to 2centsworth: you know there are some who say the same things about the u.s. i guess you've never noticed the difference in treatment of alleged criminals in this country between african americans and caucasians. or how back when the big three domestic car companies used to run ads saying that it was un-american to buy a foreign car. guess you were living in korean then. and as a korean american i can tell you that i have never heard anything as extreme as your comment from any of the thousands of koreans i know as well as amercian citizens and soldiers who have been to korea. come on now, can't own a foreign car? oh so those mercedes, beamers, and toyotas that i saw every where were just a hallucination. in addition, i was always raised to believe in what is right and wrong and to admit and take responsibility for my actions. and all this from korean parents who moved to the u.s. to pursue to american dream. never have i seen them scream and holler about equal rights in america. at least not anymore than any other minority group. and i'm not sure if you're aware of the illegal immigrants situation that's going on right now, especially with mexicans. i'm sure they'll agree with you that they have many opportunities in this country other than hard labor. i have no idea why some of these hard working people are labeled "day laborers." or why they all don't have country club memberships from they're under the table salary that's barely minimum wage. bottom line, you can come to the klan meeting with magsheen and me.

i find it amusing that people just believe the taliban's claims without any actual evidence... you know, because they are known to be the most honest organization in the world. i'm just sayin. to magsheen: i need a ride to the next klan meeting. we can shoot any minority on the way, it'll be fun right? or can you get me into your church, the one that protests soldier's funerals. atleast they don't have a conflict of interests with any of the ones they hate on.

What am I wrong about? I'm just saying you cannot deal with terrorist kidnappers .they will just do more of the same. the S.K. gov should not have paid the ransome because now many more will die . The missionaries knew what they were risking.

Your both wrong. The problem is those who take the hostages. This is just one more incident that should by now have told us all that these folks are commited to their cause. Which is simply power. NOTHING more or less then that. Not a god or a purpose. They just want power. And they are willing to do anything and kill anyone to get it. We have all got to wake up and realize that there are simply some bad people out there who want very badly to kill anyone they think will help them on the way to getting or keeping their power. Lets take the gloves off the military and let them SEEK OUT AND DESTROY th eones who LEAD these maniacs. the ones who keep millions of dollars of ransom. There is always going to be a dumn ass that gets talked into strapping on a bomb vest or taking someone hostage. Lets start taking out the ones who profit and architect it. Then prehaps they will get the idea to change their ways and that there is NO PLACE to hide.

Cutting off the head of the serpernt is definitely the best way to go. Our problem seems to be identifying and finding the serpent.

911 was an attack by mostly Saudies (our allies), who were trained in Afghanistan (former ally) by the Taliban which was a creation of Pakistani intelligence(our ally) and funded by various middle eastern allies. We invaded Afghanistan and successfully drove Al Qaeda and the Taliban back into Pakistan but did not capture or kill the leaders.

We then invaded Iraq which, according to the CIA , had no meaningful contacts with Al Qaeda. WE removed a brutal Sunni dictator and set up a "democracy" dominated by Shia muslims aligned with IRAN. Our new ally demonstrated its allegiance by awarding two of the first major contracts, totalling a billion +, to IRAN and CHINA. Afghanistan is going to hell in a hand basket, to use a popular phrase, and we face a long term commitment in Iraq, if for no other reason than to limit the new alliance that we have created between Iraq and Iran and possibly Shia dominated Hezbollah. I get the terrible feeling that we are lost somewhere in the swamp.

magsheen- you are a racist and people like you are the root of all the problems the world has. the most evil people in history have commited horrible crimes our of hatred of people who are different than themselves. I feel sorry that you are so ignorant and uneducated that you can't put yourself in the shoes of the South Korean government at the time. You have no right to pass judgement, I doubt you have gone through life without making a questionable choice.

    response to magsheen:
That was a 'nice' blanket statement. I wonder how many Koreans (Southern/Northern) you know that makes you such an expert in this subject of 'morality'.

And, who are you to judge their actions? They don't live on our land... they do not have to abide by foreign [US] political agenda.
