how can anyone say that all we hold near and dear to us will be lost if Obama wins....that comment is hateful and ignorant...i personally would like Obama to win..i changed my mind as soon as he entered the race...if Hilary wins ,so be it..but my vote is definitely for change not someone who goes by the book.

Hillary trying to break the rules laid out for MI and FL to suit her. Disgusting.

THERE IS NO DOUBT HILLARY OWES HER VICTORY TO THE LATINO ELECTORATE. OBAMA CAUGHT Up to HILLARY within every other group. WHITE MEN/WOMEN, AFRICAN AMERICAN, OLD AND YOUNG.
OBAMA CANNOT COUNTER UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE AMONG LUNCH BOX MIDDLE CLASS WORKERS AND LATINO VOTERS

THE LATINO'S HAVE SHOWN THEiR VOTING STRENGTH. OBAMA HAS been able to penetrate every part of the electorate except for the LATINO sector. THE REASON LATINO's are coming out in record numbers for HILLARY is because of her HEALTH CARE initiative.
WHEN SHE SAYS UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE THAT IS LIKE HITTING THE "BULL EYE" WITH the LATINO COMMUNITY. THIS ONE ISSUE HAS prevented OBAMA from making in roads within the LATIN COMMUNITY. EVERY LATINO FAMILY IS UNITED ON THIS ISSUE.
OBAMA CLEARLY DRAWS THE LINE AND STOps SHORT OF OFFERING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE.
THE LATINO's ARE LOYAL TO HILLARY AND ARE THE X FACTOR IN THIS NOMINATION ie. TEXAS and in the presedential election in NOVEMBER. IF NOT FOR THE LATINO VOTE, OBAMA WOULD HAVE WON HANDS DOWN IN NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA and would have picked up more delegates in NEW YORK.
THE LATINO COMMUNITY CAME OUT FOR HILLARY THREE TO ONE. INCREDIBLE VOTING power.
THEY HAVE COMpletely nulified the "white man" vote as well as the black vote.

I'm an independent who tends to lean to the conservative side. I really hope Obama gets the Democratic nomination because I cannot in good conscience vote for McCain or Clinton. I find it very sad that the so-called "super delegates" will have more say in who is on the ballot than the American people. After all, we'll suffer worst than they will if the wrong person is elected. Oh, and I'm a white female so supposedly I'm a Clinton supporter according to the media - NO WAY!

The Clintons will lie to each and to anyone else to get where they want. They will sacrifice a young female intern who is seduced by the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. They were bot happy to see branded as a liar and thrown to the wolves if it would have kept the truth from coming out. Who would want such persons back in the White House again!?!?!?
Obama is above such actions. He is committed to his wife and his country, not to what makes him feel good at the moment.
Seriously people think about the integrity of the person you are voting for. George Bush lied and Bill Clinton lied, elect someone who we can trust!! Barrack Obama

Clinton vs. McCain (and/or Clinton vs. Obama, for that matter) are just variants on the now-familiar "Pro Wrestling" format being utilized between the two parties in Congress and between Congress and Bush: It's just a show put on to make it look like somebody up there represents YOU, and disguise the fact that the modern Presidency is just a spokesperson position for the corporate powers which really run this country. It's like that old gag -

Guy's sittin' at a bar in late '67, slowly drinkin' hisself into a sad, sad stupor.

"'S'matter?" says the bartender. "Look like you just ost your last best friend."

"Well," says the first guy. "'S'like this: They tol' me if I voted for Goldwater there'd be war, higher taxes, and riotin' in the streets -- but I voted for 'im anyways. And sure enough, now we got war, higher taxes, and riotin' in the streets ... "

"But in your heart, you knew he was right, huh?" says the bartender.

"In my heart I knew he was a ***," says the first guy. "But at least he was a Republican *** -- an' that oughta count for somethin', ought it not?"

Bartender thinks about that a spell. "Well, 'least it ain't his fault we got war, higher taxes, and riotin' in the streets ... "

"But that's what I'm tryin' to tell you!" moans the drunk, by now just about slipping off his stool. "I'da voted for ol' LBJ, I'da been a Winner!"

Bartender hands him a loaded .38 Smith & Wesson.

"Take this, son," he says. "You're gonna need it ... "

I've been going back and forth between Obama and Clinton. I'm becoming convinced now that McCain appears to be the Republican nominee that Obama has a better chance of winning. I have taken the quiz on Glassbooth.org a number of times and have read the policies of the candidates. The truth of the matter is Obama and Clinton are very, very similar. What really differentiates them are race, gender, and baggage. I really would like to see universal health coverage, partly because I am disabled and can't work without losing my coverage or paying premium I likely won't be able to afford, if I take job.

to change the scratch my back politics. ( sorry)

Our dream team would not include the senator running for president, although it could one of the female senators who have endorsed him.

  • Posted By: eclecticbf @ 02/06/2008 7:44:21 PM

I am sick of these talking -heads saying Sen. Obama and that woman senator are alike. For Sen. Obama to be concern with promising anything to super-delegates spits in the face of his own campaign. We are supporting him and contributing our time and money to change scrack my back politics.

There will not be a democratic party if the super-delegates cut deals for themselves and support that female senator.

Please, too, talking-heads, try to understand that every American is not for sale. Sen. Obama will not be joining a ticket with that woman. You push to make people be inpolite as he has already said his people will have integrity and good character. If he were to do that, the votes would not follow

It does seem like when you do the math, throw in super Delegates, add the Michigan and Florida controversy, this could be a dead heat and the only solution without causing negativity is to form "The Dream Team" . Hillary gets to be President , Obama VP , with a strong wink as the next future President. If Hillary got knocked out, they could actually loose voters to Mccain. If Obama got knocked out , alot of enthusiasm goes with him. The Dream Team is the only possible solution.

Csherwood99 - the change you inquire about begins with special interest control of DC. Obama refuses to accept special interest money. Hillary has taken more than any other candidate including all of the republicans. If you need to know what control special interest money has take a look at the Bush White House and at the Bill Clinton pardons etc.

For the people talking about Clinton's supposed advantage on the health care front, wait til more people see the video about her stating her intention to garnish people's wages if they dont enroll. Obama simply allows some people to not enroll but everyone has the option to enroll.

I agree completely with jmacken. Obama brings the Democrats the one big chance they need to get back control of both houses and the Presidency at the same time. Think, Supreme Court . . .

The democrats that vote for Hillary are oblivious about how nasty the general election will be between McCain and Hillary. She says that she will not allow herself to be swift boated, but she has no choice. There are many skeletons in her closet. People will come forward giving additional details about her handling of travelgate or Whitewater or Vince Foster's suicide. She is already trailing John McCain in the poles that test a head to head election. The swift boat ads of last election will pale in comparison to a general election between Hillary and McCain. Obama has no such baggage. He is the most eloquent speaker since Kennedy, in some ways he is actually a better speaker. He beats McCain in poles. It could not be any simpler. Loose with Hillary, win with Obama.
