There are still people who think Obama is Muslim?! (ref: Heywudya) With all the information out about him, including his Christianity, I am very concerned about the level of ignorance in this country. Illiterate, uninformed, less than intelligent voters gave us George W. Bush and a nation that can claim nothing but failure in any subject he touched. I can guarantee any person who who call Clinton an "ugly broad" is definitely a very unsuccessful white male, threatened by successful women. I prefer Obama to Clinton, but these sexist, rude, debasing remarks are why Americans have lost their respect in the world.

Concerning the religion of Senator Obama: I thought we lived in a country where we were tolerant of all races and of all religions? I do not think that gender, race, or religion should be an issue in this election, and for those voters who make it an issue I honestly feel sorry for you. If we elect/ or don't elect a president based on any of these issues what does it say about our country other than we are hypocrites who claim to be open minded and tolerant and are NOT. Who cares what senator Obama's name is, open your mind, living in paranoia and intolerance is no way to live at all. If we want change to happen then we have our chance right now! We have the power to change our nation and the world, why can't people see that?

I never said that intelligent people wouldn't vote for Hillary. I'm only stating facts, that the majority of Hillary voters are white women, lower class (financially) democrats, and non english speaking latino's. Do your homework. John F Kennedy had tons of experience huh? No! Bill Clinton had zero years of experience in Washington. Ronald Reagan was an actor turned politician with very little experience. Does anyone see a recurring theme here? People who've made real progress and affected extraordinary changes, DO NOT COME FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT!! They're typically people who know what it's like to be an American citizen. They are not people who've looked at our country through the eyes of the Washington elite.

Re your statement about "white women, lower class (financially)" PROVE IT. Cite your source.

Hillary loses to McCain. The experience vote doesn't fly since McCain has more. Their war votes are nearly identical. The surge of youth and African American voters disappears. Voter apathy will return with two of the oldest candidates we've had in some time.

Even if Obama was Moslem, which he IS NOT, but let's just pretend he was...Is there some constitutional amendment I don't know about that says he can't run for President if he is Moslem? I thought this country was all about religious freedom? Is your religion the only RIGHT religion? Wonder what ever happened to separation of church and state. I never knew "W" got rid of the first Amendment.

I am digusted in how the media has started to focus on the Hispanic vote. The media is now starting to raise the question of Hispanic racism towards African-Americans. This is typical. Why isn't the media focusing on the African-American community and questioning their motives for voting for Obama? I can almost guarantee that they are voting based upon race. Doesn't that make them the true racists? The last time I checked, the Clintons were soft on immigration and other issues that directly effect the Hispanic community so the Obama campaign can save the rhetoric for those who can't hear the emptiness of his speaches. Please America, vote for substance not flash. Oh and by the way. I am a Republican.

I don???t believe that the people in the United State can afford health care for everyone.

    • Posted By: frjiles1 @ 02/06/2008 3:11:45 PM

You know I was thinking the same thing but I look at it like this, if this country can find the money to pay for a war, money can be found to fund affordable healthcare for ever yone.

Here, here! Also maybe put some toward educaton, too....

Obama may hold large rallies, and get people fired up, but what does that have to do with running the White House? Open your eyes people! He is trying to "speak" his way into the White House, but with what substance? If you are undecided, please don't give in to the hype. Read the candidates platforms and learn what you can about them. www.hillaryclinton.com is full of info that may help you decide.

    • Posted By: Incredulous in 08 @ 02/06/2008 2:17:48 PM

yea, that's reliable. NO ONE who is educating themselves about candidates should look at ANY candidate run website. Nothing is posted there unless it is a plus for a candidate. Seriously.... I am an Obama supporter, all the way. However, not everything on his website is strictly accurate. The same is ABSOLUTELY true of Hillary's website. People should educate themselves, and vote for whoever they support. People should, however, educate themselves with REALITY, not stump speeches.

      • Posted By: Hans Solo @ 02/06/2008 3:46:15 PM

How come we've never heard Obama talk about his Mother (who is white)? Just wondering. Is he afraid he'll lose some black votes if they find out? Hmmmmmm..........

      • Posted By: KaraG @ 02/06/2008 3:10:41 PM

BTW, I did say read the "candidates websites" meaning both.

      • Posted By: KaraG @ 02/06/2008 2:56:17 PM

Are you serious? There is alot of factual info on the websites. Background, stances on issues, platforms, etc.. What should people be reading? Only what the (biased) media puts out? You should read any and all info you can. Obviously there won't be negatives against a candidate on their website, but it a good starting place to learn about them!

