Almost nothing in this article is factual. It is the party line of the pharmaceutical companies that advertise in Newsweek. These two authors may be journalists, but on this singular issue, they have repeatedly shown bias, if not malice, for ideas and even individuals. For example, there is no evidence that ANY hormone replacement is safer than any other. Bio-identical hormone replacement happens in a wide variety of ways. Taking the minimal dose for the shortest period of time is presented here as a fact, but there is no verifiable evidence that it is true. Some believe just the oppositie, that the lack of hormones leads to inevitable disease. Use some logic - if higher levels of estrogen cause cancer, why aren't all young woemn dead? Why aren't all pregnant women dead? In any case, I find their one-sided reporting of medical information sort of, well, sickening.
