I???m an American of Mexican decent who lives in California. I find the ignorant comments made on Fox, ABC, and CNN news about why the majority of us chose to support Hillary to be pathetic! Do these bimbos really think that we are passionate about illegal immigrants getting drivers licenses? PLEASE, are they for real? They really are exposing their ignorance on why Hillary has gained so much support from Latinos. For the record, Latinos in California are quite cable of voting for candidates who we believe to be the most qualified, competent, and experienced. Regardless of their skin color or gender. Hillary Clinton has a plan for "change," and doesn't just offer a bunch of rhetoric! It???s evident that she is extremely knowledgeable on issues facing our nation, and is prepared with a plan to resolve them. She also articulates her plan extremely well to the public by devoting a time to questions and answers during rallies, unlike Obama. Why doesn't he anyway? If he were as confident and prepared to lead as he emulates, shouldn???t he be as eager to communicate solutions to vital issues facing our nation. A majority of us not only want to know a candidates plan on solving important issues, we require it before we will vote for them. Otherwise it all sounds like the same familiar rhetoric made by former politicians who make promises, but can???t or won???t deliver. Wake up and smell the ballot box!

I just wanted to say I enjoyed your comments. I am already tired of hearing the media talk about the race and gender issues. The exit polls about who voted for whom. It just fuels more of the same talk. I wish they would focus on the ISSUES and PLANS of the candidates instead!

The media stinks!!! They seem to be putting Obama ahead of Clinton and that is not true. She won more delegates than he did. Perhaps not a large amount but, just the same she has more!!
Media people, get your facts straight.

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 1:36:42 AM

what stinks is your perception. I dont know what broadcast you watched yesterday, but nearly all of the major broadcasts(CNN, Fox, ABC, Larry Jones,) yes i flipped the channels, were singing the same chorus "its a tight race with Hilary slightly ahead in delegates". now lets review our 3rd grade math: 14 is greater than or less than 8 ? By the way the media has projected her to win more super delegates. they have yet to be seen. Perhpas if Hilary had one 13 states and Obama eight would it smell so bad when the media reported that she got mor states. Let's face it. it aint over yet. be patient my dear, our time will come.

The media isn't biased against Clinton. It's Journalism 101, people!! The word "news" is the plural of "new." As in, things that are new. Obama is new. Obama is a STORY, by definition. The underdog making a comeback against the establishment. It's that simple. No conspiracy. Clinton, by definiton, is not news because she's been a household name since the early 90s.

Confusing to me that anyone can listen to Hillary Clinton speak and not be able to imagine our country with her as our President. She's devoted her life to the cause of democracy and has certainly earned the points to be our leader. She's faced an uphill battle as a woman in politics and look how far she has come against all odds. She's overcome severe personal hardships but has surfaced as a woman who can deal with the difficulties of family and a political career. It isn't just time for a woman to be president, it's time for Hillary Clinton to be President.

    • Posted By: bemo @ 02/06/2008 4:20:21 PM

why does she remain married to a sexual predator ?

      • Posted By: bereal @ 02/07/2008 1:18:16 AM

You are a complete idiot and are insulting people whose children have been victims of child predators.

What man isn't a sexual predator?

    • Posted By: jamrock66 @ 02/06/2008 4:20:14 PM

There is no denying that it is long overdue for a woman to move to the forefront, however, most people will agree that Hillary is not the one. She is appealing to the desire of women to make their stance and that is the only reason why she is drawing such a crowd. Hillary and Bill profess to be for the common man however, they have never live the life of the common man and so they cannot truly identify. Had it not being for Bills status as past president Hillary would be dead in the waters today.

Hillary loses to McCain !!! The experience argument goes away. Their votes on the war are nearly identical. McCain gets the independents. The surge in youth and African American vote disappears. Voter apathy will return with two of the oldest candidates ever running.

obama has never done anything for white people nor has he ever supported poor white people - most blacks are voting for him becasue he is black - i suggest most whites vote clinton because she is white - if whites vote htis way its racism but we're silnet when blacks do it because they'll cry and burn things to the ground - VOTE WHITE VOTE RIGHT _n VOTE CLINTON

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 1:05:43 AM

so let me get this straight... if a man votes for someone other than Clinton is he a sexist? if a young perons votes for Barack is that age discrimination? If protestant vote for Huckabee are they religous zealots? consider this... the human brain i capble of operating on many levels simultaneously. perhaps you should sit down for this next revelation.... voters sometimes consider things like issues, likability, strengths. values experience or innovativeness after all these are adults voting not pre-schoolers.

