Comment: As a heavilly tattooed, successful person, i feel strange on the inside, reading things written, by people who have no idea what tattoos are all about. I think they are a very personal decision and it is not for other people to judge. You do not have to like the tattoos that you see on other people, and thats fine, because we dont get them to impress YOU... Unless you are an expert on the topice, I think you should keep your mouth shut and perhaps complain about the more serious things in life, such as HIV or staving kids in 3rd world countries, perhaps the homeless.

Comment: Tattoes are a personal way of expressing their likes in some different way...some show pics of their kids or names and others of praying hands and some kind of design they like...of course i have to agree some people have them all thru their bodies that's ridiculous and nasty....you don't have to be label to have a tattoo...All different kinds of people have them doctors, lawyers , officers of the law of course some are discreet and some are not...but I can tell you when you are going for a job interview and you go showing all your tattoos will not get you in the door....Be discreet and be proud of who you are....you don't need to have a tattoo to be somebody you are already someone unique ....plus its your body and take care of it...

Comment: It's your body take care of it? Really? So i'm sure you don't eat fatty foods, or drink sugar saturated sodas? It is your body, do with it what you want.
As far as job interviews, it just depends on the job. As far as having tattoos "all thru" our bodies. Well I assume you mean those of us who have tattoos all OVER our bodies, and we find people who judge us ridiculous and nasty as well

Comment: When I dropped out of grammar school, it was a very special moment for me so I thought I would get a tattoo to memorialize the event. When the last of my teeth fell out in what would have been my freshman year in high school, I thought that was a very special moment too and got another tattoo. On my 18th birthday, my second child from my fourth marriage had my first grand child (I think), so I got another one. On the day my fifth husband made his first child support payment, I also invited him and his 8 other illegitimate children to move in with me at Windy City Luxury Trailer Homes and I got another tattoo for this very special day. I am now 22 and know everything there is to know about anything in this world. Even though I have never held a position higher than secretary at Joe's trucking, I know there are many successful Chief Executive Officers, Doctors, lawyers, poltiicians and other highly successful people who have twice as many tattoos as I do...I just don't happen to know any of them or their names. So all of you who live outside of my world here in Alabama and say i will get discriminated against...until you act as completely stupid as I have and will continue to act, don't judge me!

You're to thick to understand that there are people, other then "trailer trash" that get tattooed. I can admit that some serious trash walks through the door of my shop, can you admit that many other educated, sucessful people also walk through that door?

Comment: As my 30th b-day gift to myself, I finally got the tattoo I always wanted. I feared it at first, not knowing exactly what to expect. So many friends who have them all gave me so many different versions. I got it's like a rug burn, it's just annoying to it was the most horrible pain I've ever experienced. I went with a girlfriend and we both got the ink we always wanted. Since I have a thing for Dragonflys I did a lot of research and found the one I loved. I also had the artist include my stepfathers helmet number in his memory since he lost his life on 9/11. As a proud FDNY man I thought it was only fitting. This means so much to me. And yes, even though I did opt for the "tramp stamp" I love my ink. Anyone who says I'm a slut for it...good for you. You keep those ignorant eyes closed and enjoy your day.

Comment: I my self have 2 tattoo's and I have one on my hip and on my ankle which didnt really hurt that much at all. Some people are different when it comes to pain. For the person that said that you can get cancer from a tat.....thats BS. For one thing ive never ever heard of anything like that ever happening before. Just because maybe youre closed minded doesnt mean you have to go around and telling people lies that you make up in your idiotic mind. For the person who said that girls with tats are sluts and will never get a date BS to you too! I have a boyfriend with whom ive been going out with for over a year and we started dating AFTER i got my tats. He thinks that they are great and they both have a meaning to me. And no he doesnt have any. So those that object to people having or getting tats then thats your own opion its 2008 wake up already!

Comment: Hey mortimer, glad to see little oinkers like you are still alive and well. No worries. Women with ink would NEVER date a little piggie like you anyway so, no problem. I'm 55 years old, have two nice, large gorgeous works of art on my body in places that no one other than my husband would ever see because I'm not a slut. Indeed, I'm a Christian woman who not only wears tattoos, but I even (GASP) cut my hair once or twice a year. I know ... it's shocking. I keep my ink private, between my husband and myself, and both of my designs took over 6 hours each. He's the one initially who wanted me to get my ink, and then I got into it wholeheartedly. He LOVES my artwork that was designed just for him. Have you ever had someone love you so much that they would go through 7 hours of rather extreme discomfort for something that would be seen only by you? I didn't think so. If you don't know what you're talking about, then shut up.

