I got my First tattoo about a year and a half ago it was almost completely painlees Now the artist that did it messed it up and i have to go back and have it covered with something else but I will get the same tattoo someplace else becuz it means something to me I'm trying to get my husband to get his first
I have to stay at my trailer park all day cuz I cant afford the gas for my moped - so I end up looking at freaks with low end prison tats, its a downer.
I join the ranks of the well-educated, stable employment and marriage types with piercings and tattoos. Love them, and don't care what others think of them, I like them, and thats why they are there! BTW, I'll show off my tattooed arm, as I drive by you in my Benz convertible and wave!! Grow up all of you high schoolers who are judging people based on looks....this is the real world.
Trashy now that is a word that does not play well, Trash .....is that not somethng we throw away. Such a sad world we live in when we are sterotyped because we choose to use art to capture our children, loved ones and just plain simple memories. For those of you who think trash, for your imformation we can not dicard tatoos and we put a great deal of thought into them,, Trash is what those of you see. Try looking in the mirror maybe you can find what you are looking for in that word there.
I had no idea there were still people out there that judged people by their tat's I'm actually really shocked. Saddened, but stil shocked. I'd think at this point us tattooed folk would be the majority since it's become an addiction for so many. Dare I say it's even trendy with shows like Miami/LA ink? I have 5 and more on the way, I'm just careful where I put them since I work in an office. I think they're ridiculously sexy and the pain isn't bad even in the worst of spots plus it's temporary!
You know they watch Miami Ink and LA Ink and secretly LOVE it! Talk about trying to get attention! LOL!
To Maria Garcia: No it is NOT true. I have 9 tattoos and have given blood plenty of times. The only rule is if you get a tattoo outside the USA. My fiance got a tattoo in Mexico and had to wait a year before he could donate. I, however, have gotten all my tattoos done by an accredited and certified WI parlor and have never been denied donating blood. Don't worry.
Even though getting a Tat can be a little painful, many people become addicted to body art. The pain is secondary to the evelasting effect (or is it affect), thrill and pride you develop for the art you wear on your skin.
That's exactly right. End of story.
I have been afraid of needles all of my life. A shot at the doctors office would cause sweating, crying and near panic attacks. I decided to get over this fear by getting a very, very small tattoo. I now have four tattoos, and permanent makeup. I am about to get my 5th and by far, largest tattoo. I can now go get a flu shot or blood work by myself and without freaking out!
oh nd to add to my last post.out of my 25 tattoos the one on my side hutr the worst only dureing the healing process.
I wish the posts would go from beginning to end instead of having to read the most recent one first. It's usually responding to an insult someone made earlier.
I have 7 tattoos and i love them all! I would have to say that the two that hurt the most was the lizard on my ankle and what most call the "tramp stamp" it went kinda on my tail bone and that was quite painful. It is very important that you think about what you are geting tattooed on your body because they will be there for ever and they kinda represent who you are.. it is def not a good idea to get a tatt when you are drunk or under the influence beacause for one your blood is thinner and the tat will not set right and its never good too wake up the next morning and find a pnik pig tattooed on your butt.. lol..that happened to one of my friends. and to those who have been hating on us that get tatts ... get over it , remember that its a free counrty and we can do what we want with our bodies... and its not like someone forced you to read the article so thats all on you.
people look...tattoos are art and the people who get them are artists.....i myself have 16....i'm 24......and i'm a resident doctor at an army hospital. some one said that tattoos are for people with low self esteem.....i happen to be very please with the way i am and with the person that i am.. maybe your the one with low self esteem........tattoos are beautiful and they are not ugly.....BFLOWER....open your minds...stop living in the 1950's
I got a tattoo of a butterfly on my lower back and some old man was like Oh I like your tramp stamp I was like what? Its a butterfly not a mans name or a naked girl on a strip pole. I like the comment that fat girls should stop getting there belly buttons pierced I tottaly agree GROSS...But my tattoo didnt hurt much and I am glad I got it It reminds me of a good time in my life and I would have felt bad today if i had not done it
So its not ok for someone to generalize about you and call your tattoo a "tramp stamp" but it IS ok for you generalize that everyone thinks an overweight girl with a belly button ring is "GROSS". <sniff> I smell a hypocrite.
So does anyone know a good tattoo artist I could contact for a few more I'm looking to get?
where you live?

I work in a very conservative brokerage firm with very conservative managers and I have 2 tattoos, one on the back of my shoulder, which by the way I didn't even feel going on, and one on my upper arm, that one hurt especially when working around the underside of my arm!! I can choose to show them off, or not. I have two children, a girl and a boy, and have always told them that if they want a tattoo when they are older, I would be thrilled to take them to get their first tattoo! Who knows, maybe I'll get another one with them. I think the key is that they should want something meaningful to them, not something trendy to show off to their friends. I would never and have never judged someone who is covered in ink or piercings as this is just what is on the outside. In my opionion, cliches are there because they are true, and none is truer than, "Its what is on the indide that counts!"
Tattoo's are just an expression of the person that wears them.
So if you do not want one or think they are "trashy", that's your choice.
But lay off the people that have them, and go to another forum to make
comments about something you actually know something about!!!
That's just my opinion! =)
From experience, the pain level of a tattooing process has a lot to do with the tattoo artist. I had one done on one of the "less sensitive" spots described in the article and it hurt like the devil because the man doing it was a gouger, really pressed down hard. Another one, done on a "more sensitive" spot, didn't hurt at all - and the artist was very light handed and gentle.
99% of all the tatoos I've seen look like crap - Its embrassing, like saying hey look at me, I live in a trailer park and I think I'm cool.

Perhaps you should expand your horizons beyond your local trailer park. You never know, maybe you will encounter someone with beautiful tattoos who could teach you to spell big words like "embarrassing" CORRECTLY so that you don't "embrass" yourself in public.
First of all, no one is forcing you into liking tattoos. If you don't like them that is your personal preference and that is all right because you are entitled to having your own opinion. Second of all, you don't need to be stereotyping people and their living conditions. Ignorance is not only damaging to yourself, but to others as well. Think before you make insults.
