What part of China does this CLOWN live in? China is a Marxist Leninist State with little or no interest in the rights or freedom of their people, if they disagree with interests of the state. According to Mao the ends will always justify the means. The Communist Party couldn't give a *** about the simple people of China,as long as the Fat Party Bastards stay in power. So always remember this if some Determinist SOB over defends a crappy government like China, always ask that person, "What part of the government are you?" Why that question, because no sane person would ever defend a government that Imprisons 80 year old women for protesting the loss of their homes or throwing religious people for attending church.
China's Olympics are a rerun of Hitler's 1936 Olympics, all show. Now when does China Start the Holocost ?

I am wondering whether the author of this writer ever been to China, this is an baseless and misleading article. Some suggestions for the author: before writing anything about China, please try to learn more, know more and understand more about China. It would be ridiculous to convince the readers using such biased articles written by someone who has never been to China or who has never try to understand China or what the Chinese people think.

in this terrorist age, any country should go all out to crack down on potential problems when about to host an international event like the olympic games.. stop picking on china for trying to make those games a success.

Why does the author write with such a negative tone? News reporters SHOULD take a neutral stand and report/write objectivly, but I felt a strong biased tone when I read the article. When you write this way, you are trying to make readers unknowningly accept your view of the matter.

I agree with peterpp, Beijine welcomes foreigners to the 2008 Olympic game, as long as they can provide valid visa/passport. Governments everywhere suppress protests one way or another. If you recall the woman who protested to the Iraq war in front of white house because her son died fighting the war there, but what happened to her? She, too, was beat up by the American police and JAILED.
Talk about valid visas, the U.S has gone through many many illegal immigrant raids, I still remember the poor pregnant lady who went to routine immigration office for updates, and they set up a trap to deport her. And if you recall, force was used on her, and she lose her unborn baby as a result.

Please STOP writing anything China related articles with a negative tone just because China's a communist country. Please keep in mind that China has progressed so much in the last 30 years, and even though China has claimed its establishment in the late 1940s, it's really the last 30 years that had been real meaningful. The government has made slow progesses on human rights, but eventually it will get there. By that, I do not mean by the American standard, after all, why should every nation look up to the U.S or any other country for that matter? As long as one can work out a way that best suits the needs of its citizens, that's all that matters.

Why the Chinese goverment should trust the foreigners who could not produce passports or valid visas? Can you tell me which goverment in the world trusts them? The authors want to mislead the readers. They want the readers to believe that Beijing doesn't welcome foreigners during the Summer Olympics. Actually, Beijing welcomes foreigners who can produce passports or valid visas.