Comment: I disagree with this article. The chest shouldn't even be in the list of most painful places. I have a dragon that literally goes from one side of my chest to the other side, and down part of my right rib cage. It was not painful at all. As for Mortimer and all the others calling us idiots, perhaps you should do more research before you make accusations about people being sluts, idiots or getting cancer from them. I am heavily tattooed and at 27, I am as healthy as an ox....and twice as stubborn. So, to all you people who don't like tattoos or tattooed people. Please keep your comments to yourselves....AN DO SHUT THE *** UP! Anyone who does not like my statements can freely take them up with me. Simply email me at Kennybernstienfan1@yahoo.com. While I won't promise you will like my response, I will promise you will get an honest reply.

Comment: I have four tattoos myself and I'm far from being a slut. It is my personal form of expression. These ink markings are meaningful to what I've been through and where I'm going. It's close mined people like yourself who make a judgment call on someone you barely know. Just say that me and Kim had the heart to get inked 4 times. You probably would faint if the needle touched your skin.

Comment: Sorry to interpret, but i have a question?
I'm going on 18 & was thinking of getting a tattoo of in loving memory of my grandmother.
Well i was just woundering if it hurts less on the upper part of the arm or the lower?
I have less tolerance for pain.

    • Posted By: kelvwyn @ 02/13/2008 14:54:33

Comment: It doesn't appear that anyone has answered your question specifically. Instead, they talked about the back. If it's a choice between upper and lower arm, the upper arm is less painful. The front of the arm and bicep area are only slightly less painful (in my opinion, having gone through a "poke test") than the forearm. However, I agree with the other person who mentioned that somewhere other than the forearm would be better because it would be easier to hide. During the hot summer, you might want to wear a short-sleeved shirt, and the forearm would, of course, show. Depending on where you work, it might be a problem. My Fortune 300 company doesn't care about small, discrete tattoos, but a large one on the forearm would need to be covered. Bottom line, they don't care if you have it, you just couldn't role up your sleeves during a meeting and having it blaring there. On a personal note, I think a memorial tat is really sweet. Were you thinking of a shield or something similar? That would be very sweet. I'm grannie age (55), have two LARGE tats of my own, and I love nice artwork. One tip: if you get a large one, PLEASE pop the extra couple hundred bucks or even two and get really good quality artwork. Good luck!

Comment: Tattoos to remember a loved one are great. The only suggestion I have is maybe getting it on your shoulder blade or on your back or somewhere. Unfortunately, while many people accept tattoos these days, many still do not. I'm sure your grandmother would not want you missing a job opportunity because you have a tattoo on your lower arm. I have two tattoos and plans for more, but have them in places that I can show them or hide them depending on how I feel or where I'm going. Keep that in mind. I also have a tat on the top of my foot and I absolutely love it but I can agree that it is INCREDIBLY painful. Much more so than the one on my lower back. Anyway - there you go, just my opinion.

Comment: Wow some people crack me up! Only 2% of women get tattoos? That's your best guess? Keep guessing. I am a female, and I don't know of a single one of my female friends who DON'T have a tattoo. Some have more than one. I have a tat as well and have never once gotten discriminated against because of it. The people who say that we do are the ones who do the discriminating. If someone won't hire me because of it, then I don't think it would be beneficial to me to work for them anyways. I want an employer who hires me based on intellectual values instead of my outward appearance. I love how "some" say that women are beautiful without tattoos, that's fine. That's your personal opinion. Don't shove it on us. We don't care. I see more women getting tattoos than men. Think before you ink? I think you should think before you speak. You sound like a blabbering idiot. You can still be professional and have a tattoo. The day getting inked affects your brain capasity is the day I will rethink getting tattoos. Until then, bring on the ink!

As for the article, I think Newsweek didn't exactly do their research. It was a good article as far as a reporting/journalims aspect goes, but it wasn't exactly accurate. I don't know of anyone who has a tat on their eyeball, although I could see it for medical purposes. I think it would have been more accurate if they would have gotten the tattooed-up janitor out of the basement and had him report this one.