  • Posted By: terravista @ 02/07/2008 12:50:02 AM

barack unibomber would make a good preacher but he is not a leader and is not a president - vote clinton someone who has stood up for all races rioghts and not just blacks - what has obama ever done for the white poor social staus=nothing - VOTE CLINTON

  • Posted By: 15R8 @ 02/06/2008 5:39:58 PM

Take a look at the states Hillary won and take a look where McCain won.Take a look at the catholic vote take a look at several other factors. It looks like Obama is the candidate of yuppies. old political insiders'kennedy&kerry' and blacks but certinally not someone that can beat the maverick especially if he teams up with 'I like HUCKABEE'.
America has already rejected the too liberal kennedy kery brand. This teflon remake of a too old too liberal package wont cut the mustard let alone stand up to the republican attack dogs, which probally make Bills critisism look like childsplay.

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 12:43:50 AM

hogwash... there is nothing that a black man cannot withstand. you forget we've have survived far far worse opposition than a bunch of priveledged puffed- up know- it -alls who wine about thier own party's inability to acertain direction or agenda. before you open your mouth... remember to remove the bit that has been place by decades of negative brainwashing...more than anything else, more than being black, being young, being "liberal" or partisan, he is a man. a strong intelligent, insightful, couragious, man who has presented the issues well if you take time to listen... the fact that color keeps coming up is an indication of the sickness that still plagues many of our americans. it is a sad, but hard truth. see the man... see the man..

THE LATINO'S HAVE SHOWN THER VOTING STRENGTH. OBAMA HAS been able to penetrate every part of the electorate except for the LATINO sector. THE REASON LATINO's are coming out in record numbers for HILLARY is because of her HEALTH CARE initiative.
WHEN SHE SAYS UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE THAT IS LIKE HITTING THE "BULL EYE" WITH the LATINO COMMUNITY. THIS ONE ISSUE HAS prevented OBAMA from making in roads within the LATIN COMMUNITY. EVERY LATINO FAMILY IS UNITED ON THIS ISSUE.
OBAMA CLEARLY DRAWS THE LINE AND STOps SHORT OF OFFERING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE.
THE LATINO's ARE LOYAL TO HILLARY AND ARE THE X FACTOR IN THIS NOMINATION ie. TEXAS and in the presedential election in NOVEMBER. IF NOT FOR THE LATINO VOTE, OBAMA WOULD HAVE WON HANDS DOWN IN NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA and would have picked up more delegates in NEW YORK.
THE LATINO COMMUNITY CAME OUT FOR HILLARY THREE TO ONE. INCREDIBLE VOTING power.
THEY HAVE COMpletely nulified the "white man" vote as well as the black vote.

  • Posted By: eddiewhere @ 02/06/2008 6:36:25 PM

THERE IS NO DOUBT HILLARY OWES HER VICTORY TO THE LATINO ELECTORATE. OBAMA CAUGHT Up to HILLARY within every other group. WHITE MEN/WOMEN, AFRICAN AMERICAN, OLD AND YOUNG.
OBAMA CANNOT COUNTER UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE AMONG LUNCH BOX MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS AND LATINO VOTERS.

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 12:23:49 AM

Oh? then who? its certainly not Hilary. You see the health plans of both democratic candidates are essentially the same.... with major differences in implementation or in (Hilary's case enforcement.) to be frank, neither is wholly definitive and will need much tweaking. Just curious what would you do?

  • Posted By: PHD for HILLARY @ 02/06/2008 11:03:27 PM

Check this out. HIllary is 13 points up from Obama in today's Gallup polls. But, that's not news of course: http://www.gallup.com/poll/104200/Gallup-Daily-Tracking-Election-2008.aspx

Obama is like Paris Hilton, an empty media created vacuum. I wonder if his supporters do know that he does not write his own speeches, but a white guy writes them? I wonder how African-Americans would feel about that.

About the youth vote: Hillary won youth vote in Cal and Mass, where is the highest saturation of smart youth vote (think Harvard, MIT, BU, Brandeis in Mass, Stanford, CALTech, UCLA, Berkeley). Those are so called brainy youths. So, Obama basically wins the dumb youths of this coutry who want to feel progressive and cool, but can't do your basic fact check research.

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 12:17:30 AM

Enter Your Comment.... so i guess all of the collegiate votes recieve by Barack are of the dumb youth. I supposed that the upper middle class democrats who voted for Barack between the ages of 35 and 40 are the dumb youth. listen sour grape, the next time you do a survey take a leap from the steps of your trailer and research a comprehensive base and not just your immediate circle. by the way how old are you?

It would be nice to read that Americans look beyond gender, religion or ethnic background and support the candidate they believe is best for America. It appears to me that both Sen.Obama and Sen.Clinton are well educated, intelligent, and have similar Congressional experience. What counts, in my opinion, is who you truly believe in (honesty and candor) and who you think can get the job(s) done- within budget.

NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF EITHER party has a nominee lost both CALIFORNIA AND NEW YORK AND GONE ON TO WIN THE NOMINATION, despite proportional representation by district. OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE A CHANCE BECAUSE OF THE LATINO VOTE. IN ORDER FOR HIM TO WIN THE NOMINATION HE HAS TO WIN TEXAS. IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD.
ALSO MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA HAVE put a monkey rench in the whole democratic nomination process. THIS rench could cause riots in the future. REMEMBER NINETY SIXTY EIGHT IN CHICAGO. I WASN"T BORN BUT SAW THE FOOTAGE.

    • Posted By: anointed @ 02/07/2008 12:04:26 AM

are you serious...did you watch any of the coverage? barack won 44% of the Hispanci votes in Arkansa, and a significant numebr in several other states. By the way... Hilary's(8) states Barack(13)... that 21 where is the 22 second state which by the way is New Mexico...why is the media so quiet with this state how long does it take to count 6% of the vote? I mean really... 96% of the New Mexico vote was in last night. why have'nt they reported it in the media? Perhaps they wont be able to say that he can't get the Latinos vote...what can they say then? Wake up buddy He is racking up latino votes.

Hillary is my first choice, but I also thought if Obama was to get the nominee I'd be fine with it too...that is until I heard his speech last night. Yes it was inspiring, but in my opinion he came across as arrogant and the speech was way too long and repetitive. It was as if he was on a pulpit and preaching and this is not how I want the next President of the US to represent this country.

    • Posted By: KaraG @ 02/06/2008 11:29:31 PM

This is what Obama is good at. Speeches. Rallying the troops so to speak. I watched the beginning of the speech last night and had to change the channel he was bothering me so much. Very preachy for sure. Just not my thing.

  • Posted By: mj011685 @ 02/06/2008 4:53:12 PM

Voting or not voting for someone based on a speech is a pretty bad idea. Don't you think it would be the issues that are important, would you rather have another Busch candidate as our president. I really don't care how our president sounds as long as he is getting done what needs to be done. The results will speak for themselves.

    • Posted By: KaraG @ 02/06/2008 11:25:33 PM

I agree with not basing your choice on just a speech, but the issues. Hillary is focusing her campaign on the issues. Trying to get her message out about what she actually wants to DO as President. Not just giving motivational soeeches and rallies to fire people up for empty promises of "change".

It is not enough only poetry and dreams without substance. But the author doesn't make any comment about... where is coming from the most of Obama's money. The news about Hillary Clinton donating $5 million of her own money to her presidential bid struck me as odd.

How was it that someone of once modest means who claimed to have worked tirelessly for 35 years (???fighting for YOU!???) in the notoriously badly-paid public sector had become so wealthy?

Sure there???s been some financial scandals.

And as the late Sen. Everett Dirksen used to say, ???A million here, a million there???it adds up to real money.???

But why focus on the negative?

Then, suddenly, a tune entered my head and I thought, maybe if I offered a tailored version of it to the Clinton campaign, they???d use it to replace that awful Celine Dion song that used to be Hillary???s campaign anthem.

And maybe they???d give me some of that moolah.

I wouldn???t ask what account at Clintons, Inc. it came from, or which lobbyist forked it over.

(I???m sure in a gesture of sheer generosity???why think evil of people, K Street lawyers have hearts too, no? Wasn't it those nice medical insurance lobbyists who hired that couple, Harry and Louise?)

If you ask me, it???s like Bill with that race card thing. How unfair! (And how slick ;) )

Always leave just a little wiggle room, small enough to fit the word ???is??? through.

Anyway, remember that girls??? song, ???It???s My Party,??? written by Wally Gold, John Gluck and Herb Weiner and recorded by Lesley Gore?

Well how about this version for HRC?

    IT???S MY (DEMOCRATIC) PARTY

Nobody knows where my Bill has gone
Monica (Gennifer/Kathleen/Paula/etc.) left the same time
Why was he holding her/their hand(s)
When he's supposed to be mine?

It's my Democratic Party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you
    (For that???s what victims do-o-o-o).

Playin' my constituents, flip-flopping like a Wallenda,
Leave me alone for a while
    'Till Bill's dancin' with me
I've got no reason to smile

It's my Democratic Party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you.

    (lead break)
Monica (Gennifer/Kathleen/Paula/etc.) and Bill just walked through the door
    Like a queen(s) with her/their king
    Oh what a Dogpatch surprise
Monica (Gennifer/Kathleen/Paula/etc.) is/are wearin' his ring

It's my Democratic Party and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you.