To answer Mitch's question: No, Obama is not the 2nd coming nor the Messiah. He is more like a "sleeper Musliam". Watch out for 2012, a very critical year for this country. By then he will know all the Presidents secrets that keeps this country safe, if he is elected. BUT...I have another question. Has anyone wondered why so many Republicans crossed over and registered for the Democratic caucasses and primaries?? They "salted" the elections to make sure Obama took delegates from Hilliary...And that extra hope it would pay off at the Democratic convention to get the nomination for President. The 'salted" Democrats will then go back and vote for the Republican nominate. This improves the odds for a Republican presidential winner in Nov. because there are still white Democrates that are not ready to see a black man as President of this country. Some Democrates and Ind. will either not vote or will switch to the Republican nominate.. Think about it. Posted by Dana 77

no matter who wins they will inherit the problems from past and everybody will hate them to everybody should just hope for the best

We are on the same page with this 2012 thing

I have seen many stats on the "white men & white women" voter percentage for Ms. Clinton, but have seen none for "black men & women." Could this be because nearly 100% of black voters are voting Obama? I would be very interested in those statistics as would many other Americans should be.

    • Posted By: thinkaboutit @ 02/06/2008 3:43:57 PM

Black voters across the country threw their support overwhelmingly behind Obama. Nationally, 82 percent of blacks voted for Obama, compared to 17 percent who voted for Clinton. The margin was 85 to 14 among black men, and 80 to 18 among black women.

    • Posted By: Incredulous in 08 @ 02/06/2008 3:38:05 PM

It's around 80% give or take a few points since Bill's behavior before and after South Carolina.

  • Posted By: terrypol @ 02/06/2008 2:29:06 PM

The fight is about delegates. Eventually, the focus will turn to who can win in November against McCain. Although Obama did well in the Southern Democratic primaries, the Republicans have controlled the Soutjh in the past elections, even when Bill Clinton prevailed. There are no indicators suggesting any change in that map. What was encouraging for the Clinton team [and not for the Obama team] was her success in Tennessee, an important electoral college state. Another factor will be who is the Vice Presidential candidate, and what that person brings to the ticket. Obama has certainly excited the nation BUT excitement does not win elections.

    • Posted By: Anderya @ 02/06/2008 3:43:37 PM

Of course the focus is who can win against McCain, and consider the possibilty of a McCain/Huckaby
ticket if you are supporting Hillary. After the last election, all I have faith in is the ignorance of vast numbers of voters, and Hillary is so divisive she would not stand a chance. Like it or not, she unites the right in a startling way. Barack brings in indendents and voters who won't neccesarily come out and vote for Hillary.
What will be encouraging for Obama is winning in Ohio, Texas, and Virginia! Excitement does win elections...that Barack has done so well against the Clinton machine is a breath of fresh air and inspirational. HIllary doesn't have a prayer of getting universal health care through, and status quo has got to go.

I am a director of a senior center and I have not heard any of the canidates talk about senior issues. Not republicans and not democrats. I wonder if any of them relize the situation many of our seniors are facing and that every time the goverment makes budget cuts the senior programs are the first hit!! Do any of these canidates care?

  • Posted By: tucsona @ 02/06/2008 8:19:11 AM

What experience are you looking at. ..........Clinton is a AS Senator and was merely wife of the President of the United States NOT its president...I think many of you are cought up in the media hype of Hilary Clinton Viva Obama...a man who speaks his mind and ours, and who doesn't use NOTES in front of him in his speaches...he has the experience to deal with people without his or someone elses NOTES to tell him what to do.

    • Posted By: esya @ 02/06/2008 3:41:40 PM

I speak in the public all the time for my job. It's easy: if you say the same thing over and over again you don't need notes. If you want to get your facts straight and open yourself to detailed analysis, you have notes on the facts.

  • Posted By: Catalyst @ 02/06/2008 3:41:15 PM

The posting by "myopiniononly" is wrong in that Clinton got more delegates. She is counting super delegates to claim victory when we all know those super delegates have until August to make up there mind. Don't be so sure they won't change their mind until then. In terms of "Black men & women" comments earlier it's clear he is winning 80%+ in the African American vote, not hard to do the math of the break down. Although you are implying they are voting for him because he is "black" (altough some are), you might be neglecting the fact they might be turned off by the comments of her husband and his "Win at any cost" strategy.

  • Posted By: RIZABUV @ 02/06/2008 3:29:27 PM

I can't wait to see Hillary run for President with Bill by her side running for Vice President....AND WIN!!!! They are both brilliant in their own right and this country needs this team to put us back on track.

    • Posted By: Incredulous in 08 @ 02/06/2008 3:40:34 PM

Umm... you are aware that the 23rd Amendment makes that completely unconstitutional, right? If you're confused, Senator Obama could help you out because he is a constitutional lawyer and understands how the country is actually supposed to work.

  • Posted By: thinkaboutit @ 02/06/2008 3:29:30 PM

I disagree with FaeryKiss -- I don't believe Obama is a ploy of Islamic terrorists.... I do, however believe that he is a racist. He belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ...which follows the pricipals of the Black Value System (http://www.tucc.org/black_value_system.html). I don't think he will come close to uniting the country.

Just read this, it is scary and sad. Whites can't do stuff like that.