Comment: Mankinda cracks me up! Only 2% of women getting tattoos? Are you kidding? Every single one of my girl friends have tattoos. Some more than one. I would have an easier time counting the women I know that don't have one, instead of the ones who do. Also, I have never ever seen anywhere that tattoos cause cancer. I research everything before I go through with it. Never did I see that. I have one tattoo already and have never once gotten discriminated against because of it. I have gotten compliment after compliment. I don't think that I would want to work for someone who judges me on my tats or piercings anyways. You can still be a professional person and have tasteful body art. Think before you ink? You need to think before you speak. You sound like a blabbering idiot.

On the subject of Newsweek, they need to actually have a reporter who has gotten a tattoo. Pain is different for every individual. They should have reported on the more popular places to get a tat instead of the places that make most people go, "Who in the world would get that done?" They should have brought up the janitor who works in the basement that's covered from head to toe with tattoos to do this article. Guarantee it would have been better written and more accurate than this.

Comment: I have only one tattoo and of course being a young woman, I opted to get it on the lower middle of my back. It did not hurt me, it was more like an irritation, like described above. I do not regret my tattoo. I do have plans for more. I feel that if one decides that they would like to get a tattoo, that it is best to chose something that has a meaning behind it. I just feel that people that go out and get a tattoo just because they saw so-and-so got one that now they have to get one, is just rediculous, dont do it because someone else did, do it because you want to and because its something that you have decided on for a while then get one. Just remember a tattoo is permenant, it is with you forever! And laser surgery is like buying a house, expensive, so please dont fall under the worlds preasure and get one cause half your friends have them but because you are really sure that its something that you want. That doesnt just go for high school kids, but everyone really, its not just the high school kids falling under this preasure but everyone. I would like to see more articles like this in the future, you dont often hear too much about the art of the tattoo.

  • Posted By: alexk @ 02/13/2008 2:56:11 AM

Comment: ok first of all it is not a known fact that tattoos cause skin cancer. Myself and most of my friends themselves have tattoos and are acquainted with artists who have been in the business for years and years and have never seen such a case. To make such a claim with no facts or studies to back it up is idiotic. Oh and btw... even though I spend my money on tattoos, I also find the time and money to donate to charity. Dont judge people just by what they consider art and beautiful. Next time you decide to comment an article, don't make outrageous claims and judgements about something you know nothing about.

Comment: I'm training in medicine. Your statement makes me curious...mind linking me to the journal with the specific study you're referencing? I know it's not in NEJM. I'd be interested in seeing such a study...in my years of working at clinics I've never seen skin cancer brought on by tattoo work. The inks are really quite safe, from what I've seen...usually the cases I see are overexposure to the sun.

  • Posted By: kittenalethea @ 02/13/2008 1:42:21 AM

Comment: I'm training in medicine. After years of study, I'm not sure that I'm clear on which study you're referencing. Mind providing a link to the medical journal? I know it's not in NEJM. That's an interesting statement. Most of the inks used in tattoos today haven't been cited as particularly harmful...I've never had any cases in my clinic of patients with tattoo induced skin cancer. A much greater concern in that vein is overexposure to the sun.

Comment: ANYONE WHO SPENDS MONEY TO MUTILATE THEMSELVES IS AN IDIOT. WHY NOT DO SOMETHING USEFUL WITH IT LIKE DONATING IT TO STOP ANIMAL ABUSE OR TO FEED HUNGRY KIDS OR TO GET HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS....AND BTW....IT IS A KNOWN FACT THAT TATTOOS CAN AND DO CAUSE SKIN CANCER.

    • Posted By: kelvwyn @ 02/13/2008 14:04:57

Comment: Look, ABE, it's none of your bloomin' business what anyone else does with their money. It's THEIR MONEY. They earned it to do with what they choose. That's what socialist's like you don't understand. They CHOOSE to spend THEIR OWN money that THEY EARNED WORKING on something they like. The other thing you don't understand, because you're a socialist is, this is helping many more people than it would buy just giving money to "the poor" (whoever you might mean by that ... name a specific poor person and I'll give them a buck if that will make you feel better). This helps the tattoo artist and their family by providing them with an income. This helps the bank and their employees. This helps the community businesses by having money being spent locally. It encourages economic growth. You say "give it to the poor" because you are stupid. Instead, give the poor a JOB and they can earn a living. Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll eat for a lifetime ... you stupid sodding idiot.

