Anybody who knows the Clinton machine knows the knives will come out. If they deny Obama the nomination by getting Michigan and Florida delegates to suddenly count, etc, or by rigging the super-delegate game, well, many will sit out the election, plus the GOP candidate will go more "populist" to pull in some of the disenfrachised Democrats and the Obama loving independents.

This is an excellent view of the situation in the democratic party. We have two powerful camps in our democratic race for the demo nomination. Everyone who is for Obama is trumpeting him just as much as everyone that is for Hillary is trumpeting her. That trumpeting by pundits in our national media is only fueling the divide between the two camps. The voters in each camp are hitting the blogs with such fervor and downright disdain for the other camp that it is going to be hard to bridge that once there is a nominee... in fact, I really don't believe that we will have everyone unite because there will be so much grief... and thus we have a McCain presidency unless a miracle happens where Hillary and Barack find a way to lead their camps together. THEY are the only ones who can do it!!! I wish the both could get together and lead this country together for what is needed... they BOTH could bring so much to the presidency. If it was my call, I believe that it would be great to have a Clinton-Obama presidency for 8 years and an Obama-Edwards the following 8 years. We can dream can't we??

"the Democrats will lose for sure" sounds something like a super bowl where all of the odds and money were on the patriotic change makers and the NY Giants took it home. Oh yeah baby NY Giant Hillary Clinton is going to win the front seat of the #1 Super Power like she won Super Tuesday.

. It will work out and hillary will win.Obama now knows superdelegates will be in play. Hillary ask for commitments early in her campaign. Those are the rules change them if you want for next election. But don't whine if you lose in these one. Because their is an elephant with lipstick to run against.

Hillary could actually win the nomination, if the 800 reserved "superdelegate" votes (20% of the total) are in Bill Clinton's pocket, but then the Democrats will lose for sure. With Obama at least they have a chance.

All you have to do is open your eyes to see that Hillary is the clear choice. Put away the debate and put in the champ. This all feels like the millions and millions we spend prosecuting the guilty. Get the obvious guilty on the fastrack to justice and get the Giant from NY on the fastrack to makin this country better!

Hillary is already losing. All she has left is to play on our fears - we shall prevail.

What is it with the media? If they had their way Obama would be anointed right away! Everything in this article is tilted favorably towards Obama and packed with criticism of others in the race. Why have primaries or general election or delegates? Let's have the media choose Obama - so all potential conflicts can be avoided.

I must disagree with much of this article, but the comment that "With Romney out of the race, conservatives will start discovering virtues about McCain they hadn't seen before" made me out right laugh. What virtues? McCain doesn't have any that correspond to conservatives. Ms. Clift must be an unpaid staff member of McCain's. Either that or she's smoking something. Just check out the website Ontheissues.com under McCain and check out his voting record. It speaks for itself. The man has a mixed record on abortion, gay rights, business, public education, the environment, church-state seperation, senior issues and progressive taxation. That's a lot of mixed records. And he voted against the Bush tax cuts TWICE, but started to support them when he decided to run for the Republican nomination. I believe that's what's called fip-flopping (with perfect timing) exactly what he's been critizing other of doing. Guess it's okay he when he does it. He used to support same-sex marriages too. Doesn't seem too conversative of a record to me. Reagan must be spinning in his grave right about now. The Republicans who support McCain must be one of three things:
    1. Either they haven't done their research on his voting record. (If he's filp-flopped before, who's to say he won't do it again?)
    2. They have done their research but because they're so desparate to hang onto the White House that they're willing to sell out the GOP to get it or
    3. they're not as conservative as they once thought they were.
So let the Rebpulicans elect McCain in November. Sometime next year, they'll wake up and say "Oh my God, we've elected a Democrat into the White House!" because he actually is one. And they'll have no one to blame but themselves.

And the delegates ....... probably be found among the 796 so-called superdelegates Now that I know my vote doesn't mean anything because of the superdelegates give me one good reason I should waste my time voting for someone just to have my vote overturned by superdelegates, electoral collage or the supreme court It's nice to see that democracy works for insiders and the people that are supposed to be the base of democracy don't count
