Does anyone around here really beleive in the Holy Spirit? He uses it more than Billery but I do have a fear that others would sabotage the world to prove that Obama is the Anti-Crist.

Is it true that Barack Hussein Obama's father was a Muslim? Also, it is true that his stepfather was a Muslim? Liz

    • Posted By: Mastersockmonkey @ 02/06/2008 11:27:50 PM

Baracks father was an atheist. His step-father was a Muslim. Barack is a Christian. There are many who try to make an issue of this. He can't help the family he was born into or the name he was given. His story is an amazing story. He picked himself up from a tough background and really made something of himself. Go to his website and look as his story.

My parent, my grandparents and I have always been democrats, UNTIL NOW!!! The
democratic party once stood for the hard working, blue collar workers and we could rely on
the democrats to represent us in Washington. Now, democrats represent, every weird
entitlement group you could name. I am voting Republican, so that I can hand down the
America I knew, as a child. I had the right to pray, be respectful to adults and my parents
had the right to smack me if I didn't behave. We need a change okay..but Obama does
not have the answer, neither does Hillary...Don't know who's gonna win the Republican
nomination, don't care...I'm voting, not by party, but by what I know these people
    on the democratic side, represent...

I saw Barack Obama speak in Chicago long before he was a "rock star" on the national political scene. He is intelligent, passionate, compassionate, and absolutely 100% committed to public service. Do not judge him by snapshots of media or intentionally misleading rhetoric. Noone has ever been more ready than he is. I am so ready for a change in this country, and he is only candidate out there offering something different - you can feel it in the air.

    • Posted By: snapdragon20 @ 02/06/2008 11:26:00 PM

You can find countless college students who are passionate and eloquent speakers regarding the need to change, but would you put them in the White House? Having the ideals for making things different is one thing, knowing realistically how to accomplish things in the age old system that won't change itself overnight is another. Hillary is our best shot at change actually happening. I hate that it seems so many people are threatened by the idea of an intelligent, powerful woman as head of our country. While it pleasnatly surprises me that our country is finally willing to accept a black man as president, I don' think Obama is the man for the job right now. Why do you think top ranking Democrats want him in power?...so they can get what they want from him. It's the same reason George Bush got into office. People knew they could take advantage of the situation. Nobody's going to take advantage of Hillary and that's why they all feel threatened. Truthfully, I'll be scared if Obama ends up as president.

RON PAUL ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!! and THATS MY COMMENT!!!!

  • Posted By: ramone @ 02/06/2008 9:27:31 PM

At this point, the day after Super Tuesday, I just had a change of heart - or, should I say head 'cuz my heart is still in Obama's camp. All other things between Hillary and Obama being evenly-matched (and ignoring Obama's sex-appeal), given the serious economic uncertainties that our nation is experiencing now, I feel better about entrusting Hillary with the Democratic nomination and the road to the White House.

your flip flopping makes youa great match with Hillary..

  • Posted By: negril @ 02/06/2008 11:25:06 PM

I don,t believe that Obama see colour in people and that,s very positive. I myself don.t see colouur, I judge a person by their character. Go Obama and bring CHANGE.
    LOL-DEE

I fact I know plenty of democrats that are prepared to vote republican.
Looks like a real show down in Nov.

Realbill... That just goes to show what YOU know... whatever that means to you!

I keep hearing about how Senator Obama has too little experience to be president. That is a very questionable statement. First, he has been a legislator and elected official since 1997, which is three years LONGER than Senator Clinton has. Second, and more importantly, "experience" is overrated. Shouldn't we be concerned more with what some body is going to do than what he or she has already done? After suffering through a generation of partisan hacks in the White House, it's time to elect somebody who brings Americans together.

  • Posted By: Lucy920 @ 02/06/2008 11:17:41 PM

Wow. I am disgusted by the mean-spirited comments out there. First of all, I am a white woman who supports Hillary, but for anyone to suggest that African Americans are voting for Obama ONLY because he's black is ridiculous. They are inspired and feel truly represented for once in their lives. comparing the issues between Hillary and Obama -- well, there's not a whole lot of difference. I am inspired and hopeful that for once in my life, a woman will represent things that truly matter to me. This white, male-dominated government has chipped away at things that matter to me. Furthermore, Bush is so clearly the worst president at least in my lifetime. He is a disgrace. Our country (and the world) hungers for new leadership.

So, I don't mind that blacks are voting for Obama. I understand and am so happy for them. I hope they understand why I am voting for Hillary. Either way, in the end, I think our country comes out on top if Obama or Clinton wins the nomination and eventually the presidency. Democrats 08!!!!!!!!!!

    • Posted By: Rinnovato @ 02/06/2008 11:23:21 PM

AMEN SISTER! My whole thing is the I am voting for Obama on the basis that his life has been devoted to people. I shun at Hillary because of her illegal past, and the potential destruction of the Democrats in the General Election. The Republicans are ready to release the evidence of the Clinton White House abuse of Power, which included Hillary. The Republicans do not want Obama as the Nominee because they know he will WIN!

I think if Obama receives the nomination........The Democrats will lose the Election in November...also Bill Clinton was a good President because Hillary was next to Him.......

    • Posted By: doughertyz @ 02/06/2008 9:45:55 PM

Get the facts straight before you shout off your ignorance! Obama is Not Muslim, dah! Where do you people come from? Research your statements before posting B.S.

I'm surprised at how many people are still locked into America being a white guy from the '50's. Although that's an important part of our history, America has become more than that. So I say, get over the race, gender, and name thing, and get on the bandwagon for change! =)

    Go OBAM!

  • Posted By: janjr165 @ 02/06/2008 9:42:12 PM

Hmmm....looks like someone's a little too pro-Hillary that they haven't done enough homework on Obama to realize that he has indeed done his part as a senator. Bottom line, no one is going to put millions of dollars behind someone who hasn't done anything for their country/state, and give them a running chance at the presidency if he wasn't worthy. Period. Go do your homework hon.

    • Posted By: terravista @ 02/06/2008 10:16:14 PM

obmaa has done nothign for poor whites - he is a racist - go CLINTON - we need a democratic president who will serv e white people too not just blacks

      • Posted By: washingtongal @ 02/06/2008 11:12:25 PM

Terravista--calm down--we get it, you are afraid that white people will lose out if a black person is elected to the presidency...well, you an rest assured that that will NEVER happen in this country! Since we have had so many white male presidents I would expect that all white people are doing phenomenally well to date based upon your warped logic. You really crack me up and your posts have been highly ausing...keep up the comic relief and posting illogical and ignorant statements and reponses whih makes one understand the reason for SUPER DELEGATES!!!!