    • Posted By: NYHC_4_Ever @ 02/13/2008 13:34:42

Comment: that is definitely one of the most close minded responses I've ever heard. Talk about making a judgment without knowing facts. How do you know what people are doing with their money besides getting a tattoo? Secondly, there is no medical proof that tattoos cause cancer. get your facts straight because right now you're the one who sounds like the idiot with this entire comment

  • Posted By: OriginalNovian @ 02/13/2008 1:30:02 AM

Comment: My tattoo on my right bicep is pleasureable to wear and was worth the hot scratch feel...in fact I am looking forward to 2 or 3 more tattoos

  • Posted By: ABE LINCOLN @ 02/13/2008 1:28:16 AM

Comment: Instead of paying hundreds, and thousands of dollars to mutilate your body, why not give the money to those that have no homes...to those that live in store fronts and cardboard boxes to avoid the elements. Or, to those kids that go for days with no food to eat...or to stop cruelty to animals, to help find a cure for childhood cancers. And incidentally, it is a proven fact that tattoos can and DO cause SKIN CANCER, you idiots.

    • Posted By: baylee333 @ 02/18/2008 15:57:39

Comment: Wow, skin cancer hu, well for that matter so does the sun but they haven't quite perfected the "no harm will ever come to me bubble." And since you are so worried about all the needy people out there why don't you open your home up as a shelter and whatever you do don't use your money for anything that isn't a necessity because otherwise that would make you a hypocrite since you obviously think money should be used to help others, right? Let me ask you this, how much of your paycheck goes to charity? Now tell me this, how much do you use for vacations, movies, fast food, decorations for your home, gas, clothing (if you make it yourself you can save money and send the rest to a third world country. Maybe you could make the world a better place by saying nice things to people instead of saying rude things just because your narrow mind can't see past your own ego. HAVE A NICE DAY!

Comment: Silly article. Who really gets their eyeball tatted? I mean really.
I have a quarter-sized tat behind my left ear and it didn't hurt nearly as much as the two on my wrists. The worst part was the annoying buzzing so close to my ear.
Also have a large tiger tatted on my breast...that didn't hurt at all.
This article isn't very useful or factual. I am however, curious as to way it seems to be geared towards us women.

Comment: I disagree with the listing, I am tatted from hip to armpit, with wings covering my abs, ribs, 'floating rib', kidney, and hip. The hip, abs tickle, the armpit burns but bearable, and the kidneys cause your body to convulse as it feels like it is being damaged. there is no way to stop your body from its natural defense. Unless i read the above wrong, as only above the cage, then yes it is not that painful, but if your including the cage, then higher on this list is where it deserves to be. Unless you weigh 500 lbs, then you might not even feel a thing.

  • Posted By: Jroach @ 02/12/2008 11:50:23 PM

Comment: my first tattoo was from my right hip to arm pit, with wings spanning on the outside of my right abs and opposite over my kidneys. Unless i read the above wrong, the ribcage is A LOT more painful than described on this list. I love my tatt, and it has great meaning to me, and when i sat for 4.5 hours straight, with still 2 more hours to go for final coloring and touch ups... The most painful is over the kidneys. Your body is thinking something is attacking it, and is causes you to convuls. (sp?) so those of us who dare for the cage tatt...it might not be as painful, but from someone who is tatted up from hip to armpit, the hip bone tickled, the armpit rippped, and the kidneys feel like the artist is putting his two hands in your skin and ripping it apart.

Comment: I'm a guy, 52, and started getting tattoos when I was about 25. I only have six now, but I'm sure I'll get more, when I decide what and where I want them. And, in my opinion, tattoos can be very "alluring" on a woman as long as they are tasteful. As with any art or makeup, some can look trashy, but most I have seen are quite nice looking and very tastefully done.

  • Posted By: KILLSPEED @ 02/12/2008 9:29:38 PM

Comment: The pain you experience when getting a tattoo is the price you pay. I believe even though you are paying someone money to put it on you, you earn the tattoo, you suffer a little to get it, proving your right to have it. If the fear of the pain is keeping you from getting one, then you dont want it bad enough. Ancient tribes tattooed there young men, who endured the pain, believing it a right of passage to manhood. I have a couple of tats, and have never, and will never use pain medication to dull the pain. It might sound stupid, but I dont believe Im the only one who feels this way.

