Five Painful Places to Get a Tattoo

Obviously you do not have to run out and get one nor do you have to be friends with people who have tattoos but to say we are all just rednecks is pretty ignorant on your part and even slightly cantankerous...

I agree with tattooedlady. I've got tattoes in 2 of the 5 "most painful" places and for me it was just a slight discomfort. Pain is a relevant term and will vary from one person to the next and will be dependant on your tolerance to pain.

i have both sides of my ribs covered from my hip to my arm pit. i have well over 20 some hours in the chair. the longest session i could sit for was 4 hours. it was some of the worst pain ever. the arm pit felt like a hot dull razor blade was cutting me. this was the advice that i was givin. if you plan on getting your ribs tattooed get it while you are young. you are not going to want to deal with it when you are 60. i agree. after gettting my ribs done everything else is a cake walk.

Tattos are a form of art to the individuals who wear them. I guess this makes me a redneck according to Jussy. But this redneck is proud to wear one!!!! Go figure a Tattoo wearing redneck that lives in the city!!!

the most paintfull part to get a tattoo is the balls or the dick or bettewen the legs to.

To the 3rd commentor: I'm not a redneck by anymeans and I have 7 tattoos ; they all represent something special to me in mylife, yes some hurt and some did not, regardless, do not insult people when you have adsolutly NO idea what your talking about.!!

Another place that is painful as well is across the stomach region, i put one there and by golly it was very painful. That`s my opinion... It`s not tacky, it`s ones opinion if they so choose to get a tattoo, if you don`t like them then thats your opinion!... Don`t be judgemental of someone else`s choice,they usually have meanings and have a very special meaning... Watch Miami-Ink, anyone who gets a tattoo on that show have meanings for their tattoos...

i am a huge fan of the art on the bod flashing close to 11 tattoo's including the top of my foot and around my ankel..Neaither of witch hurt at all to tell you the truth my tattoo on my calve hurt 10 times more then any other spot .Most people who get tattooed describe it as kind of an orgasmic expirence. melissa from ontario

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. To generalize that "chicks with tattoos suck" or calling anyone with tattoos "tacky rednecks" just shows how ignorant and small-minded you are. Tattoos are very individual and personal to the one getting them. Someone with a tattoo generally doesn't care what a small-minded twit thinks anyway. Have a great day!

I have no tatoos but I know this for a fact that whatever you want badly,and I mean really badly, will not hurt! Isn't it the same with those who suffer for years to lose weight? Or go for piercing their bodies in odd areas? It is all in your head: If you want it bad, it will not hurt you. As for the areas mentioned in the article, it is cristal clear that they are all sensative areas. I am only saying that it shows how amazing our mind and mentality is.

you dont have to like them on others, but if you can't appreciate them as beautiful art then that's very sad. there is nothing else in life that you will have forever-guaranteed- and be able to take to the grave.
at the very least you should be able to appreciate other's commitment to somethin/someone they love. for instance, there are many lovely pieces of religious iconography done as tattoos- can you really say that a beautiful spanish influenced virgin mary is tacky and redneck? i think not.

My first and only tat was in 1965 just before we landed in Vietnam. It was done free hand with 5 needles wraped with a rubber band and stuck in the eraser of a pencil. It was high on my left shoulder. To this day it looks like it was done in a shop, just faded. It reads USMC with my serial number under it. The Marine who did it was going to fill the letters with red india ink, but weididn't have the time. The first couple of pokes numbed the area and it was painless.

To each their own people... you have just as much a right to think they're trashy and not get them as I do to love them and get as many as I want!
