AM

Go to BarackObama.com and you can read his whole entire plan for change entitled Blueprint for change if you have been paying attention to the speeches and debates he tells us exactly how he plans to make those changes. Wake up this is a new generation it is time we have someone step up to the plate that represents the future and not the past. By the way do you always place your hand over your heart and face the flag? You can also stand at attention to the flag and show your respect.