    • Posted By: lorainedrop @ 02/13/2008 12:48:20

Comment: I agree completely! Pain is part of the process - of the ritual if you will. The woman who did one of my tattoos has been doing it for over 25 years now, and she absolutely refuses to give any tat to any person who has used ANYthing to dull the pain. This includes alcohol, marijuana, opiates, other drugs, even ibuprofen. If she even suspects you have used a topical creme or any of the before mentioned she will send you out of her shop. It IS about the pain, it proves that you earned it. Thanks for your comment too bad everyone doesn't feel like you and I.

I think since it is of a non threatening, non political and non offensive thing tat's are permissable. Probably not in a fortune 500 company but hey how many people work for one of them. If a company does not like me because I dare to be an individual then its prpbably not a good fit anyway.

Comment: A lot of people who are in a position to hire you or otherwise help you in life ARE prejudicial. They are prejudicial about how you look, how you present yourself, how mature you appear to be and what kind of judgement you exhibit. And, I might add, it says a lot about the intelligence level of people with tattoos when most of them think the word is spelled "tattoo's." Their punctuation is as bad as their judgement.

Did some tattooed person beat you up and traumatize you early in life? Seriously, why do you care? It's just pigment on the skin. Does makeup offend you just as much or is that ok because it isn't permanent. I really am curious as to why some people are so scandalized by a simple issue of personal preference. Please, live and let live. I really don't care what you do with your life, your money, or your body as long as it doesn't affect me. Since my tattoos do not affect you, you really do not have the right to opine.

Comment: Wow, this whole post is pretty entertaining. I thought the purpose of it was just so people could find out what parts of the body hurt the most? I don't have any tattoos yet, but I'm planning on getting some. So far I think we've established that the ribs, lower back, knuckles, foot, inner arm, and stomach hurt the most, but then again there are other people who say that it doesn't hurt in those places. Hasn't anyone learned by now that everyone is different, and that just like snowflakes no 2 are the same? Come on people, it's not like this is anything new to know.

And for all of the people that are ridiculing other people just because they have tattoos, need to get a life. I don't think it's childish, because a child would never talk to an adult that way about a tattoo, because they don't understand it. And if it means something to someone or not, that is their business and theirs alone. Anything can be offensive to anyone. If you don't like them then deal with it. There are people who don't like our president, but they deal with him. I think people who smell bad and who chew loudly are offensive, but I don't go around posting nasty comments about people. Suck it up and deal with it. Seriously, no one asked anything about what anyone thought about tattoos, they only asked where it hurt to get them. And like a lot of them have said, if you want it bad enough, you'll sit through the pain. I think there are worse things in the world to worry about then tattoos. Like people's family members over seas who are defending your right to be able to get tattoos and dying for those who don't like them. How about worry about the children who are living on streets with no food, and who are dying of diseases. How about people who get randomly shot in cities and die for nothing. And some of these people are worried about other people with tattoos? My God. Go do something better with your life then make others unhappy.

Comment: Tattoos hurt, there is no way around it. This article focused on a couple of the spots that seem to be more painful. To me there is no way they can tell you whats going to be bad and what isn't. At least they said it all depends on the person. If they took the time to get more scientific and look at the nervous system they would have known all the points that would hurt. I had my calf done, which when he hit the nerves that run down the sides hurt like hell. I also had the front of my leg done, which wasn't nearly as bad. And I don't understand why they say above your ribcage hurts, because from everyone I have talked to, your actual rib cage hurts the most. All I'm saying is if you are going to write an article about tattoo's, talk to some people who have experience with them, the artists. In my opinion this article should not have even been published.

Comment: It's nice to see that most people realize you have to get through the pain to get the picture when it comes to tats. I have 4, and don't really understand where the writer came up with those time frames. All of mine measure app. 4x4 or bigger, and not one took over half an hour. The most painful is right where the leg of my underwear rides on the front of my leg. Least painful was in the middle of my upper back. Was thinking about a band around my upper arm, but no more after that comment from msmuscles! I think I will just even myself up by gettint another on the outside of my other calf. Addictive, aren't they!

Comment: I'm not sure if I agree or disagree. I have 4 tats, all larger than 4 inches long/wide, and the one on my upper leg ( just at the leg of my underwear) definitely hurt the most. Middle back didn't hurt much, and my upper arm was very mild. My leg (slide of calf) was bothersome only due to the position I had to hold for so long. But, not one of them took over half an hour, so how did this writer estimate that time? As for the pain, I see by the comments that most of us know you have to get through some pain to get the picture.

Comment: I had a tatoo put on my left calf last summer. The artst said there is some twitching in the leg but generally it stops after a short time. This was my concern since I have MS, and it affects my legs the worst. My leg never stopped twitching through out the entire two and a half hours. My friend laid over my thighs while my foot wrapped around the artists rib cage. Needless to say he had a new experience to share with everyone. I tipped him very well for the pain and suffering.

  • Posted By: FAIRYKYSS @ 02/12/2008 2:41:34 PM

Comment: Agreed! Silly Article....Any Tattoo artist can tell you where it is going to hurt, but personally I believe it depends on the individuals pain threshold. I have 3 tattoos. One on my ankle, my right shoulder, and one on the outside of my left arm. I would have to say the one on my shoulder hurt the most. I didn't even feel the tattoo on my arm...Pain and Tattoos are a right of passage. Recently my 60+ mommy got her first tattoo on her shoulder. She said it hurt, but she wouldn't have traded the experience of getting it for anything. Big warning though...You can't just get one!

Comment: Whoever wrote this article clearly has little or no personal experience with being tattooed, cosmetically or artfully. The bottom line is, the pain associated with tatttoos, like the tattoos themselves, is unique to the individual. Of COURSE genital tattoos are going to hurt; of COURSE having your eyelids tattooed is going to hurt. Anyone with half a brain could guess at that, which makes me think the author didn't do any legitimate research and just stated the obvious. It seems to be written more for shock value than for any kind of real educational purposes. In short, this was one of the lamest articles I have ever read in 'Newsweek". Shame on them for even publishing it.

The one on my shoulder didn't hurt at all but the abdomen one made me want to scream. The toe tat was somewhat painful but bearable as was the one above my butt, however the one behind my neck had my entire body shaking with pain. The bottom line is, pain is personal. What is a personw illing to endure for the sake of art? I do not regret any of my art work despite the pain and once it's done, you don't feel the pain any longer. It's like childbirth. You remember that it hurt pretty bad but it wouldn't stop you from doing it again for most people. I've also had piercings. My ears, nose, tongue, belly and nipples. The tongue didn't hurt at ALL despite the many nerve endings there. Neither did the nose. The belly almost had me jumping off the table and the nipples made me SCREAM, Again.. temporary pain. I've since let many of the piercings close and have decided to only keep the ears and belly rings. It's a personal choice and writing an accurate article is difficult becuase everyone has a different threshold. I did interview people prior to getting my first tat (abdomen). I only spoke to people with similar tats in the same location. I got a pretty acurate description when one girl in a bar told me it was like someone slowly slicing open your belly with a razor blade. After a while though, it sort of grows numb. There is also a difference in the pain of an outline vs. coloring in vs. shading if it's needed etc.. I see none of that included in this article. As I learned when my neck tat was being done, it DOES make a difference.

Comment: Who did this polling? Most ppl do NOT get tattoos on their eyeballs! The "mons pubis" is obviously not what is being referred to (mons pubis is the fatty area that lays on top of the pubic bone, this article sounds like it's talking about genitals). I don't think eyebrows, lips, or behind the ear would hurt too bad (I've had my eyebrow pierced twice, and a labret done twice). If the people being polled were tattooed people and excluded the permanent makeup sector, much different results would be seen!

Comment: Well, these are the places I heard would hurt before I even considered getting a tattoo. Actually, I felt almost nothing when I got mine, and it's on the right side of my extreme lower abdomen. (It's hard to describe ha ha) Pain is definitely a personal thing, because when I was choosing the design, I seriously thought I was gonna die of the pain, yet I didn't. Tattoos are art. And to any ladies who want a great place for a tattoo that can be easily hidden if needed--where I got mine is most always covered by pants, but like during the summer, it can be shown in a swim suit. Momma always said: Never get a tattoo where a judge can see it. :)

Comment: Why isn't the lower back on here? I have two, one on my lower back and foot. The back hurt but the one on my foot didn't.

Comment: I think this is stupid. It seems fairly obvious that information on tattoos should be gotten from reputable artists at reputable shops. I doubt that the person that wrote this article has any tattoos at all. It makes me crazy how many people watch shows like 'Miami Ink' and think that they are experts. Go to a shop, talk to an artist or go to a tattoo forum like Read Street on www.tattoodles.com if you want information on tattoos. Would you ask your kids Kindergarder teacher about brain surgery?
